Man, back in the late 80's, and through the 90's, I used to carry a tape recorder with me wherever I went. My first tape recorder was this purse sized thing with a carry handle. Then I moved on to carrying a small walkman sized dictation tape recorder. Now, I have my iPhone with an audio editor app. I've been consistantly just.. recording sounds for YEARS now. I love collecting sounds and I'm obsessed with them. Even back when I was a kid, I enjoyed listening to those old sound effect records more than listening to music. I even have a large collection of sound effect CD's from the 90's.

I carry a Sony PCM-D50 with me wherever I go for exactly this reason. Lots of audio out there in the wild.

Very good advice, I love nature recording as well... I noticed recording in 192k gives you back that 'real' feeling of outside. I have tried lower, and yes the information was there but I suspect aliasing kills that more natural sounding noise/ wind/

Way interesting upload. The sound logo is as important as the physical 'image' logo or 'letter' logo. Either or, it's YOUR stamp or seal on various works. Cheers Ken. Yet another winner.

Would love to know what equipment you use to record away from the studio, mics, preamps ect.? This would make a really magical video. As always, a pleasure to watch. Nice one Ken.

A logo is branding. Check out Stones vs Buzzcocks in terms of branding. Now you understand why The Stones are all millionaires... BTW Reclamation (Too Dark Park, Skinny Puppy) also ends with a thunder!
