Perhaps they might do something like that for its evolution? That was their unique gimmick back in the day when there was only the ice spirit.

A really big issue the triple fire spirits is that sometimes they would jump onto an enemy that was already going to die from one of their brothers. This came from an issue with the general AI of clash royal where troops will leave an enemy as dead if the finishing attack is already coming its way, but this doesn't count toward an enemy dying from a splash attack. It made the fire spirits far too inconsistent in getting the actual splash that you wanted from them because they would all kill themselves on the same few troops. Changing the card to one fire spirit helped solve this issue.

With that argument, the Ai issue could be fixed instead of making a complete rework on the card. Personally not against nor do I support the rework instead of the change to AI, But I think it could be noted that to most people, the reason fire spirits were unique, even when compared to other spirits, was that it had 3 spirits instes of just a single spirit like Heal Spirit or Ice Spirit. It's a tiny change, and even when the stats of the card were changed to make the stats the same as the old 3 spirits, it's still very different as it means that it "technically" is less tanky to single-shot enemies like Musketeers. Not to mention, with the recent newer cards like Electro Dragon and other AOE/Splash DMG cards, it's still a wonder on what would've happened if Fire Spirits still had 3 spirits instead of being changed to 1.

Imagine if after hit unit have a burning effect, and burning will apply to others if they contact with other units. Burning should dealt enough damage to kill swarms fast, but not do too much to match fireball dmg. And I think burning should have dmg reduction for tower just like spells or no damage to not make 1 elixir walking fireball

Something I find weird too is that in all artworks they clearly have feet and arms, but in-match they wobble around like South Park characters

I really miss the old Fire Spirit trio. My main deck for years has been a Golem Night Witch Clone deck with Fire Spirits, Zap, and Log. With those cards plus Dart Golbin, I was able to deal massive damage against any push and cloning a full Fire Spirit Trio with (old) Night Witch and Golem just deatroyed full towers in seconds and that just doesn’t happen anymore. I never replaced Fire Spirit because it doesn’t have a replacement but the entire deck feels less powerful and not being able to beat things like E Golem or Barbarians easily really hurts, but again, there was never a replacement. Maybe one day they'll add a card that worked like old Fire Spirits

Havent played clash royale for a while but they removed the other two? Thats what made it unique from the other spirits. One froze, one chained lightning, one healed, and one did big damage and had 3 to do even more damage

Fire spirits enjoyer, used them in every deck since they came out until I quit. Came back on the game to try it out again and... look how they massacred my spirits.

Evolutions make thing weird in this area because they require additional resources to acquire, limiting their impact on midladder to at least some extent.

Bruh in my opinion fire spirits plural was the best cheap card for dealing with swarms, even if under leveled it was so fun to play but just having 1 fire spirit makes me honestly annoyed even seeing a fire spirit in the game, to me supercede killed 2 cards with 1 stone, furnace and spirits. I also hate seeing competitive get the most attention it's killed so many cards.

I miss triple fire spirit

Something I remember from the 2 elixir firespirits, I think this was a rounding error but at lvl 9 - 13 the firespirits would actually survive on 1 HP (going against equal level tower) and at lvl 8 and lower they would die in one shot. Idk how many people caught this but I found out while playing ladder at this time.

Prime 3 fire spirit used to be so damn good, they countered so many cards it was crazy

I loved old fire spirits. I wish I got it back every day. Like yeah OK funny now it does more damage. But before that they would destroy larger swarms. Take down guards. Survive a few hits from ranged units. Pushed larger troop more efficiently. Etc etc. It was just more fun.

The audacity to give the ice spirit a evolution before the fire spirit(s) give my boy his glory back!

Ahh the Old Testament of Fire Spirit. Such a Unique card back in the day. Seeing it now it’s healthy but I missed those days of seeing 3 of them and dive bombing my opponent with Giant Skelly. I was a mid ladder player, but still i didn’t care if they were good or bad. I just wanted to deal with those swarms with damage and splash. I’m not a good player but those 3 little guys kept me going and dopamine hit me man. Cool video man

i remember back when i was still playing few years ago, my most fun strategy, no matter if win or not, was mirror furnace clone fire spirit and everything else was 1/2/3 elixir card i just builded up furnaces in the back with perfect timing to make them all spawn spirits at the same time, making enemy play tower deffence litterally, it wasnt 2 spirits, back then he had waves of kamikazes running into his tower, that i double cloned when the time has come it was always so fun to play it and see the tower get oneshotted by army of kamikadzes

Still remember using them when it was 3 fire spirits! 🔥

I really really miss the 3 fire spirits. I played back when the released but I'm just picking it back up now and had no idea it was only 1. Fire spirits were one of my favorite cards.

i distinctly remember using fire spirits in a meta knight, night witch, and bandit deck i came up with when i first unlocked bandit at its release. Back then i remember absolutely adoring fire sprits and i always thought they had so much utility. i was surprised to hear they were considered as bad when they were still their 3 troop variant. I used that deck for years and when they changed it to just one troop it felt like it completely ruined the flow of my deck

I remember using the 3 fire spirts behind balloon and rage and it would perfectly counter minion horde which everyone played back in the day. Kind of sad how much they ruined this card for me, got to a point where it was useless.

I do remember using fire spirits when they were the trio in like 90% of my decks back then and remember loving them, I also never dropped them right on a unit so they just die

The old fire spirits were my favourite card by far, my first ever maxed card a few months after they released. Now it feels so crappy at least to me.

Partly research, partly just being way too obsessed and invested in this game for the last 8 years.

It always take long to upload the videos, but the time I wait is always worth it

I loved the trio (except after ebarbs were added). I remember using them in my deck for such a long time to deal with swarms, and they felt so iconic, looking back they probably are better off now, but I still miss the trio...

Back when fire spirits was 2 elixir for 3 fire spirits, it was very good. Could take care of minion horde

the last balance change was also because it did more crown tower damage than a fireball, so after that change it did the same amount of damage

Things like this are why I feel like the troop and the summoner cards should be able to have different stats.

When I was abusing the fire spirit in my Golem 3-musk deck, I always used them differently from everyone else. They were a cheap defensive out to E barbs pushes, as they took massive damage, so I could charge a golem push up and only take half health on my tower, but by using E-barbs or even better IceG + E barbs, they wouldn't have elixir to defend

I played clash royale in 2016 and 2017, stopped and then came back only this year, so seeing the ice spirit in such a weak position here 25:47 is so insanely weird to me, i was flabbergasted 💀
