However I learnt real quick that only having the knowledge of boxing in MMA made me look like James Toney against Randy Couture even though I had transitioned to all around MMA styles before that fight. . In any fight besides a hands only style fight BJJ will defeat boxing 8 times out of 10. Specially in a street fight. However we are talking about Kendell competing in a sport he has never been known for. Stand up hands only style fighting. Yeah I sorta agree about the head stomp cause now a days most are punk bitches and don't man up one on one. Straight up man to man BJJ over a boxer 8 of 10 times. Depending on the boxer now I'll give u that benefit. In my prime I went 11and 2 in the cage but only 2 wins were submission and the rest were knockouts against BJJ practitioners who thought I was a easy take down til they woke and learnt the lighting I had in my hands were backed with power it Thors hammer. Lol. Now I'm a out of shape opinionated fat ass trying to pass on the knowledge of my glory days to bullied children and less fortunate kids who can't afford memberships to gyms. Listen I'm not knocking boxing. Just as a person who was once well rounded in many disciplines I feel someone with BJJ training will take a single mindset boxer. and the Ray Mercer fight. Lol. I remember that one. About like 12 seconds was it? Maybe 9. Silva throws a leg kick and Ray for a split second almost stops completely with a look on his face like oh shit I forgot we ain't boxing. Lol. The overhand right and goodnight Silva. Lol loved it too. Hated Silva. The douchebag came to one of my events once to sign autographs and was a complete tool. Wouldn't watch any of the fights. Wouldn't meet any of the fighters. Wouldn't look up at the fans as he took their money for his overpriced autographs.
