People gotta realize Devin lives in the gym and he’s only shown a fraction of his total skill set in his fights because he only does what it takes to win. The gym is where he goes totally insane so he can make W’s look easy on fight night using less than half of his arsenal.

When your in a real fight all the shit you want to remember sometimes just vanishes out of your mind and you have to go off instinct. You can sharpen your skills with medium/light sparring of course, but the truth is without being in fights you really can’t learn how to. So it seems bad, but that’s because it looks a lot worse seeing it in practice with no camera and lights. These same punches may not even work on a guy in a live fight so you have to know how to work around real issues like not being able to knock someone out or getting rocked.

This is exactly why so many boxers are punch drunk, and have flat noses. The human brain was not designed by GOD to take this type of punishment consistently without consequences. Sparring in this manner shortens your career in and outside of the ring. The head gear that they are are wearing offers only a small amount of protection. I know from experience, and many headaches after Sparring.

Maybe skill and reflex-wise, but not power. Especially in his early days, at these light weight divisions, Mayweather was leaving bodies. I don't think Haney's power and chin are gonna withstand going up 5 weight classes. He'll be competitive at 140, but 147 will be difficult, imo. Stevenson's already on his 2nd weight class, about to go to 135 once Haney goes up to 140 (they're mates and don't wanna fight each other. seriously, everyone who interacted with Devin in the amateur days seems to really like the guy), and then they'll probably cash in a mega fight at 140, since they both seem to really wanna fight Taylor (I mean who wouldn't wanna see that; Taylor is THAT guy at 140). I think 147 will be a struggle for Stevenson, too; he hits hard but not Bud or Spence hard. That's 2 divisions for Haney, and 4 for Stevenson (3 and 5 respectively, if they manage a 147 belt). While we're hitting possible Mayweathers, I think Boots will go up to from 147 to 168, unless everyone ducks him, with 175 being a struggle, totaling 4 possibly 5 divisions. tl;dr: Easier for Stevenson and Ennis to improve skill than it is for Haney to develop power, as shown by Mayweather himself. But we'll see, these are just my guesses!
