You have to keep in mind that people on low carb and keto diets often eat less than those eating more carbohydrates, so it may seem more expensive, but that food is going farther if someone is doing OMAD, only eating a couple times a day or doing several day fasts. So not necessarily expensive

@Lisa V It’s law regulations that makes US produced food in general so bad compared to the countries of the European Union (27 countries) The EU has much much stricter requirements about foods and the US doesn’t live up to them by far. Any pesticide, food additives, anything has to be proven safe by research and studies, submitted to the scientific divisions of the EU agricultural agency, before approved. GMO is banned in the EU. My country, Sweden (EU member) banned the use of growth hormones and antibiotics in healthy animals in 1985, first country in the world to do so. The rest of the world is slowly picking up now. Sweden has very strict animal welfare and environmental laws to. I can see the difference in for instance meat from abroad and when I travel abroad. The taste is so much better in domestic foods. In Sweden we don’t have salmonella anymore. We love US food across Europe - burgers and what not are extremely popular - but we don’t want to eat it produced in the US and most or the vast majority is banned from import because it doesn’t hold up to the food regulation laws.

As a type 1 diabetic, there's nothing I find more irritating then when people call a food 'diabetic friendly' because it's low carb. There are 2 things wrong with this: 1. type 1 diabetics can eat carbs!!!! We just have to match our insulin dose and insulin timing to the carbs in the food we eat, so we can literally eat anything everyone else can. 2. if a diabetic does choose to go low carb (which is totally their right and should be decided on personal preference, NOT what other people think is best for you), these foods still aren't 'diabetic friendly'. In the absence of carbs, protein and fat affect blood sugar levels, and a type 1 diabetic will instead have to calculate insulin ratios for protein and fat, rather than carbs. Can we stop seeing 'diabetes' as a one size fits all disease?!

Yes! I have diabetes type 2... but I also hate a lot of the “diabetic friendly“ stuff because not every diabetic has the same reaction to the same types of food. I grew up with a dad who has a very similar attitude toward food as Bobby, and I even followed Bobby's videos every week for a few years, and while I'm glad I developed a taste for healthy foods like fruits and vegetables, I would have REALLY preferred to have my parent be less obsessive about what we ate. It made me really anxious about my food choices, and like Abbey said, once I did get the chance to eat what I want, I went wild and ate just about anything that I hadn't eaten before. I'm fortunate that I didn't develop an ED, but I did have an unhealthy relationship with food and I'm glad I have a much healthier relationship with it now. To this day though, I still deal with health-related anxiety because my dad kept hammering the importance of how certain foods will prevent cancer and others will cause it every single day. So, I do believe there is definitely something to be said about how obsession with clean eating can have detrimental effects on one's physical and mental health. Also, I wasted a lot of money as a broke college student on simultaneously trying delicious "unhealthy" foods I'd never gotten to eat before and grocery shopping expensive "healthy" supplements and powders and oils to "counterbalance."

Yeah. Parents do a number on us that's for sure. My mom didn't raise me this extreme or anything, but she ate the smallest amount of food possible from dawn until 6 p.m. and then had dinner in normal amounts and called it good. Growing up with that example? Even though I'm fat? I still struggle to eat more than once a day because of seeing it my whole life. Plus I was afraid of treat foods a lot because my mom really restricted them -- until I over ate them in my 20s and I'm finally back in a healthy and balanced place about that (at 36). Long legacy of xenophobia tied in with Western economic competition playing out here! During the Victorian era, Britain wanted to rely less on Chinese tea and get the market going on their British-processed blended teas (blended with tea leaves from China and colonized-India). A whole campaign which included the scientific community, tried to convince consumers that Chinese tea was “dirty” and bad and that the blended ones, although more acidic and harsher tasting at the time was better for you. It was also from this time that milk & sugar in your tea was encouraged (because again of the increases tannins and strength of blended teas at the time). Right. One of my grandmothers was raised poor in Mississippi. She chain smoked Kool 100 cigarettes while watching her soap operas, cooked with lard, ate huge farm hand breakfasts complete with bacon AND sausage every day, drank soda (she loved her RC cola), fried pretty much everything that could be fried, got us grandkids White Castle or Burger King for lunch when we’d stay with her in the summer... and lived into her 90’s. My other grandmother was ahead of her time in the 50’s. Into yoga, clean eating (she was a weirdo trailblazer with non dairy milks, meat substitutes, and vegetarianism), and meditation. We’re all very healthy and have a great relationship with food instead of having an obsessive need to hunt down the latest super food or magic tincture. Genetics plays a huge role too.

I think you mean Abbey's channel/followers. No where does Bobby say you have to eat like him. He's always recommending stuff that he doesn't eat, cause it's the best you can get. Abbey on the other hand tells her followers that healthy nutrition is hard, so eat white bread and sugar cereal and don't listen to all of those other 'bad' experts (including practicing doctors). Her follows obey her and believe her indoctrination. So who's in a cult now?

Right!!! I dont follow everything he suggest. I choose what works for me and what l can afford. I started looking at the back of the package and read the labels. The front package is misleading. It say organic or 100 % natural until l read the back. He has helped me alot. My doctor just push pills and l push back and took control of my diet and lower my blood pressure and sugar level. My dietician suggested foods that spike my blood sugar levels to the roof so l fired her and did my own research. He educated you unlike these dietician and doctors who want you to keep coming back to the office for those high co pays. Always do your research. I rather pay a little more for organic meats and products that have none or less nasty ingredients than those high medical bills and prescriptions. I can use that money on healthy food choices.

He’s a good, loving Daddy. How about supporting others rather than bashing them or judging them. If Bobby gets excited about all of his Keto stuff, then more power to him. Why does Abbey have to get so angry about Bobby being “obsessive” or hyping new trends. Why is she so cranky? If Abbey is so wonderful and kind, and “golly-gee” supportive and altruistic, then why resort to cursing over his videos? Hmmmm. Bobby seems a heck of a lot happier than Abbey…guess whatever he’s doing is working for Bobby. Abbey talks about all of the tweaks she would do. She’s equally obsessive because she “tweaks” everyone’s diets on her channel. He’s not looking for nutritional advice from you, Abbey. You’re cussing over Bobby’s “moralizing” food. You’re spreading your disapproval and judging him because you don’t agree with him. You’re not anyone’s personal doctor here. Your channel isn’t/shouldn’t be a substitute for people with eating disorders or for anyone trying to eat well. Bobby is actually teaching about reading labels and eating better(as he sees it…just as you likewise do the same). You just seem to be of the opinion that your ways are “higher” than his. Anyone here who is struggling should be seeking real medical support. Your cursing isn’t positive or professional, even. It actually diminishes your credibility. If you’re speaking truth, no need to be profane. You’re so worried about Bobby’s little girl. Why don’t you worry about your little children hearing their Mommy’s potty mouth. Do you think they will feel proud to hear their Mother speaking this way? If so, maybe you should spend more time worrying about that than other people’s channel content.

"His food behavior is very dangerous" No, it is not. What's *dangerous* is "intuitive eating" nonsense and eating for pleasure and having to get your leg amputated or getting cataracts, arthritis, heart disease, etc later on in life. It's a bit expensive with all those supplements, but considering the amount of runaway disease these days (even among younger individuals) it's not unreasonable to be vigilant about a lot of what you're putting in your mouth

It seemed more well balanced. It seemed to me he jumped on the keto/Paleo train to appeal to a bigger platform and make more money. So what seemed to start out as a love for cooking and meal prep evolved into a money maker.
