I mean according to the info that the light novels gives, without knowing too much of each other, pdl with his true body, which is lvl 100, fought against ainz, he would win, but becouse he kinda lost this information battle, ainz has better chances to defeat him now

1. Albedo was informal and had to excuse her behavior 2. Ainz' red eyes were missing in some key scenes which only happens when he is either lamenting or when its PA. I didnt even notice the red orb world item wasn't there.

I keep hoping we'll get to see him let loose at some point. I think he needs more real experience, but with that he might even become the most dangerous single being in Nazarick since he has a huge library of max level character builds. Especially if he can swap as fast as we saw him revert in this episode, it would be the end of the Shaltear v Ainz fight turned up to eleven.

Fact is, Pandora has legit access to activate the whole Golem inside the Treasury, and those Golems were fully equipped with each Supreme Being that given their stuff to Nazarick/Momonga. And Dont forget, his Authorities including the access to 11 of Twenties, in conclusion Guild Treasury is the last destination for the raiders, Indeed the maximum security is given to Pandora's Actor

Fun Fact : The Dragons didn't intend to summon players instead they wanted to summon a power on par with wild magic which was World Items and guess what, that desire for more made them indirectly have to confront players who have world items, also take note its not that the players are summoned on random to another world but its more likely that players who are in constant contact with world items and the structures or environment around the players that are holding world items are most likely to get summoned its just that the players seem to be a connecting point for the summoning spell casted by the Dragon Emperors wild magic and its a recurring spell that refreshes every 200 years to summon new players. . . . . . i may be wrong about some facts here but some of the info i mentioned here are my own hypothesis and theories that i came up with that seemed to match the lore bcs only Maryama knows whats the truth....btw i have watched overlord over 6 times now and read the novel twice XD just wanted to get my own theories out somehow lol.

When "Ainz" started groveling at PDL's feet and scream really loudly it felt as if Satoshi Hino was trying to make a Mamoru Miyano impression and I thought it was hilarious

I saw someone on reddit say that since power from levels in Overlord increase exponentially and that there's a far bigger gap between a level 90 and a level 100 compared to a level 70 to a level 80, Pandora's Actor having 80% of Ainz' strength means he's probably like Ainz at level 95. PA was most likely holding back A LOT.

That logic is similar in Diablo 2. When you hit the 90+ levels, every single level is so hard to get that there is a huge gap between a level 92 vs 95, and in ladde seasons, it is rare to see 100 (back in my D2 days 99+ is the highest)

Here’s the thing tho, grasp heart can maybe insta kill real PDL and even if it doesn’t, Ainz only have to cast black hole since he’d be stunned and insta kill him, also Ainz can stopped time He did it first with the workers that invaded nazarick and later with gazef He also posses the most powerful world item ever created in Yggdrasil that lets you rebuild the world as you see fit (kinda like civilization)

@@chechenko_9430 Grasp heart only kills "weak" targets. It's a tier 9 spell and it insta kills under level 60 I think. PDL is above level 90 because even his remote Armour is close to that so no that would not instakill. Ainz could one shot him if he uses "TGOALID" but that's basically it.

My theory is that the Dragon Lords summoned the World Items, out of greed and this brought along the players who equipped the items or in Nazarick's case the entire guild, the fact that not everyone arrived at the same time is that the magic may still be active . The fact that some arrive earlier or later may be due to the amount of world items gathered in the same place. PDL believes that Albedo is the Player, only because he has a hard time believing that a certain group can have several of these items.

Not the Dragon Lords, but the Dragon Emperor Edit: similar to what you said, Dragon Emperor was know for his thirst for power, to the point the other dragons hate him for his greed and selfishness, Dragon Emperor would not hesitate to sacrifice his own kin for greater strength He use his power to summon the World Items to become stronger, but accidentally bringing along the players who owned them In case of Nazarick, the entire guild, not because the World Items in the treasury, but because the Throne (a World Item) in the Throne Room is connected to the entire guild itself

The Platinum Dragon Lord does have rivals to the strongest New World creature, such as the female that dwells in the Sea City and maybe the Deep Darkness Dragon Lord who was able to kill a player and take their World Item, which was one of the Twenty.

The problem is Platinum Dragon Lord is level 70... most of the Floor Guardians would wipe the floor with him, let alone Ainz.

Here's an argument for that, PDL's armour was estimated by PA, as Ainz, to be around level 90. PDL's main body has to be at least relative, if only his main body having better stats and unrestricted access to his Wild Magic. It is also stated by the Pontifex Maximus that PDL might use Zesshi assassinating the Elf King as a chance to kill her. From this we can infer that PDL is at least relative to Zesshi, who is level 88 with horrible class combinations. So, because of that I think that PDL is most likely level 90 to 95 at most. Still weaker than the Floor Guardians, but he would be able to give some of them a low-diff fight.

