Join Fy Nyth on social media - mewe.com/i/fynyth ! If you are new to my channel and Fy Nyth (Welsh for "My Nest") in general, welcome! I'm Ariel. Along with my husband Clay, our dogs, cats, bees, and some poultry, we live in a tiny house on wheels in the mountains of western Wyoming and are working on setting into our own new little homestead. I've been living this lifestyle since 2014 and my wonderful partner has joined me more recently. What will you find if you follow the channel and watch the videos?
Real life here. I try to show the good and the bad. The ups and the downs. What works, and what doesn't. The parts I love (most of it!), and the things that suck. Not just the showroom version of a tiny house, but everyday life in a tiny house. Not just the romantic idea of "homesteading" or off grid life, but the everyday details of this lifestyle. We split wood for heat, fill the water tank from a gravity fed spring, and attempt to grow as much of our own food as possible between the weather and wildlife here. I hope to help others learn from mistakes and make life just a little easier for anyone else interested in pursuing a similar lifestyle.
We live in a somewhat harsh and cold climate, but enjoy the stunning scenery and wildlife that we are surrounded by on a daily basis. You'll also see videos of the nature and wildlife around my home. If you are interested in my photography or purchasing a photo, I'd love if you follow that over at mewe.com/join/arielcelestepho... or ArielCelestePhotography.zenfolio.com!

Happy Thanksgiving, Ariel and Clay! I'll bet you went well over 1000 lbs of food from the garden if you count all those strawberries Clay ate straight out of the garden, ha!

So glad I finally got caught up with you and I am looking forward to going back and watching the past ones ❤
Take care of your hands! They are precious and deserve to be treated with love.
It is now January. I hope you are doing well!
You give your followers so much great information, here is something back you might like. I take my work pants and sew a “pocket” on the inside by the knees. Then slide squares of blue camping foam into the “pockets”. A little padding while kneeling sure is nice. You don’t kneel much, but Clay does. Way more comfortable than external knee pads. Can slide out the foam to wash or if doing something you are not kneeling. You do have to put the pockets where your knees hit when kneeling. Otherwise they will be too high.
I can also attest to the weed juice as fertiliser, and combined also with worm juice the plants thrive 👍
Love beets! If you grow parsnips do you let them stay in the ground? When I lived in Newfoundland people would leave them until they had been in ground through several frosts. They thought parsnips are sweeter if they go through a couple of frosts. We used to grow plenty in about 400 square feet. You guys work darn hard!
Wanted to congratulate you on the growth of your channel (85k). I remember when you had 4k! Well deserve and keep on going!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
The beet greens are not edible now. Do you eat the greens earlier in the season? Haha, you answered my question.
Happy tiny anniversary. Is this year 10?
Thank you.
I have no doubt that you did get to that 1000 #’s… think of all that you snacked on as you were out working in garden & think of all that you tossed for compost thanks to those mice nibbling or fruit that fell on ground… to me that all counts- - Do you count honey? It’s a food that your busy bees produced…. Just all so impressive & incredible…..Hope your Thanksgiving was one of your best ever 🦃
Do you ever make pickled beets?
When someone mentions the size of his/her garden, I always wonder if it's garden footprint or planting area. WRT what you do with "all the food", 100lbs of food sounds like a lot but: the average man eats 1000 lbs of food per year. That's 1 lb per meal and a snack once in a while. Only 2/3 of the garden produce is actually used for food.
❤😊❤😊❤
What’s your favorite beet recipe for people who are leery of beets, but open to trying?❤️👍🏼
