It's the same as Vergil's line, "My son means nothing to me", where the Japanese line was something like "My son? Is that supposed to mean anything?", or "My son? What are you talking about?"

After DMC 4 dante gave Nero his own branch of the devil may cry business, so hes been working for dante for a few years now

Okay, Nero is clearly going through the five stages of grief. • Denial: he's in disbelief after finding out the man that cut off his arm is his father • Anger: he's lashing out after reuniting with Trish, Lady and Nico • Bargaining: he tells Nico to stop the van but decides to go by himself • Depression: his climb to the top of the Qliphoth and his phone call to Kyrie • Acceptance: his arm grows back and he fully awakens to his Devil Trigger This is clear cut, and I love how Dante and Vergil knew that Nero is at this point stronger than the both of them from Dante getting bitch slapped by him and Vergil losing his fight against him.

25:12 The way Vergil hands his sword to his left hand is so detailed that most of us missed. Devs on this game are so awesome.

Atleast V is human side of vergil that he straight up explain how he exist and who is urizen who is actually demon bad side of vergil

As much of an asshole vergil is I think during the previous games and this one he was doing everything he could to survive and prevent himself from becoming helpless again BUT the problem was that he always looked out for himself cause he expected no one else to do so. When he first met nero he was literally dying and his only thought was "I need my sword to survive" taking it from a random dude without killing him is actually odd seeing as vergil has killed for a lot less. Then when he split himself in half the desire for power (urizen) did everything it could to get more power for absolutely no reason then dante showed up and he wanted to show dante his power the power he wanted for so long but V the desire to be loved and protected realized how bad he fucked up and did everything he could despite being the weakest person in dmc5. He got to learn from his mistakes and see things from a weak perspective where someone actually protected him (nero) when the two of them finally come together, vergil is given the hindsight that he spent so long getting power and now that he has it what does he want to do with it. By the time he comes back i don't see him as an antagonist literally the qliphoth was already complete and all vergil did was defend himself from dante and let him go to make it a fair fight because he wanted to see that with all of his power he gained the wrong way would be enough to beat the power dante had who got it "the right way" but was blindsided by a human "mistake" in the form of nero who only wanted to preserve his family basically throwing the ultimate fuck you to vergils quest for power to protect something. And now that he was beaten by nero he didn't mind helping fix his mess even if it meant being stuck in the underworld AGAIN and he even offered dante a way out so his brother wouldn't be stuck in hell with him but dante decided to stay with his brother. So in vergils own traumatic way he went through life trying to be strong to protect himself and the things he wanted to protect by going down a dark path but seeing everything he was left with and what he did, he felt it was all wrong and did his best to make up for his mistakes while still maintaining his pride. So while vergil is obviously not a "good" guy he isn't really a bad guy who does things just for the sake of doing them and is now trying to redeem himself.

I hope we gonna see more of them in DMC 6

There should be DMC 0 which is a story of how Sparda betrayed Mundus. The story would be about a badass human who is fighting alone against the demons the human world but is struggling because of his human limitations, he encounters Sparda, an incredibly powerful but evil and faces a devastating loss but manages to live, the human realizes Sparda may be the only demon capable to defeating Mundus, and finds out about an Orb that can humanize a demon, not physically but gain human emotions and character. He manages to succeed at the cost of his own life, the new, confused sparda wonders about until he meets Eva, saving her from the demons. He sees the suffering of the humans and his encounter with Eva changes his view on humans and decided to take his role as the protector of the human world. As for the gameplay, there should be 2 characters, Sparda and the human who changed Sparda.

Kind of make sense, I mean Orihime Arrangar clothing is same as Kyrie. But I think Nero perfectly fits in with Trunks from DBZ as Vegita has the same issues like Vergil and Dante kind of resemblances Goku as Goku was the first one to know that Trunk's was Vegita's son and Dante was also the first one to figure out Nero's father. I don't think Ichigo ever has such awkward family complexity as Nero and Trunks have.

[SPOILERS] Nero was actually born with the Devil Bringer on his right arm. Apparently, his arm changed as a result of being possessed by an evil force. - my point is that nero's arm at birth looked like the human one at 23:06, that is his demon arm. just with skin instead of the look it had pre DMC5

This is off topic but I hate how underused Lady and Trish were in this game. They were basically used for fanservice purposes. I hope they make a DLC where Lady and Trish are playable. Oh and one where Vergil's playable too. =)

I think it is because they wanted to focus on Nero, Dante and V. Each playable character has a direct connection to the main story and Urizen/Vergil. Your right that they should in a DLC. Another possibility is that they might be the new protagonists alongside Nero if they continue the games and if Dante and Vergil are still in the underworld.

@@RedLight1Go in the devil may cry v graphic novel it explains how vergil got corrupted and how Yamato was broken into pieces. (Yamato’s shattered pieces can be used to travel to the human world)

Is there a timeline link that explains the years and the character's ages? How many years has passed from the first DMC to DMC 5? Or I should say DMC 3 to DMC 5?

cdawg002 DMC3 took place 20 years before DMC4. DMC4 takes place between 1 to 5 years before DMC5. Capcom wasn’t clear.

Can someone explain when vergil came for the Yamato he was corrupt and running out of time so he separated him self but his human side continued to fall apart. So my question is after some time when V merged with urizen and became vergil again how come vergil was fine again? He was no longer corrupt? Sorry if i asked a dumb question

Vergil was dying from his time as Nello Angelo so when v reunited with urizen he removed that part of him but they survived just not as a part of vergil so they decided to die in combat agaisnt damte to fully remove that corrpution

Urizen absorbed plenty of human blood and also ate the fruit to supposedly become stronger than even sparda. So when V reunited with Urizen, the power from blood carried over

Now now, if only dante and vergil considering make more offspring, both of their wishes will come true. Danta will have successor so he can going back to be carefree, vergil can have a lot of crazy strong offspring that he can fight later

in an interview with Hideaki Itsuno, he explained that since V is the human half of Vergil, he doesn't have a lot of demonic power. in-game, when he summons griffon, nightmare, and shadow, the corresponding tattoo disappears from V's skin and instead is on the skin of whichever of the 3 he's summoned. Vergil's 'nightmares' of sorts are the entire reason that V has his familiars, so i would say that V's tattoos are specific to him as a being separate of Vergil. :) hopefully that made sense. also, if you look closely in the cutscene where V is split from Vergil, you can see V's hair quickly turning from white to black, and tattoos growing on his skin. i would think that if Vergil had them - assuming they would transfer to V in the first place, because that's definitely not guaranteed - that they wouldn't grow on his skin, but would already be there, since V's hair was white for a split second when he first formed. :)

V can absorb demon power using his cane as a conduit. When a demon is killed or submits their power can be absorbed as a devils arm. V and Urizen are directly connected so when he absorb Urizen they became Vergil once more. This is more of a theory and I am not entirely sure.

But is the cane special at all? That’s what I’m wondering. Like is it an artifact that helps absorb the power?

DarkMirria1. The cane is just good for channeling power. In the gallery, Nico inspects the cane and found it to be a good conduit for demonic power. The power is mostly V’s power to absorb demonic energy from defeated demon similar to how Dante gains Devil Arms from defeated demons. Another thing I noticed is that in some cases when V stabs a demon you see cracks that appear out of thin air similar to when slashes appears when Vergil uses Yamato.
