If all the puppies are killed the quest ends because the point was to save the puppies from the spiders! Not a bug.

The other possible reasoning is he used an AoE attack which killed the spiders as well as the puppies and he should of used targeted attacks to only hurt the spiders.

It wasn't listed as a bug. It was listed as a Character Update. The weird thing was why is this the only quest you can't quit or even log out of? It's like someone was deliberately screwing with the player.@@RustyS90

In the Puppies video, I think it was deliberate, you know that some evil developer specifically wrote it so he completed it by killing either the puppies or spiders because they also coded it so he couldn't cancel the quest, or load a save. Also, the spiders were in several of the shots the entire time. I don't believe it was a bug. I believe they called it a bug after they caught it.

4:11 you were mostly right. Allen wanted to go straight to a PVP game after Ben was having a PVE crisis.

To add insult to injury, poor Greg couldn't even flip Bodger off in the Tag Along sketch.

Greg has helped hundreds and hundreds of adventures most of whom never came back...well because they were killed by the last evil dark Lord...so all he can do is continue to feed the path with yet more fresh meat...I mean powerful new heroes. Lol 🤣 "You there. Murder is a crime punishable by death. Die murderer... for the peace of the kingdom.". 😅

Just as much as the "Puppies" is the worst thing Viva has ever done (yes, even such thing exists, but only one and it´s the puppy skit), the "F you Greg" side look Rowan gives at 15:22 is the best they ever did...okay, maybe one of the 5 best things... 🤣

lol you can see the spiders on the walls and chairs behind him he didnt pay any attention lol but i alway sthink of it as a evil/good choice too cause in games like fable xD

I always wonder just for a bit if Adam's char isn't finishing the quest this time because he saw what happened last time when Quest Greg faded away.

One thing to think about though is that the quest about puppies could have had two paths, killing spiders the good guy path, killing the puppies the bad guy path so he completed the quest but killed the puppies on accident so his morality bar probably went down by ten points.

I thought, when i first saw this skit, that he just failed mission cuz puppies died. Didn't even knew there was a bit disscision about it

There's so many good skits over the course of Epic NPC Man, but seasons 15-20 just seemed to have banger after banger after banger. Glad you're still working your way through the list DG!

I don't think the slaying of the puppies quest has to be that complicated, if the quest was to kill the spiders to save the puppies, but instead he slain the puppies the quest would of failed and he would than be let out of the house, people saying it was a bug if you watch the episode with Greg's wife, the bug fix it only says that the spiders will be made more visible so the puppies won't keep getting killed, it does not say it's a bug that killing the puppies lets you complete the quest.

My theory is it's because of Baradun. We've seen he loves messing with players when he was standing in the graveyard spawn killing a player constantly. It's also suggested he is self aware and trying to mess with the other npcs like the woodcutter so he may get his kicks from having his puppies killed and making him suffer. He may have ways of altering certain aspects of the game like preventing the canceling of quests of course I don't believe this has not been proven.

Season 20, YAY!!! Oh no...those games where the kids are more like shrunken adults are sooooo creepy. Sad to have a really emotional moment ruined by finding out you were just an NPC's booty call. Oh, I so hate escort quests! If they're not running through a nest of enemies for no reason, they're going out of their way to get lost or not complete the quest. He should have started her escort home quickly and chatted on the way, before the triple-orc spawn. Hate it when lag or such messes with your play. I remember having to frequent the fruit sellers to buy treats for my hunter pets. Ooooh Noooo...NEVER mess with NPC's. They will mess you up.
