QUESTION!!!! Maybe it’s just my lack of knowledge but why do you request a “high speed” when you know that you are going to conduct an engine out procedure?. I think 🤔 that I am missing something here, the engine out climb rate is approximately 350ft/min so it can’t be a high speed climb & the max knots you normally do when u have an engine out is say 85-100kn. So what is the high speed part. Thanks in advance for any response & apologies for what I know is going to be a dumb question on my part. Lastly I am an ex JTAC for the British army & I have requested high speed shows of force from fighter/attack aircraft but I know it can’t be this lol 😂

He never requested high speed. They just gave it to him, which obviously makes no sense in this type of plane

Good one haha The controllers in HEGN actually always give us "high speed approved" even though we can not perform high speed climbs ;P So it was not a request from us haha

As far as I can judge Martin’s reaction, the „high speed approved“ clearance was issued without him requesting it. He’s grinning because the DA42-VI can’t ever hit the 250kt (which he’s presumably cleared to go over with the „high speed approved“), no matter if below or above 10k ft. Same goes for Micke in the DA40.

Can Ask you, how you feell with ProFlight Series 2 ? Compare to A20-30?