Another big giveaway that it was actually PA was the voice that was used for "Ainz" internal monologue. The real Ainz has Suzuki Satoru's voice for his internal monologue, meanwhile in that fight Ainz's physical(?) voice was the same with his internal one. When I first read that part in the LN, I was wondering what voice they will choose for that part if it ever gets adapted, will they choose PA's, Satoru's or Ainz's? Finally I got an answer to that question with this episode and I'm glad they didn't use PA's so that it won't ruin the surprise for most of the anime-onlies.

Honestly, after The Bloody Valkyrie arc, I wanted another epic battle. This one fit the bill, but they cut the entire battle short and focused more on conversation. Well I'm a little disappointed, probably not as much as Elemental Skull kun though🤣!

The story was posted on Maruyama's Twitter account on September 26, 2015." *NON CANON* So no, with all the intel we have ainz is clearly stronger than pdl, he even stated it himself, if pandora is "stronger" than him then it means that ainz is way more powerful than him because in overlord the power is exponential it means that for example a difference between level 10-20 isn't that "much" but a difference between level 90-100 is enormous idk if you play games but look at it like lost ark or diablo type. Imagine now the difference in power in the spells and itself between pandoras in Ainz at 80% and Ainz. So if we add all of this pdl would get destroy in a 1v1(and it's not even counting all the world item ainz has). You are right for the 2 first tho.

Don't know if somebody already mentioned this but, if you missed how Ainz's red orb was missing, you can also tell that it wasn't Ainz early on because Albedo talked so casually with him and not once did she use honorifics before she realized it, herself.

I would say while ainz fooled pdl into how strong he was it can also be inferred that ainz doesn't know the true strength of pdl as pdl while talking to azurh mentions how if he was there in his actual body things could be different. So there is an obvious strength difference between using the armor and being there in person

Also Wild Magic, Ainz has no clue about it, it's also another reason that irks me that Maruyama skipped the Draconic Kingdom, like, Ainz could have learned about that from Draudillon, even if that issue was resolved in the background, why would Ainz not get knowledge and lore from the Queen? Achtually- They know that the armor is being controlled remotely, in fact, Demiurge has deducted that it's either one of the thirteen heroes or Platinum Dragon Lord himself. So they probably know that the armor would be vastly different in power compared to the real deal.

I think i remember reading about a dark dragon lord living somewhere in the great forest of tobb, i think he may be stronger than pdl as he holds a world item or two and I believe he killed a player for it/them.

That's the Deep Darkness Dragon Lord (DDDL), and it was never confirmed (and is most likely false) that he's in the Great Forest of Tob. That was just a theory as the only thing confirmed was that he lived in a subterranean cave underground, and the Forest of Tob has underground caverns, which Aura didn't check as of Volume 8. However, by now, they should have been checked already so DDDL is probably somewhere else. As well, he owns one of the Twenty from a player he killed. It's theorized for him to be stronger than PDL because while PDL is a "counter" against undead, DDDL is a "counter" against all the Floor Guardians (able to win 1v1) except Shalltear and Gargantua, meaning he is probably at a disadvantage against non-living entities.

All minor details you probably get here and there. They are probably true since they are things claimed by randos on the internet and if it were false multiple people wouldn't come up with the exact same information. Still just a theory. The world is probably full of potential hiding spots for dragons. They are good guesses though seeing as he's the dragon of absolute darkness and dragons generally like to hang around places that contain their element or are close to their element. It's not really treasure troves they hang around, but nests they turn into treasure troves that are in places they like. Deep Darkness almost seems like it foreshadows Chuthulu as he is the eldritch god of the deep. While he is usually referenced in regard to water, he also causes chaos and insanity wherever he is. We've had HP Lovecraft referenced already in the last season so I wouldn't be surprised if that was somehow part of his inspiration. Which undead are usually outright immune to mental attacks. That could be potentially why he is strong vs living enemies.

PDL's remote controlled armor is actually pretty cool.

After seeing the ainz seen again where PA is fighting, when he does greater teleportation he throws his cape up. That's such a PA thing lol

I loved PDL’s comment on world items, not knowing that ainz has plenty of them.

