Seeing all these “the voices were good” videos is driving me crazy am i the only one that really could tell the whole time that the voices were off ? Makes me feel like people are tone deaf or something lol morty wasn’t nearly as bad but holy fuck Ian cardoni’s Rick is just so off to me Harry’s morty is slightly different but not as different as Ian’s rick it’s night and day to me and it’s driving me crazy that no one has pointed it out 🤣 mr poopy butthole was also very different i don’t see the voices being as good as when Roiland was doing them they were truly his characters

I think it depends on your expectations? It's new voice actors so the voices will never be 100% the same but I get your sentiment. Morty sounded perfectly fine to me. Rick's new voice seems to miss some 'zing' to it. He sounds too fresh, too clean. Not experienced enough for the age RIck is supposed to be... but maybe the new voice actor just needs some time to grow into it, who knows. I think they did well given the circumstances. I expected it to be a lot worse so the new voices I can live with, but the writing needs to up the ante. S07E01 is maybe my least favorite episode of all seasons. What a bad choice to open a season with. The second ep was decent but had a lot more potential imo. It all felt a bit pointless, lackluster, missing depth... You could skip these first two episodes and not miss anything noteworthy.

I usually rewatch episodes of Rick and Morty about 10-15 times because I'm a big fan of the show. However, when it came to the first episode of season 7, I could only bring myself to watch it once. I initially tried to give it another chance but ended up stopping halfway through and deleting the episode. It wasn't the voice acting that bothered me; that was acceptable. What really disappointed me was the quality of the writing, which felt sloppy and lacking purpose. The "butthole" episode would have been better suited for later in the season, perhaps as episode 3 or 5. Using it as the season opener for Rick and Morty felt like a letdown, and we deserve a more engaging start to the season.

And in my life only Harry Potter I watched it twice it’s not my thing to watch something twice because I believe it’s a waste of time, however I couldn’t help but to watch the show multiple times, I watched season 7 the simple way to describe it (it’s a$$) I searched for this video to see if Im the only person.

After season 3,my excitement for next seasons have continuously declined

Personally I think season 1 and 2 were the best overall written season 3 onward I think was interesting with some of the best episodes what are overall not as good, I'm kind of interested to see where they're going to go with this season

@@BeeruzChrysler my problem with the "canon" is they want to have it both ways of the story doesn't matter and is done sparingly to make plots happen, and that evil Morty and the other characters stories matter, while ignoring them for entire seasons, and have the characters both reset to status quo and change simultaneously, like Rick does care about his family, until he doesn't like the ending of season 2 and the beginning of season 3, or after the crows, or after space beth, or after last season when he put a hold on his revenge to then say he was a robot all season and the premier doesn't matter, Morty is becoming more jated to the world, until he is season 1 Morty, Jerry is becoming less pathetic and will stand up to Rick, and then he is resets to season 3 when he is just a man baby. The show has a hard time committing to the story, and makes it worse on both ends, if it's supposed to matter why do the episodic adventures waste time, if they don't then why put so much weight into it like evil Morty being important

You can't say that the voices don't change the way the show works, IT DOES and Rick's burps will always be the best thing in the show that can only be done by Justin and "WABA-DABA DUB-DUB!"

Rick sounds like he has a permanent cold. Morty sounds too high pitched. The show is dead, bury it and put a 6 season dvd box set together call it a day

Two things I don't like is they said they couldn't find anyone better than what we got, like i feel bad fkr Sean Kelly he's getting all the love from fans for his near perfect impression. The second thing is this episode was quite wholesome but I've noticed is the humour, writing and overall characters have dipped since Justin left around season 3. But i get told "you should be happy" but like i miss the feel of seasons 1-2

Ngl I missed their old vibe & voices season 7 seem so inauthentic

Besides the most resent episode 7x04. Morty is not in this season, he's become like a background character like his family.

It’s basically always been the Rick show but it’s never in such an obvious ways as it is now and I feel like they only brought back evil Morty and had a whole episode without Rick to compensate for that.

The main issue I have is that morty has barely been in the first 3 episodes. Like where my boy at, like the entire family barely appears 😭😭 Also, normally rick and morty has a B plot in some episodes too, focussing on a different family character, this season is somehow missing that aspect of rick and morty completely.

If adultswim doesnt get their sh together this is gonna be the downfall and possibly the discontinuance of Rick and morty.

Don't care about the voices, they've been in my head for a long time but what I do (belch) care about is the script. It has a very "we're lazy untalented shit writers so let's use AI to (belch) help us spit out a generic piece of CRAP."

