Designing a cute acorn notepad! Using Canva, Procreate, and crafty skills 🖌️

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This casual tutorial is for a horizontal notepad, which I haven't designed before! It would be great for recipe cards, or maybe with a magnet on the back for the fridge. Follow along as I design and illustrate this notepad, and also build a prototype using my classic notepad binding method!
This design is a contender for my upcoming spring stationery launch, so if that interests you please subscribe and stick around! You can also find me on Instagram where I'm posting cute art all the time~ / luckysprout.studio

I love the fall theme for this notepad. Fall is my favorite season and I'm really missing it now during the grip of winter 🥶

I believe the bottom part of the acorn is called cupule if you were still wondering that.

Hi Rebecca. I too am a new subscriber. Thank you so much for the tutorials. You are very informative. I too use 28lb paper. But mine always curl up at the ends is this normal or change paper. Sorry not home to see the brand I bought

Thank you so much for this tutorial! It is very helpful. I heard that you mentioned something about your notepads manufactured? Or was I wrong?

I've gotten some quotes from notepad manufacturers on Alibaba but I haven't gone through with it yet! ✨

love this theme!!! I'm sure your mom did too!! I have a question... if you have to go back in to add bleed... how would you do that? (once the design is completed at the chosen size)

If you were going to add in bleed, you could either use the Bleed feature in Canva (I don't usually use this so not 100% sure how it sets things up) or export your design as a PNG then create a new Canva design with the bleed added and import that original image to it. I hope that's helpful!
