Nice approach. A trick for runway 26 left, 45 degree base turn is right past the hotel building. I use that as a secondary point of reference. Although this is assuming its not a busy day with no traffic altering you to extend downwind.

If you constantly have to tell the student to push a bit more nose-down, wouldn't trimming alleviate that? That way neutral stick force is right where you want it and they can focus on throttle for altitude. Just how my CFI tought me, who was a stickler for proper trimming.

Strobe switch is on.

The FI is telling him nose down 80kts more than 4 times why not just trim for 80?