I have a hard time believing Justin Roiland was barely a part of the show when he was kicked off, considering how this season is turning out. Granted I’ve only watched the first 4 episodes so possibly it gets better, but the writing is so off!! No b plots whatsoever and 90% of the jokes don’t hit at all and in general it’s just way less creative. And for the voices - honestly to me it feels like Morty’s is way more off than Rick’s but that may also be because their characters are way off too! Feels like all of their motivations are different from what they used to be and make choices that are only slightly believable now. I’m beyond sad about the turn of events of this show especially since it was so unique and interesting and hilarious pretty much up until this season imo. Am I wrong?

the first episode was very underwhelming. felt like the worst episode to me. the voices and emotion behind them felt very different-- as in, pretty flat-- but maybe that's just because i've watched the show a lot. i think they could do story or other stuff, i don't care which (except that they've hyped up the "hunt" already), it just has to be spectacular. this episode wasn't it. hope it gets better, but i will come back after the season is done airing to find out.

Nah nothing is more worse than the incest baby episode Season 5 is still the worst season till this day Only the first episode and the last 3 of 5 was good Season 6 was amazing it felt like the first 3 seasons of Rick and Morty Season 4 was okay but still can rewatch it tho have a few laughs here and there

I knew this would happen whenever a character is either recast or written out of the show and it's the most sacrilege thing a show creator can do despite the dubious morality issues; anyway, Rick and Morty is already in a lose-lose situation...

No this shit is ass now. Loved Rick and Morty but it’s very clear they don’t care about what made the show amazing. Honestly, the voices are the least of my worries. They want the show to go down the route of SpongeBob or Simpsons. There are 2-3 cool episodes this season. The world just feels so much smaller imo and the episode with Rick fighting Rick prime felt so rushed. I’m just extremely disappointed especially after the letters and numbers episode because it’s a lot of copy and paste stuff imo.

i'm just back from episode 8 and i can tell that show is just being made for the sake of pumping out shitty episodes a literal callback to ice T episode? ok rick killed rick prime and wow every single episode so far sucks complete ass way to destroy the show instead of letting it end on a season 6 cliffhanger they decided to butcher everything the show had and turn it into a literal crap fan made parody

Man this sucks. The first episode of S7 are kind of acceptable from the voices but with S7E4 it hit rock buttom. It sounds so off that I can't listen to it anymore. Don't know if I really will keep watching it. I probably seen Season 1-3 more than 30 times with S4 slight changes in morty's voice but since S5 it didn't have the vibe of old school Rick and Morty adventures anymore. Just with it S6 kind of revived the spirit of the first seasons but S7 just doesn't work with the stories and the voices. Really sad all this...

There are a WHOLE LOT of comments that read almost exactly the same praising this HORRIBLE SEASON. Kinda reminds me of Disneys “deny that it sucks and hopefully the sheep say the same” approach. This show is over without Justin.

I think the voices sound great but for some reason I just haven't found season 7 funny. There's so many lines i can quote from previous seasons but nothing this season has stuck with me.

It’s literally the topic of the video. People mistake clickbait with what it use to be and what you need to do to get people to you know… click. The entire topic is about does the new changes ruin the enjoyment of the show. We spend a few minutes talking about how I seriously disliked the episode. Then switch up to say hey! Any changes behind the scenes didn’t ruin it. This episode was just rather weak. Back in the day. Clickbait was “Vlog 225 - POLICE WERE CALLED - Shop lifting prank gone wrong” But if the topic is discussing the show being ruined, and I talk about it. And come to a conclusive statement that is literally like “is the show ruined? No”. I just implore people to just watch longer than the title sequence

It's sad that R&M's funny era has come to an end.

From what i understand these episodes were basically all done last year and they had to go back to redo most of them without Justin.

7 opener was horrible. I felt like someone put the parameters for the show into AI and then a computer created a weak facsimile of what a Rick And Morty episode should be. There was no hook for what the season arc is. The voice and joke timing was slightly off. I had a couple of laughs late in the episode but they were a bit weak. The MPP name reveal was lame. They cashed in on Predator street cred while cucking him into loving a whatever MPP and his wife are. This was not a sophisticated episode.

The show is She-Hulk levels of writing now…so its over for me

After season 6’s opening episodes greatness and the last episodes promising ending this season really killed the vibe. It wasn’t the VA’s I was ok with the voices the writing was terrible this seasons opening episode had to have been the worst opening episode in Rick and Morty history and the only episode that even had me interested was episode 5 although I felt like that episode would have been better as the season finale instead of a mid season episode.

5:17 Even if he was a part of the writing team (he wasn’t), it doesn't matter. The season was written before he was fired. Animation takes a long time. And Rick and Morty have generally tried to stay ahead since season 3 took years. Dan Harmon even recently said that season 8 and parts of 9 have been written.

Yea Rick and morty keeps going down hill I think this season 7 first episode was complete trash and unintresting and I hate the new voice actors

The voice change was so noticeable for me I cant watch it bothered me so much

Sorry for ranting but we can see this in season 6 as well they basicly are restarting the entire show bc they saw where the show was headed, we went from a low show to a great show in 1 season

They didn’t ruin the show directly but the voices casted are mimics and they don’t do the voices as good as some other voice impressions can do. Long story short, I believe the hiring team could have done better.

