Welcome to Mortal Faces!
I transform old historical portraits into realistic faces using my Photoshop skills and computer technology (After Effects & Cinema 4D) to give you my artistic interpretation of how I think these historic people might have looked.
I also film myself and add commentary to each of my videos so that I can tell you more about who these people were, given my own art history background.
Together with 1) Transforming painted portraits to real life and 2) Talking about what life was like for them, my goal is to make it easier for you to understand history.
All of my videos are created by me using After Effects & Cinema 4D and heavy heavy photoshop. I overlay images, render backgrounds, paint, and voice over to create new stories and perspectives.
All of my videos are created with the purpose of shining a new perspective on life in the past.

Anne Boleyn did not have e4 still born suns, she was only married to Henry for 3 years, she had Elizabeth in Sept. 1533, had a miscarriage at the end of 1534 did not get pregnant again until August September of 1535, and only carried 4 1/2 months before she lost the baby shortly after Henry's jousting accident that nearly killed him. The stress caused her to go into premature labor and give birth to a Stillborn son on January 23, 1536 ...Catherine had 1 son who died when he was 15 months old and numerous miscarriages and at least 6 stillborns over her 23 years of marriage to Henry.
