It’s actually a very good move in terms of therapy in general. It’s like what Jerry said in Rick and Morty: “trying to relax” is a paradox. If someone is in a stressed state, it’s smart to try and think of a method of calming down to ask them to do, rather than just say “calm down”. I just realized, it’s the same when someone responds to a request for aid on something they find challenging with “just do it better”, or “get good”. That’s not actually constructive or helpful, so all it does is annoy the person receiving the message

Never tell ANYONE to calm down. It doesn't work well with anyone, man or woman. It's also worth noting that making unfounded accusations against women of being "irrational" "emotional" "hysterical" or whatever has been a classic sexist method of dismissing legitimate grievances and arguments made by women. There is no scientific basis to say that women are less capable of making rational decisions than men. Women are actually in many ways better, because they are much more risk averse than men.

I taught high school math for a few years. Nathan & Jody's case is too common. They're a power couple whose focus on their careers could split atoms. Their neglect inspires both the emotional need from their son to seek their attention, & the parents' willful blindness to the need to discipline that son. Such discipline would be a distraction from their focus on professional achievement, & it's easier to ignore the problem than it is to recognize it, own the fact that their inattention caused it, & take time to correct the situation. Such dynamics invariably escalate until the problem becomes too severe to ignore. Those 2 owe Isaac their gratitude, for standing up and pointing out the problem they didn't want to see.

@LOL In Orville, I think the editing you’ve done to Isaac’s dialogue adds to the already hilarious scenes. But don’t you think it would be fair, appropriate, and honest to add a disclaimer to the video letting your audience know you’ve added dialogue from multiple episodes for comedic effect. Some viewers might not realize alterations have been made if you don’t tell them. Again let me say I really enjoyed the humor and creativity of what you did and that is at least partly because I am so familiar with the original scenes and unaltered dialogue.

@@lolinorville4418 Why do idiots do this sort of thing? It completely ruins the episode for those of us who haven't seen the whole thing. 14 year old kids should not be allowed on the Internet when they do these kinds of stupid things. It absolutely is not funny.

@@lancer525 Then maybe watch the show before hopping on KZread to watch scenes you haven't seen yet. Kinda setting yourself up for failure there. Besides, all the video did was change a few lines of dialogue for the sake of being funny. Hardly rewriting the show.

The robot love story is so stupid and depressing It’s like the sex doll thing but for a women but also as creepy as those weird anime when they have a girl act like a child
