I’ve been shopping for some board games in the past week and discovered your channel… I’m so glad I did! I really love your video format, you have a very great back and forth between both of you. You’re funny, you know your stuff, the videos are straight to point with just enough info. In just a few days, you became my favourite board game channel! My only issue is that I have now too much games on my list! :) I’m rating your channel as… Must Have!!!

Hi gents, thank you for a great video and appreciate your thoughts on this game... I just completed the game with my family (we had 3 people playing) and here's what I've found (MINOR SPOILERS): 1. The game's production values are REALLY impressive. The quality of design and components is very good! 2. Although there IS a 'story' attached to this game, it's fairly weak because your actions have no impact on the outcome. 3. It's repetitive! You move, roll, read, repeat...every....single...turn. It gets boring REALLY fast. 4. There is a LOT of inequity built into the game. If you don't roll well (or at least similarly to other players), or you don't discover your destiny conditions as quickly as other players...you will really hate playing this game. And if that happens in consecutive chapters of the game? You'll find yourself hating every turn while you watch other people 'move on' while you're essentially stuck by failing your destiny conditions over and over again. Final Rating for me.... Components --> 9/10 Immersion ------> 6/10 Mechanics ------> 4/10 Fun ------------------> 4/10 OVERALL: 5.5/10

Guys, do you have any experience with ordering something on Amazon. I am in search of card-sleeves, but their delivery cost is like 70% of purchase value, also if I order 2 or 3 units from the same seller, delivery value is doubled or tripled respectively, which seems strange. That would mean their delivering expenses for sending 3 units at once are the same as delivering 1 unit 3 different times. i hope you understand what I mean, beacuse usually when you increase value of your items, delivery value doesn't increase at the same rate making it better to order more items at once. Any suggestions on how to make it worth it?

Janis, how old are your kids? I wanna play with my 9 year old son. Is it a good idea? BTW, your channel - fantastic job, almost must have for players 👍👍👍

Thanks for the good words. At the time of playing, my oldest son was 8 and daughter was 11. Youngest was 5 and the game did not interest him. I always say, it is never too early to try. If not now, you can come back to it later. /JG

@@BoardGameHangover thanks a lot! I'm pretty sure my son will be interested, but I was afraid it was too scary for him. I assume nowadays you are not spending money on kids therapy because of the game 😏😜 Thanks again and have a good week! Take care 👋 PS Greetings for the other Janis!

The SINGLE fact, that you can pretty much click on ALL THE BUTTONS one after another, is just a complete DEAL BREAKER for us. What we want is a option-branching narrative, with lots of options (at least three each time), and keep on seeing the story unfold in complete different ways. We've yet to find a game like this, and I think "Waste Knights" is the closest. But this one, feels a little mediocre from what I'm seeing. I really don't know.

You've definitely said some of what we felt also... The story doesn't really ''unfold'' through clever gameplay, or options selected... in fact, you're really just ''playing along to finish'' which feels frustratingly dull and lacking in immersion. The theme and groundwork of this game is so impressive but it failed to actually use the power of the app and immersive story genre.