I love the episode, Ains really did do what hes best at PVP he was prepared to fight a theoretical enemy. Just like him vs shalltear, he gave false info to the enemy to gain an advantage. While Ains isn't the best pvp class, he replaces that with knowledge and mechanics of the character he is playing.

well, min max builds isn't always everything in pvps. Versatility plays a very huge part wheni it comes to pvp.. if i were to choose which build i prefer between Ainz and Ulbert or Tabula smaragdina.. no doubt i will still choose ainz

To be fair you gotta give credit to pandora's actor ainz created him and ainz knew what he is capable. And it is indicated that some of the personalities of the creators of the npc is in their creation thats why pandora's actor is kinda like an almost perfect copy of ainz

I still think that ainz has the upper hand, he knows that there's someone outside the armor and that that person has powers, meanwhile PDL thinks that he fought the real Ainz and thought he was fighting at his fullest. He doesn't know that he didn't fight the real ainz.

The thing people tend to forget is PA is capable of making a mimicking and using every piece of equipment from the "Supreme Beings of Nazarick" and every floor guardian. Remember Ainz v Shalltear? Shalltear is a powerhouse built to solo protect the first 3 floors of Nazarick alone. Ainz's build is an RP build. Skillful use of abilities and equipment allowed him to take down the highest combat rating floor guardian alone. Pandora's actor, is *smarter than Ainz*. He is roughly as intelligent as Demiurge, Albedo, and Renner. He is not only capable of mimicking every floor and area guardian, but every Supreme Being. Even if PDL is an ancient dragon that can use wild magic, and even if PA can only draw out 80% of a character's power, the only hindrance he has between him losing and trouncing PDL is the amount of info he can gather on PDL's battle style and build. He is a being made to not only mimick what he has seen but improvise what some of the top PVPers have done to come out on top. Also, don't forget he is the only character to question the words of Ainz, whom he not only sees as a Supreme Being, but as his father. Fully serious, fully prepared, I'm not sure if he'd even lose against Ainz.

Honestly, my one wish before this series ends is that we see Rubedo and the Dragon Emperor, as well as a possible fight between them ( what with the former being stronger then all the Guardians combined and the latter being somehow over LvL 100)

does no one remember PDL vs Shalltear? lets not forget the fact that PDL still has damage on his right shoulder 0:00 from when he tired to fight Shalltear. But all she did was auto retaliate from her mind control and slapped him once, which was enough to puncture his armor and make him retreat. and the fact she did that with out a world class item shows how strong she is compared to his armor suit and albedos word class weapon which didn't leave a mark after she hit him. just sayn' Aizns did beat shalltear >.>

Pandoras actor recognized almost instantly it was an empty suit of armor being controlled. Pandora was definitely holding back. The purpose of the mission was for information, not annihilation. Albedo states "I'll just let him happily talk away". PDL was going for the kill and didn't damage pandoras actor. This episode showed how much the guardians are learning and mastering the art of manipulation.

Another clue that something was different with Ainz this episode was that the internal monologue this episode was the same as Ainz regular talking voice, rather than the human voice we normally get for internal thoughts.

I would say the orb not being on "Ainz" isn't really a give away that it's PA because in season 2 PA as Ainz had that orb on him. However how Albedo talked to "Ainz", Ainz's inner thoughts voice, and that fact he never had his emotions in check were the give away that it was PA.

The village they were making actually revolved around the fake Nazarick that was used many times throughout the first 3 seasons. Also the 8 fingers considered not making Cocco Doll go through the baptism by simply demoting him from his standing as a leader... But they feared their fate should Nazarick consider this a betrayal of their faith, which was why Hilma was so dejected in the anime

I don’t think this fight reached a level 100 level fight or even came close. Reaching level 100 is really only the beginning in Yggdrasil and afterwards you can still get much stronger. Pandora’s actor has by far the weakest combat power of any guardian simply because he makes it up in versatility. Unfortunately that means that the fight between him and PDL is on a much smaller scale.

It wasn't supposed to reach that level, PDL was not using his real body and Pandora's actor was not fighting to win, he used every kind of elemental attack to see what he is weak against, and in the end found out that he is weak to acid magic as that type of spell dealt the most dmg while dark type spell dealt the least. (Now that sounds a lot like a pokemon thing but that was the point) While Tsa hoped he could kill ainz with the armor, it was mostly a test as he probably already knew that it would've been hard to kill a level 100 character with just an empty armor that mimics level 90.

Possible Spoiler in the question: What I dont remember clearly is how Renner opens the box. She prepared for the opening, but what does that mean? One theory I have is that it is related to those kids in the orphanage. She uses them as sacrifices to open the box. The box is an item required for a race change. So she can become a heteromorph or monster race. It gains her a level on imp. People think she had to do three things to open that box related to future, past and present. She killed her father and people suspect she killed the children. So she had to basically kill her past, present and future as a human. We know she created the orphanages after she got the box.

