Yes, she did. The melody is by Sergei Rachmaninoff from his piano concert no. 2. Eric Carmen adapted it as a pop song and successfully sung it himself.

He certainly makes my life of daily ups and downs far better for the past 7 years; just hearing his voice makes me stronger and able to over come the adversities and come out a better person and content with my life much better than ever. It's a kind of inner peace he creates for me.

I think that info.,is out of date. He does not do Taekwondo any more, how would h e have the time. He d oes swim, but I believe he knows how to take care of his voice better by now. Great performance!!!

Well, you were right when you said Celine Dion's version, because it's not her song, it's a cover of an Eric Carmen's song. The NY concert version is also amazing...and hilarious!

Dimash's vocal pyrotechnics are awe inspiring, and this is a cover of Celine's cover. I would like to hear him cover Eric Carmen's original which is the version I grew up on. Carmen's version touches my soul in a way that this one does not. Some songs deserve NOT to be technically flawless. All that said, I still love Dimash, this is just a different song.

So glad you liked it. 😊❤ The original by Eric Carmen is beautiful as well, so sad… And Celine takes this to another level (even though don’t like her voice, when she sings in English. Really don’t know why. I like her French songs better 🤷🏼‍♀️) But Dimash perfects this. ❤ He is really the next step in the evolution of singers. And he‘s not even finished evolving. ☺️

🤯 This is the same concert where he sang The Diva Dance, I think he was 22-23 years old, he had just returned from The Singer show in China where he became tremendously popular, even in his own country, where that was her first solo concert in Kazakhstan. He is touring Europe and Asia, his next concert is in Hong Kong

This is one of my favorite ones, not only because it’s so awesome, but you get a vision of what he’s like as a person and his cute personality 😊

He is such a teaser!!!! He does things like this in his concerts and people go crazy. I have been in two concert, 2022 in Düsseldorf and 2023 in Antalya, Turkey. I just can’t wait to see him again. Thank you for your reaction. I love your reactions. ❤️☮️

What you express is what we Dears feel. It's not just talent, but work and perseverance. This was 6 years ago. He has not stopped studying and working. He continues to look for how to improve day by day with a humility, maturity and commitment that unfortunately is difficult to find today, which makes him enormous as a human being. Imagine giving your first big concert in your beloved country and having over 30,000 Dears from around the world show up.

Not your fault but whoever originally created the title of the video you just watched: This is not a cover of Celine Dion. Dimash's version and Celine's version are BOTH covers of Eric Carmen's original (which was created 22 years before Celine ever got around to doing her version!). By the very definition of "cover song," only the original can be "covered." Since Eric Carmen wrote the lyrics, recorded it, and took the song to the highest position it ever attained on the music charts, he would have a right to be quite offended that someone else is getting credit that is due to him. People in the music industry are quite sensitive to this issue. All of that being said, I love watching your reactions to Dimash and it is my hope (and that of many others, I am sure) that you will never stop doing so. Thanks!

@@catladygoddess Yes, she did a credible job. But I think Carmen felt it more deeply than anyone who has covered it---including Dimash (who is my favorite vocal performer of all time). Carmen's powerful voice is simply incomparable and the emotion he displayed hasn't yet been matched.

I get the carpenter reference. My father worked with wood, as a hobby, and hadn't the $ to buy the nice tools- so it was amazing what he could do with what he had. The DIMASH of carpentry is probably NAKASHIMA for me. In a local museum there was a bench and chair in the lobby you could actually SIT IN. I was in tears. My gal-pal had no clue why I was so moved and thrilled. I said that is kinda like sitting on a Mona Lisa. Shaker furniture- same way. I don't have to be a master carpenter to know greatness when I see it. But having some rudimentary carpentry skills (hammer a nail) makes me appreciate what a true artist can do. ❤

Same concert he did Diva Dance. ❤ There are a lot of videos of Dimash interviews, and just him being goofy. He has a great sense of humor and very funny, and kind. Makes you love and appreciate him even more as just a really good person.

So many people think that Celine's version was the original, but her's was a cover also. The original was written and sung by Eric Carmen. Dimash's version is, by far, the best for me. He is just so amazing!!! He leaves us feeling breathless! Love your reaction 😊🙏💕

Not an alien but a young man who works at his trade day on day. He sings daily with a singing teachers wherever he is. If non available he takes trains himself. Even at school he wud go up into the empty rooms at the very top of the buildings early morning, exceeding his voice . His teacher told him not to keep singing high notes that hed damage his voice, but zdimash knew what he wanted and knew what it took and takes to maintain what he wants. He thinks of himself just a guy like any other. But we all know differently. Such a generous caring young man.
