Have you ever applied to be on a marketplace like Creative Market or Envato?

Love this! Don't create to fit in, you have to create for yourself first. Learn what you can from other creatives, and certainly buy from and support other creatives where you can, but use those things to create something new. Trying to fit in, you'll surely lose yourself and miss some opportunities. Though I have yet to do something with a lot of pictures, I have taken my share of pictures of dirt, lol. SPRLTV is looking great, btw!

Thanks much. And yes, keep snapping, but definitely turn those photos into something for yourself, one way or another.

Glad I watched this video. I’m about to have a lot more time to devote to design, and like you, but perhaps thanks to you, I stop and take pictures of concrete textures all over the place.

I have never applied, I should look them up. I just do Etsy. I love doing typo photography or graphics. But yeah selling point is hard. I had to learn to just design very plain unless it’s a fun product. So making stuff for yourself. I just got a canon GP 2000 24 inch printer. It’s gonna be fun when I get some time to make my own art. I’m gonna be a David Carson for a minute. Relive my 1990s dreams via art. Lol but really doing stuff for myself I learn new ways to make better customization for new products to sell to customers.

You have to be very careful, or the 'design world' will, by stealth really, WILL swallow you up..you can end up like a man, or woman, alone and adrift on the sea. Sometimes you see land and all seems well and then all you can see, is sea, and you're lost again, bobbing up and down, all alone lost and searching...I've cut things right back, got back to what has always been my main passion, which is photography and I mainly utilise Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop and the Affinity suite, to facilitate the end result of my photography...I do still use Ps and Photo to design and create, album covers, textures, vintage papers, posters etc, but now much more selectively...i.e. less is more, with the emphasis very much on high quality over quantity, producing limited output, that helps in not getting overwhelmed with it all and I think being more professional as a result.

what once was old is new again but if you change to only produce art to please the numbers than you become lost in the over saturated mass of artists you however are one of those that one day THEY realise that's new and... different... that's when it all changes ;) now lets talk about that massive foundation crack, lol, might want to check the structure to make sure it's not shifting as the crack gets bigger.

Oh that crack has definitely shifted, but it seems to be stable for the moment. We need to redo the entire garage, but this is a really old home in a historic district, so it comes with a TON of cost and red tape.

@@DaveConrey I bet but it's uniqueness of beauty must make it worth it, you just need to be creative in the repairs ;)
