Just to clear up some confusion about spells... I am aware in RAW a caster cannot cast two spells in the same turn of Level 1 or higher. However, I'm running with the CR campaign 1 homebrew of a 2nd spell CAN be cast, as long as one of the spells is a bonus action, either that one, or the other one is a Level 1 spell. Now about the next session... There is a high chance that the next video release will be the 22nd of this month, as I will be busy for the next week, and wouldn't want to rush it. (Hopefully, this will be the last delay for some time.) I make Saxy's words mine: "Are you fucking kidding me??" A fatal shot in one episode and a effing fatal explosion in the following one?? To make matters worse, that explosion seems to have reached everyone! =O You're killing us here (and our adventurous friends)! Great episode, man! Can't wait to see if Raarh survived this one. Seeing as he survived a freaking free fall a couple of episodes ago, not all hope is lost!!

I thought that roar was going to die for sure, but then I remembered he had relentless endurance. I love that ability it’s very fair, “balanced”, and “fun”.

YES! A combat episode, I've been missing these but man did it deliver! The fucking tension was and is (cliffhanger!) incredible. I also love you having the players with Celestia & Rawr asking about rules mechanics mid-fight it makes it feel more realistic and of course Tronald the team cheerleader is always heartwarming, but you better not take away our Rawr or we will all have to RAGE!

If the amount of the explision did not surpass the his hit point maximum in the "minus" range, than his "Relentless Fortitude" feature for being a Half-Orc will save him. Because he is a Bear Totem Barbarian, unless that explosion is psychic damage (which I think is most definately not), than he would halve all that damage until reaching "0 hp". Any excess would be "normal" damage that would go through (but he has close to 50 hp, so very, very beefy...)

The tension and drama you're able to build in such a short amount of time surely deserves some kind of award. The writing and pacing are phenomenal! The rug pulls are so meticulously placed and always feel appropriate and satisfying. Everyone acts within the parameters of their established characterisation, and when they don't, it's usually accompanied by some brilliant exposition and has a meaningful impact on the story at large or the motivations and growth of the main cast. These fights feel more like a struggle of idealogical differences rather than the heros just wailing away at bags of HP or even outmaneuvering them strategically. It offers those elements, but it balances it all so well and applies them in such a dosage that it feels damn near perfect, no matter what the outcome may be. Masterpiece, I swear. Hats off to you and whoever may be involved for this gem of a story

The dark elf should have had to do a concentration check to maintain the webs after Saxy shot him. And Raarh is a raging bear totem. At 46 hp he would have to take 92 damage (because it is reduced to half) to be reduced to zero, plus another 46 (for a total of 138 damage) for it to be automatic death, otherwise his racial ability as a half orc kicks in and any fatal attack leaves him at 1 HP. He is going to live.

Dispersing the initial damage and not focusing on downing either the barbarian or the hooded wizard was a big mistake in the opening of the fight, IMHO: it is n00b knowledge that generally speaking 10 wounded opponents are way more dangerous than 5 healthy and 5 downed ones🤔. Anybody else was expecting Raarh to throw the barbarian on the rest of his crew? That would have been rather hilarious :D

Definitely not holding my breath when Raarh was laying on the barbarian whom was about to explode...

Rarrh is still raging as the grapple check would count as an attack for Rage purpose. Rarrh is Bear Totem so he resistance to everything but psychic damage. At 46 HP left, he effectly could soak up 92 damage before his racial kicks in. Given his starting HP is 52 so long as he doesn't take 144 damage in the explosion he will be alright. If Rarrh takes greater than 144 he is killed outright

Please that AI guys, my dude listen I need for you to keep up this phenomenal work. Please don't give up.

They definitely calculated Raar's damage wrong. You don't double damage on a crit. You double the number of damage dice rolled. So you don't add +10 for great weapon master and then double that. It's added to the result of the damage dice rolled twice.

Such an epic session that I had to watch that final climatic scene again! The 22nd can't come soon enough! Will our heroes be saved by the sacrifice of Rarh?
