@@Taradhish Yup. And what's missing is the former. His singing might've been turbulent before, but it was always passionate and the abrasiveness is part and parcel for Industrial music. Naturally if you're a proghead you'll probably mistake it for singing "bad"; progheads hate anything that eschew conventions.

@@Taradhish Still, although he doesn't have the same manic abrasive delivery anymore, I'd rather him be playing these songs without harming his voice and being comfortable with himself.

He sounds AMAZING doing SYL now.

Heard word he was going to start playing Lad songs again. This makes me very happy.

This is absolutely brilliant, Dev sounds awesome and the band is absolutely on point and tight as a chicken's backside, but without Gene, Byron and Jed it's not the same. Lacking a bit of stage presence now, miss those guys. However, really happy to see Dev playing SYL again. Brilliant stuff!

I've kinda got mixed feelings too - I'm genuinely glad he's no longer in a headspace where he needs to write these kinds of songs, and if he can get up there nowadays and play them with a sense of enjoyment that's great. But it's absolutely missing the fury of SYL and the Jed/Gene/Byron combo, these guys in the video look like they'd rather be anywhere else. I was lucky to see SYL quite a few times in the late 90s (god I sound old) and Devin looked absolutely deranged and possessed onstage - but like I was saying, it's good that he's found some peace and balance in life.

@@marywhitehouse9990 Totally agree. Saw SYL twice and they absolutely tore the entire venue to shreds. Maniacal, and like you said, possessed, like there was an insane man on stage going ballistic. The chemistry between the guys was also unreal. Brilliant. This is also awesome, musically. But that's about it. Then again, you're right, good for him.

That has to be the most metal lineup looking band I've ever seen! xD

I'm pretty sure this will be the setlist in his upcoming "Part 2" tour, including Europe. So, there's still a chance.

He said he'll be doing heavy stuff again this year on the summer festivals and let fans vote for his Bloodtsock setlist, but I guess it's a surprise what exactly he'll be playing everywhere. I'm gonna see him again on august 9 in the Netherlands, yay!

He said he's tired of being afraid of playing Strapping live again, so he'll be tackling his fear head on, and we'll be there to offer full support.

Imitation is impossible, but would still be good to be there, l hope DT won't flip after the tour
