Not sure if it was the exact same model but I heard a similar pair at the Montreal show a few years ago. Was blown away by the amount of bass they produced, put a big grin on my face. Guaranteed to impress your unsuspecting brother in law. Probably best with electronic music but too mechanical sounding as an all rounder for my tastes.

What a groovy design the only down fall their is a quite a large foot print with the stands for such a small speaker could be a bit of putting for some , would of been nice to hear some other music as what was being demoed would sound good on most systems , but other wise great video great sound :)

Are those 600? 900?
It would be great if you could test the new Phantom 1 series. There is not a single good review out there. What I could find out so far is that they are excellent when it comes to bass but they lack in terms of sound stage. Not sure if that's true or not.

Owner here, not true. You do need to watch out to get the highest specced one, that one has a different DAC, DSP, amp and also a different tweeter. Huge difference. The soundstage when positioned well and using a stereo pair is great!

I think a lot of people think they are just magic and can set them up however they want… and they fail. They (Phantom Golds) are my favorite speaker on the planet, but I took the time to set them up properly.
hello, I am a fan of cinema and I hesitate a lot between taking either two Devialet reactor 600 or a pair of Kef lsx. Devialet what attracts me is his descent into the subwoofer (18hz) for war films, science fiction like starwars or startrek that must be top! And the Kef LSX attracts me with their Uni-Q technology which eliminates the sweet spot and has a more faithful sound reproduction than the Devialets. I could have taken the Kef ls50 wireless without hesitation, but they are too bulky for my living space. So what do you recommend between a pair of Devialet reactor 600 or a pair of Kef LSX?

my advice is dont read too much into speaker specs - most huge subwoofers don't give you bass at 18hz, the devialet design is very clever but its not going to give you useable 18hz bass., These are both small speakers, best to be mindful of their limitations and enjoy them for what they give you.

Nice design, the sound is ok. My local swedish hifi dealer tried hard to sell me a pair, he thinks they sound better than my Tannoy FSM and my Infinity IRS Beta. What a joke, typical salesman.
