DEVIN TOWNSEND and the Framus STORMBENDER Prototype

Музыка

Please note: A lower price range model of the Framus Stormbender will be available in Framus "Pro-Series" and "D-Series".
Devin Townsend talks about the latest changes on his Framus signature guitar called "The Stormbender". Devin dropped by at the Framus & Warwick headquarters in Germany during his 2017 Europe tour to talk to Warwick's Marcus Spangler (head of R&D) and to physically develop an updated Prototype for the final version of the Framus Strormbender guitar.

    love Devin for his hilarious madness in his music and the presentation, but when it comes to instruments, he is so serious. Well done Framus. I want to own one.

    hm, kinda prefer the look of the first one.never knew he played 24.75" necks tho, thats crazy for open B imo. thats gotta be flubby unless you put like a 64 on the bottom or some shit

  • @reubenginsburg2012

    @reubenginsburg2012

    JunkieMonkey321 Dev plays mostly open C, which is CGCGCE so your low strings are tuned drop C and the high strings are tuned standard with the B string tuned up a step. A set of 10-52's on a 24.3/4" scale actually feel great ;)

  • @JunkieMonkey321

    @JunkieMonkey321

    yeah i know what the tuning is but 10-52 is barely enough for C on a 25½ inch scale length, let alone 24 3/4"

  • @reubenginsburg2012

    JunkieMonkey321 that's what I thought too the first time I tried it on a 24.3/4" with 10-52, but try it out sometime, it's surprisingly balanced

    Fantastic design. There's something from Music Man's Majesty in it, maybe it's that middle insert. Really fresh. So sick of all those "signature" models that are just your typical les paul with a name of some old irrelevant fart on a headstock that costs 6 times the price. Need more unique and more personalized designs. Tosin Abasi's signature from Ibanez is another great example. It's just like nothing out there.
