I feel slandered & I'm happy with it hahaha! 🤣 Edit: I just want to say that I really feel like the 6-Player Draft mode for Clash Mini really brought the game 1 step towards global. It has a ton of depth to it, and it's a LOT of fun! The game still needs a lot of improvements before Global, but I'm still betting in it going global!

@@KrazyCouch2 Wdym past supercell? They have always had high expectations for their games. Their first games (Hay day and Clash of Clans) are very successful, Clash of Clans is like top 5 mobile game ever and Hay Day is consistently a top 50 game for the whole time it’s been out.

This critique on Supercell’s current performance was really good, no aggressiveness just 3 friends genuinely passionate about the longevity of the games they play and love

I love the idea of OJ making an adult oriented clash royale/brawlstars podcast. Both of them have a huge adult player base and too many KZreadrs are scared of scaring away their younger audience which inadvertently marginalizes the adult player base by forcing creators to be too positive and censor themselves. I don’t blame those KZreadrs for doing that, but I highly respect OJ for making another channel just for us. btw OJ if you’re reading this : amazing job, I love it, please invite CWA and Kairos for future episodes. if you want to, I think you can upload these to Apple Podcasts too if you haven’t already, but regardless keep up the great work 🔥🔥🔥 Edit:grammar and spelling mistakes

Just to reference how much better they made progression during the 8 month period before they started changing the gears I had barely any level 10s, but in just the the last 6 ish months since they made the changes to gears, removed boxes and now mastery I have all my brawlers at level 10 AND some level 11s, and I'm a steady progress to get them all to level 11

ye BS is way more FTP now, i came back a little more than a year ago wit my most maxxed brawler was lvl8 poco but now i have 19 power 11 and 63 brawlers

About the lack of strategy in Clash Mini, I think this has slowly improved over time with just balancing, & of course gizmos help a ton, you can actually actively counter-play opponents now (compared to before), & RNG is reduced quite a lot. Hopefully new draft gamemode solves retention too

I love how genuine OJ is. When he was being kinda looked down for not being hypercritical of Supercell for CR update (although he did take his humorous shots at them), he came out with an honest opinion without any constraints from Supercell to give his honest opinion and the somewhat general take of other passionate players. Thank you for this.

Well if it don’t go global this year I doubt they will continue the game the next update could be the last update either before global or death as it’s reaching where Brawl stars took in amount of time in beta

I feel like one of the most annoying things in the updated that not many people talk about is path of legends changing to super mega draft. It takes so much time, and the gamemode is not even fun.

What a coincidence that peeling the orange would release right about when i decided to start to listen to podcasts. Great one, OJ and everyone BTS. i forsee great future for this channel.

I remember being in the top 200 in my country when gears came out. I was F2p and after 2 weeks of playing the update i just didnt want to play anymore but around christmas i started playing again and its actually fun now.

What an amazing on violent discussion of the game’s recent update, as well as a talk about mobile gaming in general. More people need to make videos as spectacular as this!

For Ben’s question on how long would it take a f2p to level up a champion to level 14 here is my answer as a f2p player who had enough xp to already be at king level 14 by the time level 14 came to the game. As of February I finally unlocked the mighty miner meaning I have all the cards. In total I have collected a total of 21 champion cards and I have plaid continuously since level 14 came out and have gotten the most progress I could possibly get.

Hi oj this is the dirst podcast where i really wanted to listen to all of it because these are themes i can relate with. I love yalls Yt channels.

It’s so satisfying to hear the content creators with no restrictions. I love this podcast already!

Its funny because the lack of depth in Clash mini is mainly just for unexperienced players its like there is no spectrum you're either a Pro or have no idea what you're doing As someone who drops More hours on this game (playing/Making and watching Vids/Engaging in the Community) than anything else i still discover some small strategies every now and then regularly Its just not much of the new players will put up with the "Randomness" they feel the game has up until they reach the Understanding to be able to Actually know what they are doing They need to somehow fix the super sharp skill ceiling curve

@@PeelingTheOrange yes oj this guy is telling the truth, when you say clash mini is not going global or it doesnt have strategies, it is getting bad popularity. whenever u do clash mini video, you dont have any clue what you are doing and i would be screaming in my head. but i am very addictive and once you gain experience of the game. u will realise how much strategy it requires. strategy in clash mini is not direct or front looking but deep, which is bad for new players and makes it look random

As someone thats been making Clash Mini videos for a year. Over 300 uploads, I don't see this game going global until October. Clash Mini is so one dimensional and feels flat. The only thing that's saving it is the new Event and the balance changing happening every month. I love this game. I'm a diehard fan, but I agree. Game isn't ready YET. However, I trust the developers to be transparent and will make the right choices.

Let's be honest. Are card levels even fit for clash Royale? I'm not kidding. I think card levels don't fit in CR. It does fit Brawl and CoC, but the CR leveling system was flawed from the get go, heavily relying on magic items and killing deck variety. Let's compare it to Brawl Stars for example. Here, there are no magic items, and every brawler and their builds are playable. Even a level 1 is playable as the game can adjust the matchmaking to make the game somewhat fair. You could even argue that each brawler can be considered separate individual archetypes because of the different syles and the playability. On the other hand, CR HEAVILY relies on literal progression jumps provided by the Book of Book items, instantly filling the card count bar from black to green. The current riot against the removal of these books from tje pass more than proves my point. Archetype switching is what made me question the viability of card levels in this game. Unlocking a card in CR doesn't mean a new archetype to play, and underleveled cards are effectively banned from usage until the card is upgraded and progression jumped to the level of the other cards. Combined with the limited number of win conditions in the game, the game can become very stale especially to midladder players. Oh boy, midladder. I wish they didn't have a separate meta. This thing divides the community, makes tutorials less effective, balancing cards like Wizard and MK very controversial, and the mockery and the HE-HE-HE-HA's against this shit is killing the game IMO. The midladder meta is defined by splashes, which I get it. It's easy to grasp onto when you're new to the game. However, the game doesn't offer a lot of ways to help players break out from the tendancy. With all the measures that prevent easy archetype switching I mentioned before, the midladder meta has become as stale as the Phoenix meta at launch, but unlike it taking a few months, it's been 7 years since the start of the same midladder meta with no hope for a drastic change. So how do you fix the leveling system? How about we *remove card levels* entirely? Also, how about *tower level 150*? Each level would increase the card's stats by 1% instead of 10 to avoid power creep, and make leveling feel like a more liniar progress. Card unlocking would fallow the Brawl Stars style progression, which would allow the game to prepare for the EU ban of loot boxes. The rarities and their minimum levels would be still be affected though, which means rares won't be unlockable until level 40. This would require a few more level reclassifications though such as swapping the rarities of RG and Giant, and the same treartment for mini PEKKA and Ebarbs. This change would however, hurt semi-maxed out players who might be punished for not upgrading their clone spells or whatever. Of course, the conversion to the new system would need to be very careful, but since Brawl stars did it, I bet CR would have the capability too. This change aims to make midladder a more flexible meta that can dynamically change along side the top dogs. This system would also allow for special card abilities to be more affordable and have less backlash than the riot we're facing right now. This system could also allow deck diversity by introducing weekly ban cards. Situations like all spell bans would shift the meta a lot and make off-meta decks more viable and enjoyable.

What's even more ironic is that Masteries are bad for CR, because it adds insult to injury on the incredibly stale midladder meta. Who the fuck would try out new decks when you are also rewarded for keeping your deck as is> Being underleveled is more than enough as a punishment for deck switching, and now this game is deviding the community like crazy.
