Another great video. When I opened My guitar shop, I approached the UK distributor for BC Rich at the time and asked for a dealership. I wanted to stock the higher end stuff, but all they could supply was £200 warlocks. The company had tons of the cheap stuff made and hardly any of the good stuff. So when the very few better guitars sold, there was no more lined up. I had customers waiting with cash and they just couldn't supply the gear.

They won't get it right until they can make more than 35 guitars in 2 years.

Floyed 1000 has the exact same specs and parts just made in Indonesia. I have them in all my Jackson’s and they all stay in tune and never had a issue.

I feel the same way about the new ST Warlock. Finish seems a little better than this and fret work is very good and playability is awesome. The satin neck is awesome! Great video!!🤘🤘

Excellent review! I think bc rich knocked it out of the park with this guitar. And i love the old nj series all of the way to the custom shop bc riches.

I just got one of these; discovered that I miss a neck pickup and tone control. But it plays quite nice! The greater variety of tone with addition of a neck pickup and tone control is an option on some of these I think.

I had to eventually cancel my order after waiting a year. That was a year ago, nice to see someone got one eventually

great review. a definite step up is the new Legacy MK1. classic diamond inlays, top-hat knob, harpoon headstock, and your choice of Kahler or Floyd.. basically a 40 year anniversary reissue of the MK1. a sweet axe for sure.

I have the Prophecy Bird in Orange and I love it. I usually practice with it due to the body shape accomodating different playing positions so easily with the input jack where it is. It feels great! But youre right about the paint. I have the same mark on the end of the long top fin. Theres also a little blob of a run on the top point closest to the neck, on the rear of the guitar. But with the scarcity of this guitar in every color, I dont care about the paint.

I'll take a neck-through Warlock with a single humbucker (DiMarzio SD) and reversed harpoon headstock. Hardtail bridge, diamond inlays, graphtech nut, rosewood fretboard. Killer tone and awesome shredding!

Where did you find the BC Rich tophat knobs? Can't seem to find them anywhere.

Ive noticed alot of guitarists have been playing the ironbird . Ive mever owned a bc rich guitar. But ive always wanted a bc rich chuck schuldiner stealth. The ironbird looks badass. Also i agree with indonesia made. I own 2 the one i paid 560$ for and the neck kept warping and after moving around the truss rod the screw got stripped and now i gotta pay to get it fixed. My other one i paid 1700 for and so far so good. So yeah mixed bag you never know. I think south korea makes the best guitars I own 4 and they are all flawless.

Mixed bag for sure. I don't think country of origin makes much difference (Chinese guitars like Eastman are great) but most of the Indos I've owned have been very underwhelming. Worst was a totally botched LTD evertune. Unbelievably bad.

Do you find the volume pot location to be good or bad? Could be a little too close to the hand.

Looks sick, but for 1200 the inlays seem really lacking, some big Diamonds would fit alot better on a mid range Neckthru guitar like that.

The Warlock definitely needs the widow headstock back, if they brought it again, I’d absolutely by one. They are definitely making great products now with quality materials, and it looks like the company is under someone who actually cares and wants to bring the glory of this legendary band back.

I remember when those were first released they were under $1,000 bow they are more and never in stock. I want one so bad but like others have said they can't keep up with demand and that's bad for the brand. Hopefully there is a hard tail with a single hum in the prophecy line at some point.

How is the balance... does it nose drive, when standing with a strap

The only thing I'd change is I'd rather have a Kahler or Sophia trem, or just a TOM bridge. I love the Super Distortion. My favorite pickup of all time.

that paint job looks super super thin, couple that with paint always been thin on edges and its very easy for someone to sand thru it

Bc rich needs to make some Vs. no abalone. All black, widow headstock, hardtail. I personally wouldnt care about paint imperfections. Im more concerned with the frets being level and low action.

I have a bc rich extreme series iron bird. Looks and sounds great. However the ergonomics not so much. Neck dive is a huge problem. To combat this I use a very wide leather strap and a carabiner clip to my belt. Mostly resolves the problem. The other thing is, and its just a feel thing, I find the top of the body a bit close to the low E. Since i like to keep my forearm and picking hand in line while playing I find it extremely uncomfortable with the ironbird as I cant do this with this shape. My hand is almost at right angles to my forearm.

I have an Ironbird Extreme as well. Using a belt clip is a great idea. Neck dive is not nearly as bad as my SG though.

@@SergeantMahoff i just punched a hole at the appropriate position on the strap then passed the carabiner hook through the hole and attached to a loop on my trousers. Works well

Say what you will about the bronze series. For most of us, its the only B.C. Rich most of us will ever be able to afford. Great mod platforms as well.

Everything is too expensive. Whatever happened to the Bronze and Platinum series?

Does the weight feel right to you? I've one of bc riches deluxe Jr vs and it feels kinda light/cheap. Cheers

Ah man, if it had a reverse headstock it be perfect.

The Floyd is level. The base plate is what you should be looking at. Anything else, you are doing it wrong. Also the 1000 series are the exact same materials just made in Korea.

If I weren't a broke-ass college student, I'd buy it on the spot!!!

B.C. Rich have been trash ever since the Rico family gave up ownership. I've played a few of the "post-Rico Family" models and they are horrendous (I'm being nice). Sad because I WAS...WAS a HUGE BCR fan.

For a £1000 there should not be any issue in any guitar.Exept Gibson.They don't tune unless they cost £3000.

You need more Marshalls.

Hence the MKII import designation. The MKI is the straightest and pointiest of the Ironbirds

This is not worth 1200 by today standards.
