So interesting that it gives you ‘ptsd’ like you said. In my mind, it represents a moment of getting stuck in a literal mental loop (on psychedelics) as reflected by the scratch stuttering, then u sorta break out of it eventually and get to enjoy the rest of your experience (as represented by the song just continuing and once you “let it happen”, everything gets nice and you get this amazing bass riff which represents the beautiful part of a trip. Could be missing the real point but that’s what I like to pull from it. Good video.

(Also, the thing that’s interesting about u getting ptsd, to outline it properly, is that when you get stuck in loops on trips, they can be very scary and anxiety inducing moments. Those stutter scratch loops also induced that feeling for u. So cool

One of the best interpretations

"Let It Happen" was the lead single from their 2015 album, Currents, one of the top albums from that year. I remember getting stuck on the stuck part when I was first getting acquainted with the song too. I had the same response -- the cd's stuck! -- but I was playing an mp3, so I quickly realized the skip was intentional. And the Daft Punk bits that follow almost seem to have been placed there as rewards for sticking it out. Great vibe song. I spent the pandemic lock down summer grooving to this one.
