Dhrupad & Bhakti | Devi Invocation | Shilpa Shanker Narain | Anurag Shanker । Malkauns | Ya Chandi
#dhrupadmusician #indianclassicalmusic #meditativemusic My humble offering on the powerful and auspicious day of Mahalaya today October 6th 2021. This is an invocation to Devi, popularized through the iconic Chandi Path by the great Birendra Krishna Bhadra and composed by the legendary Pankaj Kumar Mullick. I have approached this music piece in Malkauns from a very internalized Dhrupad perspective, to achieve an intersecting or intermingling of musical thoughts, to portray the gradual waking up of the latent energy - Shakti. This has been made possible only by the profound editing, mixing & programming skills of my younger brother Anurag Shanker.
