I considered myself lucky to have heard his daily lunchtime radio broadcast as a member of my Dad's work crew when I was a kid/teenager. Everyone was quietly attentive while Paul was talking. "Good day" was our cue to stow our lunchboxes and strap on our tool belts. I didn't realize just how special that world was at the time, but now I'm aware, and grateful for having experienced it. Comparative to today the 70's and 80's were down right magical, at least from the perspective of my rural Midwestern upbringing. We didn't know how good we had it until after we'd been lured away from the simple things that gave life meaning. Convenience is the bane of human existence.

What an honor. His style was all his own and the world is a darker place without him. We are blessed to have lived during those turbulent times with someone who could give just the right perspective to any news story and leave you with food for thought. A rare gift these days. He is missed.

Paul Harvey's broadcasts were so prophetic when we listen to them today! He definitely was a forward thinker and had God in his life and his messages! The world lost a great, but humble man! “The greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing the world that he did not exist.” And Paul was so correct - we now have people with no emotional discipline running wild. The Devil isn't real lol. You could argue the top 1% are the Devil but last time I checked, theres only one Devil lol, not thousands. If people wish to believe in fairy-tales such as God and religion, where they believe God is in everyone, logic dictates the Devil is in everyone to, and that would also insinuate the Devil was made by God as the Devil was part of him originally to lol. Alas religions a big bottomless hole of bs.

I'm 76 years old and I remember my dad listening to Paul Harvey during his lunch break as a carpenter. Paul was a true American treasure. My dad, myself and generations after could see these changes happening. For example when I was in high school we had dress codes, our hair could not be longer than our shirt collars, our shirt tails had to be tucked in, no jeans and the girls had to wear dresses which could not be above the knee. Girls were not allowed to wear pants or shorts. By 1974, ten years after I graduated, all dress codes were gone and discipline in the schools had all but vanished. By then you were considered "square" if you didn't smoke pot. 10 years earlier you were considered square if you didn't smoke cigarettes.

There was no dress code, just what fashion dictated (I lived on the CA coast with a lot of surfers, so you can imagine what was fashionable😄 - There was a smoking lot in back of school where student and teachers alike took their cigarette break. Pot was everywhere and used for bartering. One joint was the equivalent of 25 cents. The pot was pretty tame stuff compared to today's.

Thank you for reacting to this material. It helped me understand what the youth understands and doesn’t. “Thee” means “you.” “Square” means “lame” or “goody two-shoes.” The reference to eggs and Easter is the Easter Bunny and egg hunts for children instead of recognizing that day as Resurrection Day. The bottle in reference to Christmas is drunkenness. People viewing Christmas as a time to party and drink instead of celebrating the birth of Christ. Paul Harvey was not psychic or a time traveler. His words are not only applicable today, but they were most appropriate for 1965. The 60s were corrupt. It was a time of social upheaval - Vietnam, Feminism (abortion), Assassinations (JFK in 63 and MLK in 68), Communism and Communalism (Jonestown and the Manson Family), sexual immorality and liberation (The “swinging 60s”), sensationalizing murder in media (the rise of the serial killer, which later led to 200 active serial killers in the U.S.), drug addiction (psychedelics and hallucinogens), and this list can go on for paragraphs. The reason his speech is chillingly accurate is because the leaders of this country today are the youth of the 1960s. They are masters of chaos - they know how to fundamentally transform a nation. They’ve been chipping away at us for decades. They successfully destroyed the black family. They’re working on the white family now. Next, Latin. Is it the devil? Absolutely. These people are evil. They want to destroy you, your family, your culture, your country.

