I don't remember Paul. There are a few out there on the subject. This was something I did last year I think but never really thought about doing a video of it. Saying that, I wasn't doing any youtube videos then 😂😂

Hi Neil That should make an interesting video, go for it. I haven't put a slow speed wheel on mine, but have got cup wheels on which i can swap around including that diamond lap cup wheel like yours. Also i can put a polishing mop on. Look forward to it Neil take care Kev

Cheers Kev. I rubbish at shaping and sharpening cutting tools normally. But since making this machine last year I've had great success in making things that cut better than a house brick 🙄🙄

That looks a great idea!, I've been wanting a slow rpm lapping tool for some time, I think I'll follow your lead. Cheers!

Seasons greetings to you both and thank you so much for the kind comments and subscription. Never really planned on starting a channel but so many people appear to get inspiration from my mad ideas that I'll keep going. Many thanks Neil ( Newport, South Wales, UK)

Hi Gerry. I'll do a video soon on it once I'm mobile enough to spend time in the shop. Its only at the proof of concept stage at the moment. It really needs steel or iron anvils as anything sharp digs into the aluminum. Bit ironic to be honest! You make a machine to sharpen things and once they are sharp the machine doesn't work 😁

I'm on it Ian but a thing called Christmas happened and my wife hid the shed keys 🙄

I would be interested to know where the cone came from and how much it cost. Soon I am going to turn a 6" plate to go on one of my grinders to hold a diamond disk for carbide sharpening.

Hi Ben ! Got the diamond cup off ebay a while ago. Think it was about £10. Will see if I can find a link and update you on it. Cheers Neil

@@NellsMechanicalManCave Many thanks. I don't have a slow speed setup but am planning on making something for sharpening carbide.