Yes. It's trash now not worth watching. I tried a few episodes. It was unwatchable. They should have just renamed the show "Jerry & Summer" or something after killing off the real Rick & Morty... The stand-ins don't cut it. I'll always enjoy re-watching all 6 real seasons of Rick & Morty.

Season 7 is a disgrace to animated shows it’s not funny not creative or even really Rick and morty truly a sad day for comedy

They have completely ruined it. It’s so dumbed down, it’s like a parody 🤦‍♂️

Dude lost his job, his career and his reputation for something they couldn't even prove he did. Talk about the patriarchy, huh?

Nah, seasons 5 and 6 were about to but this one is funny 😂

It's been bad since season 3

I’m sorry but to me this show is dead and not worth watching anymore. Watching the first episode without Roiland it just feels soulless. Like what made it special is missing and you can’t help but notice. Roiland technically created it with Doc and Mharti and gave the show its personality and flair. Rick was like.. nice and not bitter and cynical in this episode. Morty doesn’t even awkwardly sputter out lines and trip over words. It’s like the energy is completely gone.

Justin contributed nothing but the voices for quite some time already. I'm not sure what you think is making it "souless." That simply sounds dramatic. Doc and Mharti is far more gruesome than Rick and Morty ever was. That's an inaccurate statement. How many lines did Morty have in the episode? In full honesty, no one who doesn't have a disposition towards pre-concieved notions but does have a plethora of brain cells to reason with would have to admit there was next to nothing to go off of there... Especially nothing that justifies such a drastic analysis as you attempted to provide. Of course, Rick was nice. Same way he was when trying to get Birdperson back. These are his friends, as he clearly told Mr. PB in the episode. Are you anti-friendahip or something? I think the one who's missing energy is you. 7 seasons and a decade later, life has you jaded to the point you'll turn on the things you love just to shake your life up a little bit. Don't get that bored. It's unhealthy for the mind. Of course, this last segment is purely speculation, and I'm in no way saying it with absolution. I hope you found my reasonable and cordial rebuttals to each of your gripes to be enlightening. If you truly decide to walk away from R&M, I suppose I won't see you in the comments of any future R&M content, so I'll have to say goodbye now while the opportunity still presents itself.

@@ivankawnartist I mean there’s no coincidence that Seasons 7 Episode 1 is one of the worst rated already in the shows history. Even without writing Justin contributed far more than people care to admit. Technically Roiland has more writing credits in R&M than Dan Harmon does and people still believe Dan is the true mastermind and soul of the show. Just because your name isn’t penned on writing an episode doesn’t mean you had 0 creative control on it at all. And to me the show has already been going downhill since season 4. Coincidentally the one that Justin stopped being involved in the writing

I was just watching some new s7 episodes. I got 1 minute and 15 seconds in and hated Morty's new voice. I then turned it off. S7 is so boring. Either get Justin back and make him write again and do the voices. Or it's over. Such a brilliant show is being trashed. We're being robbed of a masterpiece

I have heard people say certain seasons were bad. I loved every season, until now. This seasons writing is horrible. I think there was maybe one good episode.

I quit Rick and Morty after the overuse of the giant Incest baby.

It feels like tehy are ruining it on purpose. I think the voices are still great, but epiodes are so boring. I struggle to watch them until the end of episode.

Without Justin those characters aren't the same. And yes they do sound different. Even Ricks behavior changes. Since when da f did Rick care about anybody's opinion. Justin Roliands Rick would have merched Hugh Jackman. It all seems off to me. Bird persons voice isn't the same. There were so many characters and call back as if to say we're still the same Rick and Morty. To add to that since when the f did they care about being canonical. Sure the writers did it for the fans sake. However you can always see a discord between Rick and what the fans want. This is not the same Rick and Morty. Although entertaining I had to tell myself throughout the episode just take it as it is don't judge and don't spoil the moment. Just enjoy it for what it is. That's how I found myself to enjoy the episode the best. Laughing at the humor the show has already established. However knowing it's not the same. I mean in this episode Rick admitted that he killed his arch rival. So we don't get to see that? Is that the shoes way of saying hey we're done with this chapter and chew on this. What I'm force feeding you. It was very lacking and shaping up to what season 4 was like. Funny but forgettable

The majority of this season was already recorded with Roiland, so the new VAs had to dub over it. Any problem you have with the writing would have still been present, whether with or without Roiland.

This season was not that great.... Voices are OK. But honestly it just feels like each season has been steadily getting worse. Interdimensional Cable was cool because it was creative and different but now it's like the simpsons tree house of horror... predictable...............

Fuck no, season 6 was good, season 5 was ass and the other seasons were perfect, season 7 is by far worse than season 5

I find the new season very good, it felt like rick and morty to me 🤷, i dont notice the difference
