Wow! You know that what I saw as well! But not conscious of it. You said it perfectly 🥰

People will dismiss what Dev says here and just lump it in with the "actor's struggle" but he's talking about something specific to the actor of color's experience. Everything that you usually associate with being an actor plus being a brown, that no matter how good you are or attractive the kinds of roles for someone like you where you'll get this character that seems like a normal person and you get a chance to really act but also represent your community in a meaningful way... those are few and far between.

Manuel A Hurtado I've seen it, I really enjoyed it, and there needs to more shows that address similar unique experiences, not just because it's the right thing to do but it makes for equally interesting entertainment. More conversations need to happen because it's a complicated topic like how colorism works, why whitewashing is so wrong, and to address issues for Asian, Latinx, and Black talent and communities specifically when it comes to representation. Also, how important solidarity is so communities of color don't fall into the trap blaming or demeaning each other when it's white Hollywood execs and casting directors making problematic diversity choices.

i am so in love with him and his acting, the way he portrays the characters feels so genuine and real. i really, really hope that he gets more big roles, especially in dramas because he's just absolutely brilliant there. hollywood and the international film community better not sleep on him, it's such a waste of pure talent (and total eye candy)

They clearly were tryin listen and understand a thing most of them dont completely. Which i honestly admire since a person could easily say "i know that already" and not listen to a thing they should listen to

All the panelists were mesmerised by what he had to say. Expressive, articulate and man ....his diction is just mind blowing

i love dev so much he's so pure but every single time the camera was on casey affleck i felt like destroying this video. why did they put such a disgusting man with the angel that is dev? he deserved better

He has really been changed and grown up from the boy from Slumdog Millionaire. His performance in Lion was so magnificent. He's still got so much potential and even deserves more.

I genuinely love Dev Patel, Josh Gordon lewitt and Andrew Garfield ❤ three of them are really grounded and talented..!! I feel like they have proved themselves as actors and yet they are somewhat underrated..!! They deserve all the praise and attention..💕💕

Struggle is about living what we cannot possibly imagine is real. Being brave is walking that journey standing tall and Dev Patel did that in such a great sense of grace bringing a life force to the story

Talented, hard work, down to earth that all you need to win million of heart. God Bless you . We need more story like this 💖
