Honestly Chi Blocking seems like a harder skill to learn than any of the 4 elements. You have to have an understanding of anatomy, insane athleticism to close the distance on a bender, and you have nothing to compensate for any weaknesses (i.e seismic sense, healing.)

Or potentially a select few folks in the Fire Nation could have been trained in this form of combat, as Zeisan being Fire Nation royalty might have impacted it's notoriety and use. Whether or not Zeisan shared this technique to other cultures might still be vague.

​​@@normanclatcher She was more into firebending. I believe that the Fire Nation Family values bending more considering that zuko's dad was angry when he thought the zuko was a non-bender although he wasn't.

One thing chi blockers, the Kiyoshi warriors and knife throwing Mai thought me. In the Avatar universe, your gifts makes you powerful, but so does your willpower and hardwork. Non-benders can be just as deadly as benders. And what makes Azula even more terrifying is that she knew this. Remember when she lost her powers during the eclipse, without her bending powers, she was still extremely capable and confident with her skills without firebending.

I agree with what you say about non-benders using hard work to reach or surpass benders. One thing I would say is that while Azula didn't have her bending during the Eclipse, she did have Dai Li agents present to do most of the fighting.

Before Legend of Korra, the creators of Avatar should've focused on making these stories into mini series. Like they could've done a series about Kiyoshi. They could've done one about young Iroh. They could've done one about Zeisan. Even one about kid Azula. We really needed more fire nation setting stories. The fire nation is such a cool country. We needed also more of the original air nomads & their temples. What really gave the legend of Korra its positive reception to the fans was the origin story of Avatar Wan.

I like the designs of the Firenations people the most. The Red/Grey/Gold combination, the hairstyle amd the cloths. Its just perfect

Zukos character development was one of the best ever seen in animation history.

Chi blocking was such a great addition to the story and I love how it's "villain" of season 1 korra (as well as the no-no bending outlawed by katara)

Wow, she should've been included in the original show. Her background gives so much context to many of Sozin's grave actions.

There’s a theory at Tai-Lee’s family are secret air nomads who were traveling during the massacre and never went home. So this theory backs it up

I'm 100% on board the "This is Ty Lee's ancestor" train.

This adds to the theory of Ty Lee, fire nation high status citizen, having air nomad heritage. Sozin's sister could have found out his plan and saved her friends or children from going extinct and hiding them in the fire nation. However, due to them being away from their home and place of spiritual ties, they lost their abilities to bend overtime, as many have(including Kiyoshi's mother) and seemingly gone extinct. Ty Lee could have 1, taken well to chi blocking because of her heritage. Or 2, taught herself for the same reason. I think how she learned was mentioned in the series at some point but I can't remember

Zuko and that lucky talk is always epic to hear. Bro had it rough from the get go

I kind of liked the original theory that Fire Nation aristocracy had a class leaning to study Air philosophy more than merely each individual having a one off circumstance or obsession. Its a better worldbuilding element, related to irl concepts, and doesnt require every person being related

That would explain alot more as to why Ty Lee looks more like an air bender

Chi Blocking is even scarier when Benders know it (Amon). Chi Blocking is hinted to be associated with the Water Tribe (there were a bunch in the South Pole with the skill). And it makes sense given the knowledge of healing and chi paths.

Nobility, yes. Royalty, no. Since she's not directly descended from the line that ascended the throne, she would not retain any royal titles. Otherwise, 99% of people with any European ancestry would be able to claim royal titles, as nearly all of us are descended from King Charlemagne.

Oh no there's chi blockers all around the avatar world. I highly doubt ty lee ever trained the equalists to do it after all. And there was even a few chi blockers in some southern water tribe villages that we got to see in the comics.

I don’t think she actually feel in love with him, she only wanted to marry him as a political marriage because of some movements in the fire nation at the time. They respected each other and enjoyed each others company but didn’t actually love one another as far as I’m aware.

This is the official Avatar: The Last Airbender channel so I’m guessing this is official lore but even I don’t know for sure. All I’m saying is that in this video they’re talking about Sozin’s sister since it seemed like you thought they were talking about Azula for some reason I was trying to explain to you that they weren’t.

So basically the theory of Tu lee being a descendant of air normad is even more possible