What he speaks of is the fruit of the plants who's seeds were being planted during those times. He saw what was inevitable and was brave enough to expose it. He caused my parents and their peers to stop and look around them. My parents were God fearing and taught me to be as well. My father spoke to me of his fears for our future. Now, today, I look around me and I'm scared for my grandchildren and their souls. My father could never have imagined the chaos. I wish I didn't happen. Yet, it's inevitable. In reality it isn't a fallacy but in academic circles it is today due to the copernian philosophy (that paul dealt within the bible) has invaded the Christian culture heavy today. Philosophy and psychology professors have twisted the learning field of logic. In the way rhetoric has two standards (one for absolute and another for generalities) one induction and the other deduction. They are both of different standards. The rules of fallacy for one isn't necessarily the same for the other but they apply it anyway.. because copernians believed (there are no absolutes and that happiness was the root of their purpose for living and their highest priority) So they blur the lines when teaching and do not respect the standard of absolutism in logic. We can all acknowledge we in sin are not capable of being absolute In ourselves but is arrogant for us to think it doesn't exist at all because we aren't the ones in that state. But they teach in a way that disregard the logic standards that are for absolutes. When studying through the field of logic one can the true state of man and the divide that cannot be crossed by man. Nothing except God himself can help its that big. Sry for the long winded explanation believe me I left so much out hahaha.. anyways (the wisdom of man) is easier to see in this field. As a result when logic and reason is corrupted.. good science gets corrupted too because it relies on the element for proper logic and reason in thesis and conclusion. Creating an effect of Simpsons paradox that exists in math and had been noted. When you see such a paradox. It means the premise or question asked has conflated two very similar things in perception. But rather admit guilt of making mistakes lol its considered a paradox. Okay imma stahp.

Van, I think it is great that a thinking man like yourself has discovered the wisdom of Paul Harvey. I think it is a shame that he was gone too early for you to enjoy his daily broadcasts. By "thee" he means you and me.

The reason he was so accurate and seems like he could see the future is because all the things he mentioned were already starting to happen then. He was witnessing the very beginning of what we are dealing with today. He could see the future in a way because he was noticing these things back then and knew they would get worse. Also the bible gives us a pretty good description of how things will be near the end and Paul Harvey was a bible man no doubt.

July4th 1990 I was driving home with my son less than a year old. Paul Harvey came on radio talking about our troops, veterans,USA, MAN and more. My story is this “ I was listening to his beautiful voice and had to pull over with such pride in my heart ❤️ to be living in the greatest country in the world 🌎! I was crying so hard I couldn’t drive safely with my son in car! This was the moment I discovered how blessed we are to be living in America! Just saying to all please let’s unite and love one another. Help others open there eyes before we become a nation of puppets. I’m embarrassed to say I was 30 yrs old before I opened my eyes to even care about who our President was or what our country was doing. Now “Eyes Wide Open!! I care for everyone but I want everyone that lives in America to love America 🇺🇸 as I do.. good vibes people love one another. Let’s take this lesson today and apply to good not evil.

Scarlett Johnson~ You’re so right about you being 30 before you cared about who the president was. Same here. It’s no wonder the left wants 16 year olds to be able to vote.🙄

@@Shelinka133 thank you for admitting also.. yes they are doing much better job by grabbing kids at young ages. We should learn a lesson from the left and instill what the USA is about and how proud they should always be of there country. Hell I say it should be taught in school but there to busy deciding what to call a boy or girl. Damn sure can’t say your a tomboy anymore!! Geez 🙄 just thank you for not being embarrassed to say this also!!! Red is in the air… take care….

Paul was brilliant. Half the United States stopped whatever they were doing to listen to him. South Dakota farm girl can tell you I was one of them. He was wise warm and friendly. He told good happy stories too. Stories that were true and heartwarming. Sad you missed him. At the end of his broadcast, after he told you a story he would say and now for the rest of the story.... Then he would reveal who the story was about.

Your so right listen to Paul Harvey many of times when I was growing up. Leviticus 26:1 ‘You shall not make for yourselves idols, nor shall you set up for yourselves an image or a sacred pillar, nor shall you place a figured stone in your land to bow down to it; for I am the Lord your God Amen

I was a boy when Paul Harvey was on the radio everyday. My mom worked as a crossing guard for the school, and we had to go with her and wait in the car until just before school started. Well, Paul Harvey was on the car radio, and we actually looked forward to his stories every day. I still use such Paul Harvey phrases such as "The Rest of The Story" and "Stay Tuned For Page 2."

When I was in 6th grade in 1972 my teacher would have us listen to Harvey's broadcast and then discuss what we had listened to as part of social studies hour. We have gone from that to the Education department grooming kids to be drag queens. Its my belief that The Lord has removed any blessing this country once enjoyed to discipline us for our out of control sin.

"Thee" is the singular form of "you" in scripture... It's been a demonically orchestrated strategic effort via The Art of War's 4 stages of subversion: Demoralization, Destabilization, Crisis and Normalization. They are having a hard time with the normalization stage...
