How incredible was that?! The average person doesn’t even live to the age of 85 let alone show up at the Royal Albert Hall looking gorgeous and perform at nearly the top of their game and win themselves a standing ovation. She is an icon.

sung in the same key as 1987.. I know it is not exactly a high key but just saying DSB could have knocked it down a key had she needed to.

85 years old just let that sink in. 85 years old and singing with control and immense vocal power. Her voice at this age is astounding. She has a unique instrument. DSB is a national treasure an ICON. Phenomenal 💞

Those who criticize a legend, belting one of her signature songs brilliantly at 85 years of age, are maybe the folks not able to hold a note singing in the shower. Dame Shirley Bassey is a unique Superstar.

Many people loose it long before. There is no exact age when this happens. But for 85 Shirley did it very well. It`s not the same than 50 years ago. But for her age it is great. No matter what some weak guys write here in their comments. They should remember that 85 procent are dead with 85.

They should have flown her out to Hollywood to participate in the Bond tribute at the Oscars. She would have brought some class to an otherwise tasteless endeavor.

This just made me cry. An old man watching this truly wonderful artist perform a timeless classic; a beautiful woman whose songs and voice have always just been there for me, an essential part of the soundtrack of my life. God loves you Shirley. 🙏❤️

Phenomenal. She officially retired December 2020. She just performs at special events now but to keep hitting those high notes still requires continued Vocal exercise and preparation. That's the sign of a true professional. Unstoppable Miss Bassey. Longest performing female artist of all time (Hello Guinness book off world records !!)

Now shes 87...87 years young! WOW!

She didn't have an easy life either,but blessed with talent.

Is she really 85? God damn, this is amazing.

I love Dame Shirley Bassey. There is one thing that I noticed in this performance... her vocal range is lower but she held her notes longer. I thought the change-up was just stunning.

Flaws show a performance is live and real. Rather have that than performances which are autotuned to death or, even worse, lip synched.

That sparkle in her eyes, that tilt of the head, that body movement and that voice!!!! Dame right!!!!!

Is she a vampire? She is ageless and still excellent in singng! Nothis has changed! She is still the best!

She has just given a lesson of class, singing, emotion, greatness, and all this at 85 years old. It's was breathtaking, I had goosebumps... Spectacular and the dress was beyond everything 💜

If you haven't seen it, check out her performance at the BAFTAS in 2011 I think it was. She does 'Goldfinger'. Her performance , and the orchestra's, is mind blowing.

Listen to Tom Jones, he is 82 and still sings damn good. It's an exception, but not impossible. You need good vocal technique and vocal hygiene, and a good physical fitness level.

Simply ageless and timeless! At her age, she can still belt it. Love her forever!! A real national treasure.❤❤❤

While she's remarkable for 85, her voice is not the same as it was a half-century ago. She's singing lower and has to slide up into the high notes, but still quite amazing for her age.

She is 85 years old and still KILLING IT!!! Shirley Bassey, one of the best! I'm pretty sure Sean and Roger were smiling down upon you from Heaven!

To hear that voice again after several years of the pandemic, just as stellar and perfect as it always has been is quite emotional. With everything that’s happened and at aged 85, that voice has remained intact. What an absolute privilege to hear it again.

Had the privilege of seeing Shirley at nine performances and even had a sneaky kiss for presenting a bouquet of flowers when I was in the front rtow, this performace was out of the ball park she is a master of her profession and an icon like no other.. love you Shirl.. (sorry Shirley)..lol

She still has those iconic incredibly rich, resonant and vibrant belts. Her voice is truly a diamond, with barely any change over the decades.

She is the number one vocalist for in history. Or at least the last Century. AND AT 85 YRS OLD. SHE LOOKS FANTASTIC AND HER VOICE IS STILL TOTALLY FANTASTIC. TO BAD SHE DOES NOT TOUR ANYMORE

When I was a kid in NYC, I remember purchasing this beautiful & classy lady’s albums in the USA 🇺🇸 and later 2 cds 💿 like “Live at Carnegie Hall”” because she covered many of the popular songs of the day. And so, I got tickets to go see her in Westbury, L.I. USA 🇺🇸 that’s when I would learn that she was British, as big as the Beatles and crown a Dame by the Queen. She is an Icon. The Brits treat their veteran singers/artist, so much better than we do in America. Basically, an Artist with longevity like Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight, etc often have to tour overseas to make money and aren’t currently sign to any record label. We have yet to acknowledge that “Diamonds are forever..”

As a boy I first saw her on that stage, giving 2 concerts in one evening and I saw the first show and was captivated. I could not have known I would see her `live` many times until the last tour at Wembley Arena 2006 when she sang for over 1.5 hours and was magnificent. The 1st occasion was 1972...... 50 years ago

85 and still has that amazing voice!

I grew up in the 70's with my parents listening to Shirley Bassey. I appreciated her because I loved music but now in my 50s's having rediscovered her on YT. OMG! I'm sorry but nobody can touch her. Vocals, emotion, storytelling and connection with her audience is unparalled. She is a masterclass in performance.
