One design area of 4e units I would like to see, maybe eventually, is a rock-paper-scissors between infantry - heroes - monsters. Monsters on the whole have felt very toothless to me, I really feel like bog standard monster should wreck a standard battle line infantry unit. And a foot hero should be able to dark souls 1v1 a monster, but get totally jumped by line of infantry.

That thumbnail is the best thumbnail I've ever seen on any hobby tuber's video ever - and thats coming from someone that consumes in excess of 12hrs of content/day

Preacher Josef from INQ54 has the exact same skull in a box thingy on him. We've already had Sergeant Stone in the KT : Inquisitorial Agents (alongside Damien 1427, Inquisitor Eisenhorn or Battle Brother Artemis a while back), I would not be surprised if that was yet another classic redone in plastic for 40K.

Loving the look of Nighthaunt, although not sure how useful an auto-wound is on Olynder when she's wounding on a 2+ anyways. Enjoying all the changes of 4.0 so far, even the little things like changing the Rend, so there's no hyphen before the number, much more intuitive.

i completely missed the no more summoned units in 4.0. Had to reread the Tzeentch article and i'm very happy about that. I hope it isn't just replaced by bringing back units in 90% of the armies. I also have to look at my Nurgle Demons I only got due to summoning as i prefer only mortals. Well at least i have options if i want to do a mixed force. Just waiting for the ironjaws and Maggotkin reviews for the rest of my armies. After that its all about the indices and any previews for new models.

I don't know if you noticed Vince all monsters seem to bracket at 10 wounds taken so it makes it even easier for people to know when monsters bracket (at least what we have seen so far)

You need some inspiration for a necromancer, listen to Death and Taxes by The Stupendium. Necromancers are the ultimate middle managers after all.

Deth Wizards question: the shadowed escape power description makes it sound like it's a response to dmg, but it doesn't have the "special-..." part that describes powers that are used out of turn as a reaction. Is that an error or is it just meant to be a teleport during Necromancer's activation?

I'll switch, but I'll need the Fighter Cards. I really don't like having to flick between pages, write everything out on card or bending the book back so far, to photocopy the cards, that the book spine is wrecked.

Unfortunately from the Mawtribes preview, I get the impression that GW's vision for the army is boring af. I really hope the actual battletome will have more interesting ideas than this bland index.

I think it's lazy as hell that they didn't come up with a new box of spearhead for every faction. Like sure it's 24 factions but you know this is a new game mode plan it out using advance and you have to product ready to go. I don't like different war scrolls across spearhead and AOS. Actually build the product to fit the game Don't build the rules to fit the product. But honestly what I want is a balanced 500 point product where I get to build my own list. I'm a Johnny I never want to play the same army twice, So spearhead has nothing for me. Also it may be streamlining but I don't like the removal of more feints or traps in the sequencing of redeploy. To me those are very essential pieces that are just left out of the Warhammer experience too much with the way the community runs things and the hatred for "gotchas", The feint is key to strategic gameplay and mind games and not making your moves till you have full information from the enemy is a huge loss there unfortunately. It may be worth losing in that case to speed up the game but I don't want to see all those go away I want to see them injected back in In other places. So Vince I do have a question regarding AOS 4: do you feel like range units have been overly nerfed? I'm just a bit concerned because it seems like there has been a lot of negative changes towards them that have stacked up and that's always where GW shit's the bed in these games is when they try to do multiple changes to something at once and underestimate the compounding effect. The reason I say this is that ranges got reduced, most weapons can't shoot in combat, and lethality has gone down which is also a Nerf for range which wants to eliminate its target before it reaches them. Just feels to me that all of these stack up in the same direction against ranged units and gives me very much the same feeling as I got when they just nerfed my CSM in January stacking multiple nerfs on top of each other and turned one of the best armies in the game into One of the worst for a while.

No, I think you have easier unleash hell now, and shooting was always powerful. In general, from my experience, I’m not worried about shooting. I think it will be fine/good still.

I still don't see it, because of things like power through, and can't see how I keep my flamers out of combat and get out of combat and back to shooting, 🤞 they have shoot in combat. But I Will take your word for it and stay optimistic. Just wanted to add I really appreciate the ridiculous amount of time and effort you put into all this. I'm a teacher so I know what it must be like to answer a million comments and questions I'm honestly amazed to keep up. You are also my number one painting channel and hobby channel amid stiff competition. I really appreciate that you don't just toe a completely corporate line Which makes the commentary useless, but also stay positive and upbeat. And your videos are the reason my first projects I've ever done have turned out actually amazing instead of looking like crap. Hat's off to you and the crew bud.
