Did Martha Washington Look Pretty?
This time we tackle George Washington's wife- Martha. I took some of her portraits to see how she might have looked in real life. It's cool to see how she looked young too which I did add some portraits and transformations of those too. Everything is just my artistic interpretation and opinion. I used After Effects, Cinema 4d, and Photoshop to give my view on how I think she might have looked.
Martha Washington was the wife of George Washington the first President of the United States. This made her the first First Lady. Martha Washington was born on June 2 1731, in Virginia. By the time she married George Washington, she had been widowed and had 2 surviving children. Martha inherited substantial wealth after her first husband Daniel Park Custis died, and she brought this wealth to George Washington.

I am the last female descendent of Martha Dandridge. Her personality made her beautiful her heart was similar to mine and we share the same eyes
This was lovely. I'm a descendant of Martha, by her first husband, and it was exciting to see my faint resemblance to her, and to my grandmother.

This is fascinating to me. I don't live far from Williamsburg where she was born. It isn't far from where George Washington's grandparents lived at Warner Hall Plantation in Gloucseter Co., Va.
She looked like George!

I think that over the years, he proved that he wasn’t greedy. He gave a lot to this country, and wisely refused the opportunity to become King.

Nice, but no wrinkles on even the elderly Martha? I did read somewhere that George was still holding a torch for an old love interest and he wasn't really ever in love with Martha. Ah, marriage of the wealthy in the olden days...

The Sally Fairfax thing has been overblown and romanticized. Some historians have taken a few sentences from one letter and made the assumption he loved her. Other historians, and I agree will tell you that you have to take other letters Washington wrote to her and put in all in context among other things. Marriage of the wealthy back then was like a business arrangement, wealth married wealth. They had a business like relationship but not without a deep respect and affection for one another.
All rich people are "beautiful". ,🙄
