Good reaction. Tame impala is more psychodelic melodic indie than pure rock and roll. His first two albums have more garage rock influences then Currents is more synth pop based and his lastest album has more pop disco vibes.

Band is only for live tours. However all recording/vocals/instrumentals are done by Kevin Parker alone.

I'm sorry sir but your Gen Z daughter apparently doesn't know anything about music, 'indie' and 'rock' nor about Tame Impala... It's not a band. Not even a 'rock band'. It's a musical project of Kevin Parker. He write, compose, produce, perform, sing, and record all the songs by himself alone. Only in concerts they perform as a "band" with his friends. And this track especially can be cathegorised as neo-psychedelic. Not indie or rock lol anyone who have a minimum music knowledge and some functional ears can tell this ;) Cheers xx
