For a guy who never played WR his whole career, even in High School, Hester was still a solid receiver.

It’s crazy how no matter where they had him it was exciting to watch regardless

It’s almost disgusting how much they didn’t include him in the offense.

Bruh when atlanta had him matt Ryan roddy white Tony Gonzalez and julio....omg the first two weeks Hester looked like he was finally gonna be full time offensive weapon and they just stopped

Looking at how similar players to Hester are used now it really makes me wonder what kind of number he could have put up with the right OC, with Slants, Screens, Sweeps, tosses, lining him up in the backfield, etc… Obviously he wasnt a good Route Runner but if you can just get him the ball and let him run hes dangerous.

he couldn’t run good routes… most important skill for a receiver behind their catching ability obviously

He was really good as a receiver. Them him being offense on special teams too. He was like two players in one.

He was eh at receiver. Great hall of fame special teams player, but his route running skills weren’t impressive

@@yeelicious-6232 I'll give you the route running part. He was never Ocho or Antonio Brown. But dude started at cornerback and transitioned to receiver. If seen some try Michael "Beerman" Lewis for my Saints, Dante "Weapon X" Hall, Josh Cribs not to the same level as actually becoming an actual starter. Walter Payton actually played quarterback for the Bears. Randall Cunningham did played quarterback and ran for like 900 yards and punted. Troy Brown for the Patriots was a good wide receiver and played special teams then Belichick put him at corner and he was pretty good. Lamar Jackson is the Ravens starting quarterback, led the league in TD passes and was 5th in rushing and everybody knows who is getting the ball. As a fan of Deion Sanders and Rod Woodson from the 80s and 90s. I always appreciate players that do multiple things on a football field. So when they call players the greatest football player but only do one position well/great it makes me question them being the greatest.
