If/When you do Rechenka .. she sings this when she was 14 years old. The song is about a young girl who is to be married and goes to the river (Rechenka) .. seems in old Russia the river was the boundary between the living and the dead. She goes there to speak to her mother .. saying there are horses, and people at her house and she has no mother or father to speak for her. Seems that this is a very old song .. pagan . .. and is very tribal .. when singing the river spirits dance around her .. the judges are so mesmerized they almost fail to press the buzzers. The program is "You are super" .. is for disadvantaged children (Diana's history is quite chilling .. beaten by a drunkard mother and thrown into the street in winter at night, sent to an orphanage .. finally adopted by a woman that sens her for singing lessons as she wasn't speaking (4yrs old?) ..

@@TauriReacts Ha. YW. Take with a grain of salt .. that is just what I picked up from Russian translations .. and some of them argue about what the song means. Think about it though .. gotta be old .. pre-Christian talking about river spirits and such. Pretty interesting.

Diana is a TRUE Contralto and each song will mesmerize whoever watches because her a vocal tone is LIKE No ☝🏽 One Else. She’s simply amazing 😉. 🙋🏻‍♀️🔑🎤🎶🎵🎶❤️👍🏽

Hi Tauri. My understanding is that Diana was abused as a young child and later adopted by a woman who introduced her to music where she was able to talk and flourished. Please note of the last (bald) judge- he is Maestro Igor Krutoy who came out of retirement to write songs specifically for Dimash; he plays the piano for many of Dimash's recent performances. Igor has also taken Diana under his wing as well and set up an apartment for Diana and her mother in Moscow so he can collaborate with her as well. Highly recommend you react to 1) "Rechenka" and 2) "Human"

Yes, I just filmed a reaction to Dimash's 'Your Love', for tomorrow, and saw Igor there..... that's so incredibly sad about Diana's back story, but I'm thankful for the woman who adopted her and led her in the right direction. Thank you for all that information!

@@TauriReacts She was suffering from selective muteness when she was really young, but singing was one channel she was able to communicate through verbally. It had therapeutic value for her. And she loves singing and performing to crowds small and big.

It's in Russian, so here's the song's story ... it's from an old traditional folk tale about an orphaned girl who is supposed to marry someone she doesn't love, so she goes down to the river (the border between the living and the dead) to talk to her mother and ask for her advice. Beautiful and sad and haunting! She was actually born May 31st 2003 so she is still young. Very unique rare and awesome. She is definitely a contralto and can drop that larynx very low. She can sing in multiple languages English French Russian and possibly even Spanish. She has such a Native American Amazonian maybe even Nordic quality to her I absolutely love it she deserves to make it big. It seems that I am late to this party. You are right that Cher does something very similar, but without the control Diana has even during live performances. In terms of technique what she does is not exactly simple (like using the whistle register that I mentioned in relation to Fabienne Erni in another post) because it takes a lot of control over one´s own production of voice. To get that tone (dark, resonant and deep) she has to manipulate with her larynx somewhat (pull it down) - you do the same in the case you want to speak in a deep voice, but it is done subconsciously - and then she uses the technique which is also used by classical singers to get a particular vocal colour and resonance. She rises her soft palate, which is what happens when you yawn. @Immortall1408 Listening to Diana, I always remember Tanita Tikaram (if we talk about timbre and depth of voice) and, of course, Alexandra (Doris Nefedov). And Diana's singing style reminds me of Jasmine Rodgers (especially her!), Fiona Apple and Bjork. But not Cher.

@ Immortall1408 I have listened and admired her for over twenty years. And "Bôa" is perhaps the most underrated group of the late nineties - early zero.

Interesting name.... Tauri..... that's the name given to the people of Earth in the Stargate Universe. Hi! To make matters more interesting, many people compare Dimash and Diana, saying that is Dimash is the Universe, then Diana must be the Earth Mother..... There must be something about all of this that makes some kind of sense, but I think I really just rabbiting.

Hi Touri, Love your reactions to Dimash. I just found a song I haven't listened to be before MJ's Earth Song performed by Dimash and another guy I can't pinpoint his name but he's a rapper it's quite heavy. It's called ''Earth Song when Ma Baozhen's speed Rap meets Dima Xi Gaoyin'' definitely worth a look at. It doesn't start until 3:31 btw loads of chatter before hand.
