I'm still waiting for the Ironbird kahler.

As much as i love Ironbirds (solely because of Trey Azagthoth) I can't bring myself to pay the outrageous prices for a borderline beginner guitar. I ordered an Ironbird style body from Supratone on Reverb and even though it will take some work and won't say BC rich on the headstock it's enough for me to have a decent ironbird. I wish they'd just deliver on what people actually want, they should see the guitars people are paying out the ass for and then make guitars like that, it shouldn't be so hard for them to notice that. Reverb makes it easy to see price trends and there's lots in Facebook groups like you said. Thank you for speaking on this topic man, cheers

Thank you man. People would absolutely rip these guitars out of their hands if they were to see the light of day. Big Morbid Angel fan here as well. Trey with that red Ironbird has become iconic as hell for a reason.

@@dervpool yeah, it'd almost take a while before the trend of scalping and high prices went away, because you know they'd sell out instantly and they'd end up on reverb for twice as much and people would still pay it. They'd really have to pump them out to offset that and quell the demand. I'd love to have a single Humbucker Mark 1 ironbird in neon red or neon purple or even a nice aged white with a single humbucker and reverse headstock, bolt on or neck through I wouldn't even care too much. Trey is a huge influence on me and one of my guitar heroes along with Chuck from Death, I can't play near as good as them but they're still my heroes. I guarantee Trey wouldn't pay the insane prices, I'm pretty sure he buys all his guitars used and mods them himself.

Great video! My dad got me into BC Rich, as he's been a fan for so long, and has amassed a small collection of classic shapes (Bich, Ironbird, Warlocks, Gunslinger, etc.) when people were not openly searching like they are now. I've got 4 myself, all second hand, and for decent prices, but I must admit, the UK (Scotland) is pretty bad for sourcing these guitars, and when they pop up, it's either a completely amazing price or scalped up beyond belief. It's unbelievably frustrating that the current BC Rich company as a whole is completely dropping the ball, as I'd be game for spending good money on a Stealth, Ironbird or Bich (Rich B as it's known now, but fuck that!), but I cannot justify the price for a guitar I MIGHT receive at a totally random time. I don't buy this claim that the company is struggling due to COVID issues in 2023, as many other companies are building themselves back up and continuing to supply instruments. They have the potential to be releasing all sorts of shapes, models and colours, as well as having a consistent custom shop, to meet the demand of BC Rich fans (old and new), and that's why it's embarrassing that there seems to be little effort in establishing the reputation for high quality, neck through instruments. Especially in a time where most other companies are doing the standard shapes (strat, Les Paul, V, offset Jag/jazz, etc.), they could really carve a spot in the market, but they simply aren't putting the work in.

I contacted BC Rich a week ago and they said we should be seeing some of these models at the end of the month.

Bought an NJ neck-through Warlock a couple months ago, it came with EMGs and the widow headstock. Blocked the Floyd bridge with a piece of oak, because I hate floating bridges and I don’t fucking use it anyway. It’s a working guitar and a large factor of is pure novelty and image, but it does play brutal.

I viewed several BC Rich guitars on Reverb the USA made versions are pricey but the imports are still with-in the $500 range and less.

It really heavily depends on the seller and especially the exact model and shape. The warlocks and mockingbirds are generally still priced quite ok. It's the Ironbirds and Stealths that fetch insane amounts of money. The other shapes are begining to rise in price as well but not nearly as extreme.

I have been trying to get chucks stealth for a pretty long time I’ve watched bc say there dropping 3 times but could never put an order in….im pretty bummed cuz I really want a stealth

I have at least 10 Platinums and they all still work just fine and I have never had any issues with my Bendmaster but I dont brat the crap out of it either. I do upgrade the PUs but I do that on every guitar I own, not just Platinums.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around how someone sells a Warlock starter pack guitar for $500

I am here in germany for past 2 years for work, I had bought 6 months ago BC rich warlock reverse headstock 6point vintage tremolo model from 1992 (silver class axe era), swaped tremolo humbacker for SD SH8 invader, changed awful sung ju or something like that tremolo for 40mm brass tremolo, and guitar came with grover tuners, so guitar was 250euro, blackfriday deal on SH8 was 67 and bridge was 45, so I have my bc rich for 360, that is not half bad for guitar with these specs

I bought a b.c rich "revenge" warlock style guitar. back in 2009 and promptly swapped out for seymour duncans. I recently bought an exactly copy of it in case, mint condition. while I can afford much higher end guitars, its for pure nostalgia. the guitar construction is trash and I'm sure after a little while it will eventually fall apart so I keep a spare on hand.

Yeah these make amazing player grade instruments once you upgrade them a bit. I use my Ironbird for exactly that.

You have to be patient, forget about instant gratification. In five years of watching local classifieds I have found several Japanese NJ series guitars including the most expensive at $700 Cad a 1984 Stealth in almost unplayed condition.

Never paying more than $1500 unless I see a stealth with a floyd or a kahler, and the only reason thats justified is because they are super rare,even then I don't see any listings where they were ever that high. Only those schuldiner stealths are outrageously priced. I bought a 87 platinum warlock in basically mint condiiton with original case for $550, a 1990 japanese market ironbird with original leather bag and super distortion pups for $1100, an NJ assassin for $400, and a dark arts warlock for about $650 in fairly mint condition as well. I only feel like I overpaid for my 89 ST-III($1300), but thats what happens when you buy from european sellers. While probably not any of these guitars original prices, I thought they were decent prices. Anything PLATINUM should not ever be over $700. Don't care if its some sick looking ironbird, if it's the models purposely made to be affordable, with just decent pups and that bendmaster bridge and will need some afterwork done on it as a result of those things, then its not worth very much. I'm not super crazy about my platinum warlock, but it looked super good condition and came with a case. Probably won't end up adding the bridge from glen graff and just sell it one day.

Deth medal is sooo f ing annoying. The screaming and 800 bpm double bass is intolerable.

Don't buy the shitty ones. Your complaining to Rich about used market??? From America I have to look to Europe for a few bc rich models that I'm looking for.. 1000 for a 600 dollar guitar. I bought a brand new 2020 ironbird exotic extreme for less than the shitty ones on reverb/ebay...etc. can you find me a Kerry King Beast V NT ?????
