For being so smart destiny you're not very smart are you!? First of all the people of Gaza are surrounded by three concrete walls with the fourth one being the ocean, Gaza has no port or control of a sea port of any kind, Gaza also has no ability to access its airspace up above with no self-defense systems of any sorts, you say Ham, uses people as human shields how? The people have nowhere to run do you not understand how tall the walls are that surround Gaza and the security that is around that perimeter? You do also realize that Israel controls its electricity and its water? Look the list goes on and on and on you either paid by the Israeli media company to promote Israel in a positive light or you're just stupid destiny which one is it?

How you're this spot on in high resolution but can't see the inevitably destructive ideology that has consumed the modern left is really confusing to me. You're fighting for a political party that won't just disappoint you but will continue the march towards authoritarianism if not defeated.

Can I ask you to… answer that question instead of just saying “oh no” Where in Gaza should Hamas fight from? Can you point me to an area somewhere during the conflict where they could have fought from where there would be no civilians around? I also disagreed with cenk literally until you wrote this comment and then I couldn’t answer myself where I think they should fight from Edit* I forgot to write “where Hamas would not be immediately destroyed” I always understood there are non residential areas of Gaza. The amount of you who all got your rocks off pretending like I’m some brain dead Hamas supporter are super cringe and the way you jump to conclusions reminds me of the convos I have in hasan comment sections. They arent superheroes i agree but cutting off water and food from gaza isnt a way to deter terrorism you actually make civilians more supportive of terrorism. There were reports of hospitals not having enough medicine and water to operate on people. Is that collateral damage? Is there any justification for cutting off water and food to gaza with almost half the population being underage? Also the israeli gov told palestinian civilians to move south and many of them did ,yet they bombed the south as well. When you hear israeli military officials say that they are no innocent people in gaza isnt it sane to assume that they dont care about the civilian population and probably are bombing indiscriminately ?

That's a factor, when it can be, but if that were the goal, bad actors would use that sentiment against their enemy, and that is exactly what Hamas does. One wonders, did Cenk succumb to Hamas propaganda or does he agree with their strategy?

Destiny: yeah but if they want the oppression to stop, Palestinians have to stop fighting the oppressor back first. Also, Destiny parroted some of the most dishonest Zionists talking points. The most obnoxious one is the idea that Israel gave Palestinians an amazing deal years ago and they rejected it because they just want to kill all the Jews instead. All the deals they offered Palestinians denied them of a national army. What sovereign nation would accept this? *139 countries* recognize Palestine as a sovereign state and every couple of years, the UN votes for Palestinian statehood (you know, how they did for Israel statehood) and the result is always 160 something votes in favor of it and a few nos by Isreal, the U.S. (of course) and a few small countries like Micronesia or Papua. As someone with no investment in either Palestinian or Israeli politics, from watching a lot of these debates it seems like many pro-Palestinian people suffer from some kind of moral hyperactivity. They have a conclusion reached from some pieces of evidence which gives them moral righteousness, but if you attempt to force them to slow-walk you through the evidence they get immensely frustrated and insist that you just agree with the conclusion.

He is not an impartial member of the press when he talks about this. He really shows his 'dislike for Jewish people and his unchangeable completely personal unfounded based in commonality with the Palestinians' opinion where he selectively ignores the facts of what has happened in Israel since its founding. I used to watch/listen to The Young Turks, and in all honesty I haven't watched a single episode since I heard Cenk's emotional and uneducated opinion of Jews that he's been yelling from his fairly large platform.. all I can think when I hear him speak is shame on you I didn't know you were a bigot.. he has been given a pass for way too long. He is not an objective observer, and is in no position to present a single word about the topic that he says as objective or news because every word that comes out of his mouth about Israel is disingenuous.. at best if I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.. Cenk ought to be ashamed of himself for his small-minded and bigoted opinion that he has towards Israel while asking everybody to not feel that way about people that HE approves of.. evidently unsolicited rape, murder, and torture of innocent people is a okay as long as it's Jewish people that are being tortured murdered kidnapped and gang raped TO DEATH.

Incredible. One thing I love about Destiny is he does extensive research. I remember a couple weeks he said he couldn't give a proper opinion on the topic because he was not as researched on it but here he is a few weeks later with the information at the tip of his tongue ready to support any claim he makes or challenge any one that Cenk makes. Beautiful debate.

I feel like his research has slanted his view because since Israel has been a state until the turn of the millennium, Israel had the moral high ground. But the last 20 years, I don’t see how you can defend them.

as an Israeli who lives in Israel for the past 32 years i am truly impressed by his dedication to fact finding and how fast he learned 75 years of a very complicated topic and is able to debate in such a convincing matter that you could mistake him for an expert scholar

@@stavrosmayakofsky1915 If you spend 3-4 weeks doing wiki research (8 to 10 hours a day) and debate/gather info from some lefties content creators on the topic I guarantee you that you will be among the top 1% of people who can grasp the situation clearly.

yeah reading wiki pages for a couple weeks because you grifted belligerent takes early on to soak up the viewers now you have to feign knowing enough so when you quintuple down on said edge lord opinions months later with zero accountability and despite considerable push back it seems legit to your sad rabble of mostly agency-less, parasocial nubs that follow you

The whole Cenk thing only really works if he’s debating himself.

He often takes the opportunity to do that in his downstairs WC - at least he's the smartest person in the room on those occasions
