Praise the Lord for you..
Thank you Cardinal Goh for your very insightful explanations and philosophy about the Catholic Church. I hope non-catholics now have a better understanding of our religion. but also one question you should have include, is the growing misconception of non-catholics thinking we catholics worship and treat Mary as one of our gods too. Ps. we catholics dont worship Mary as a god but we pray through the INTERCESSION of Mary, with the help of MARY - by praying to Mary, the mother god, our prayers will be heard more.. Mary is also important in our catholic faith. (feel free to correct me if im wrong, brothers and sisters, thank you. god bless. )
i’m not a catholic but a student of philosophy, it’s comforting to know that philosophy is foundational to the catholic faith.
Wow this is such a blessed occasion that you have Cardinal William Goh to your talk show. Cardinal is so relatable and so welcoming. Well done! This makes our Catholic religion so much more appealing to the non catholics. Love this EPIC episode ❤
Such a nice & genuine conversation. May the Holy Spirit help us seek true happiness and joy which can only be satisfied by God through Jesus & his Church. We’re made for love and to love. Deeply grateful to be Catholics. Thank you Your Eminence & the team for a lovely talk

Greetings and many congratulations from Malaysia on your appointment to cardinal, Your Eminence. My family and I followed your weekly Sunday online mass via KZread during the covid lockdown. We enjoyed your weekly sermons as it was very in touch and applicable to our daily lives and activities. We miss attending your sermons. Take care, stay safe, and my family and I wish you further promotions in the near future, Your Eminence . Warmest regards, and May our Almighty Father continue to Guide and Bless you with His plans for you . 🙏 Amen🙏
This is so cool! Glad the discussion was civil and respectful on both sides! Usually when cardinals speak, they have to be very careful as people can twist their words [hence the stress]
wow such a nice episode! i love the fact that again and again Singapore's religious leaders are indeed moderate! Such a pleasure listening to him!
This episode (alongside the other episodes where religion is discussed) is incredibly eye-opening. Would appreciate it if TDK could feature other religions as well such as Hinduism and Sikhism to create more awareness and acceptance. Keep up the amazing podcasts! Thanks!
I love these religious series!! sad to see that JP is not in this episode because normally I am intrigued by his thoughts on religion. Can't wait to see other religious leaders.
Interesting discussions. Cardinal William Goh is God sent and we are grateful for his wisdom and daily reflections. Recommend you to read his daily reflections. God bless
We love Cardinal William Goh, He is such an awsome and inspirational to all our family...He is Wonderful and Blessed by our Lord Jesus Christ the only Son of the almighty God.
I’m an Orthodox Christian and I attend The Greek Orthodox Church. It’s nice to know that Cardinal Goh is such an acceptable and approachable person for someone of his stature. Thanks for doing the good work that you all do. I also see a good team spirit going there.
It's been awhile since I saw Bishop William. 🎉 This is a rare podcast.

Reason for my conversion to Catholic is the teaching, the liturgy and the respect for Mother Mary.
Invincible erroneous conscience - Ignorance which could have been avoided (vincible) means our action is morally wrong. Mistakes deriving from ignorance we could not have avoided (invincible) means our action is not morally wrong. That was super interesting. Thanks.
Glad that my RICA instructor shared the link and encouraged us to watch this video to have a broader perspective and understanding of some of the topics discussed. To the producers, well done. Since you have done one interview with Cardinal William, and other series on Taoism and Islam, how about an interview with Kong Hee?
Well done guys.. impressive discussion.
Not bad, but I wish Father Cardinal William Goh would share that the miracle we have happens at EVERY mass. That is the Eucharistic miracle!
Awesome video ❤ Proud to be a catholic 🎉
Nice conversation, so interesting! Please do a Tibetan Buddhist one or a religious leader of one of the less prominent religion - Sikhism, Baháʼí, Judaism, Jainism or Zoroastrianism.

Oh yes! I have met some of the people from the Bahá'í community & i actually thought that their beliefs were quite interesting - i think it would be nice to bring in the head of Bahá'í as a guest to share more about their religion!

touch on diffcult topic and discusion was civil and not extreme.
Ultimate happiness ❤
I liked how John deliberately interrupted Archbishop in a very soft tone to kind of calm him down when he was getting very passionate about being inspired by other religions, hallmarks of a really good podcast host

Most of the questions from the hosts weren’t that difficult/insightful to be honest. The only issue where the Cardinal really delved deeper into was the LGBTQ one.
now my question is, does god listens to the cardinal/pope more? or god listens to everyone equally?
@jeremiahong248

@Misery. God listens to everyone equally but He answers their prayers in accordance to His will.

Is Singapore’s Cardinal Elected by Christian Community like in most countries or Politically Appointed ?
@jlawrence0181

Cardinals are appointed by the Pope, and not approved by government authorities (except in the PRC).
Shouldn't it be "The Pope knows him" instead.😂
A little birdie told me that he is one of two cardinals earmarked to be the next Pope.

But truth can change when facts change. Hundreds of years ago, the truth may have been that the world was flat. But we now know this is no longer true.

not how that word works, what people perceive as true changes but the world was always round regardless. Also we have known the earth is round for thousands of years in the west.
Can tell Cardinal William felt so strongly when John talked about “isn’t it weird being in a room with people who subscribe to a god that is wrong?” This is why I have such a huge issue with Christians. As a catholic myself, I have never been taught this - John are you sure you’re Catholic?

Nothing wrong with him asking difficult questions. It’s his job as an interviewer. Whether he truly feels that way or not is another thing.

is a script la. he needs to ask that specific question to achieve a certain outcome for this interview
@sidewalkslam
Жыл бұрын
huh, it was obvious to me that he was asking the question because it is commonly know that there are indeed people of other religions who do think that people who subscribe to other gods (and not theirs) are wrong, not because he did not understand it. it was to get a discussion going.
@ChristianFuturist7

@@sidewalkslam Catholic teaching says that only christians worship the one true God, however, other religions may have some truth or some semblance of that true God. He would agree that people who subscribe others are wrong and should find the religion that is the fullness of the truth however other religions may still have good things, they are just incomplete.

communion is the body and blood of jesus, Paul in holy scripture said "For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves."