She sacrificed the kids using poison on the last visit to kill them... U have to kill a number of people so that your karma level is negative to qualify... As for what demon she became was an imp the lowes level of demon race. Not a mini-succubus

Is it? In the first place you supposedly meant 6th floor. I mean the village and the forest checks out but still what about the monsters and the undead? There is no way anyone would attack someone seeking shelter from Ainz, and they cannot escape from 6th floor either. So why station his troops there? More likely it was the log cabin, so to say The Fortress of Ruins. I doubt it's just a small building at this point.

I remember that the true dragon lords didn't go to war(implying equal standing) but were being hunted by the eight greed kings for fun, and their demise is due to them being well greedy. Ainz as a player is really crazy he better lose a couple times just for that one moment this is shown in the extra/spin off chapter where Ainz was the only one being transported and going places with evileye,he fought another true dragon lord where Ainz keep stalling and "losing" until he killed him

So the theory I currently have is that the Dragon lords went after the EGKs because the EGKs used a world item to change the system of the New World to Tier Magic which screwed with their wild magic and so they wanted to get rid of the players. But that's just a theory. And yes Ainz (or Suzuki Satoru as he's called in the Bonus Volume) fought against Deep Darkness Dragon Lord.

I didn’t even notice the red orb missing till it was pointed out. I thought something was off about his appearance the entire time and I guess that’s it. I also didn’t even know it was a world item, I don’t know if that was already explained in the anime but now I’m curious what it does.

It only says this: The World Item Ainz possesses is very versatile, having many different powers to choose from and use. For example, one of these powers is very effective against Dragons.

My only problem so far in the anime and series is that in IRL MMO games, bosses are usually way stronger than single players. They require entire guilds to take them down, so where in this anime/series are these bosses???

I thought the whole point is that Ainz and the gang are essentially player controlled bosses. Also Ygdrassil seems more like a Albion Online kind of MMO

The overall power level in the New World is much lower than in Ygdrassil. In Ygdrassil there were bosses that took dozens of lvl 100 players and their lvl 100 NPC minions to beat. In the New World every single Nazarick member is such boss to he residents.

for me. i cant wait for next week xD i want it now! xD anyways. it was fun to see how pa vs pdl playd out. as you sayd pa has around 80% of ainz strenght. but as you also say his strenght was even more limited. so pdl thinks ainz is even weaker. god i hope that will bite im in his lazy dragon arse soon :)

Great review, and yeah it was kind of a shame that Elemental Skull showed up just to show up because it actually puts in a lot of work in the fight. Which the fight itself kept going even after that monologue from PDL. I know the anime has a budget and that they can’t adapt everything, but PDL’s rage at “Ainz” countering that final blow with his summon as a distraction was hilarious.

Can't wait for more of this season.

What tipped me off was the fact that aniz's inner monologue was in his voice not satoru

One giveaway that it wasn't Ainz himself in the battle was that "he" was only wearing eight rings. Pandora's Actor base form has three fingers and a thumb on each hand so he can only equip eight rings in total whereas Ainz always equips ten rings, assuming he's not wearing the Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown outside Nazarick. The animators did this right in all scenes where I've been able to see.

I knew something was weird when Einz bowed. I was like He would never bow if only because he would want to his subordinates to see him like that. I also thought he was overall acting weird but I didn't figure it out before the reveal. Maybe because I was also making and eating subs during the episode.

So, I have a different theory for the time stop spell. It's possible that PDL is immune to it. I think that the time stop spell works a bit differently. In MMOs a time stop spell has a range in which all creatures are immobilized and their cooldowns and regenerations also stop while the spell is active. Since PDL is remote, time stop wouldn't work since he's outside of the range of the spell. Another theory i personally have is that the elemental hits didn't deal damage because there's nothing to really damage in the armor. There's many summons in different games that are invulnerable but have a limited time to be used. In this manner, I think PDL is in the same boat. The armor was constantly being drained of "HP" and when it used an ability it dropped by a decent percentage. That armor. In my theory, is near invulnerable and PDL himself is its weakness in addition to its limitation from an "HP pool". Not to say that PDL is weak, but that the armor doesn't really have a weakness to be exploited outside of beating it (which ainz can't do very well) and what we already gathered

I felt bad for the Elemental Skull, it took a big role in the fight in the LN and I personally liked it. When I read this part in the LN I was so confused reading the inner dialog of “Ainz”, I thought “wow he is smarter than I thought” until the reveal xD

PDL might have wild magic, but Albedo has DD's. The outcome is a forgone conclusion.
