God, I miss Desean. He might've been my favorite of the holy triumvirate of Rodgers, Jackson and Lynch that epitomized the dynamism of the Early-Tedford era. There have been a lot of great college receivers at Cal, including Geoff MacArthur, Marvin Jones and Keenan Allen, but nobody comes close to the 1 to watch.

I'm a eagles fan And I have nothing bad to say about desean it's thing that he does wonderful. And things that. He doesn't. But overall. I loved watching him play. Been a fan ever since I seen that crazy return. On Tennessee. He s. A beast and it's a pleasure watching. This guy. Play. No bad words toward him Just because he's not a eagle I will continue to watch. Him because I am a football fan first and foremost. And if you don't understand that What do you watch football For

its crazy after so many years im still watchin this video boy was a beast tho
U also come to realize how beautiful Nate's throws are. especially 2006.
One of the best Highlight EVER
Tony Gonzalez also went to Cal. Maybe his best years are behind him, but he's been one of the best TE's ever, and he is still getting it done in the NFL.
Favorite receiver
Imagine if he close SC. Lawd that 05-06 team would’ve been the greatest offense in CFB history
Sick video and great soundtrack especially the Last of the Mohicans track at the end!! Nice work

That Oregon game though.
Where can I find this promentory remix at the end of the video?
what a bonanza
If the College Football Playoff was happening back then, Cal woulda made the playoff at least one year. Anything can happen after that.
the gael from last of the mohicans theme, its a remix though i cant find it anywhere
whats the song at the very end? The one that is a beat i really like that one
Ever seen a bear fly.. got dammit..🔥
The beginning intro lowkey looks like a scene from That 70s Show
thats why hes in the NFL
If you're doing the ranking by what could/should have been, DeSean is undoubtedly the best receiver Cal has ever had. He was a once in a generation talent that was severely underutilized under Tedford. Personally, I think Desean's off the field issues at Cal was the result of Tedford making every effort to placate him, not treat him like an adult. Going off what they accomplished at Cal, not their talent or what could have been; 1. MacArthur 2. Allen 3. Jackson
This is fucking Beautiful
really enjoyed the exploding defender at 8:37
Whats the last song ??
for those who didn't know he originally commited to usc but told them he wanted to keep it on the DL but they couldnt keep there mouth shut and he felt he couldnt trust them so he went to cal instead. and thats what he was referring to when he said i wont be attending there at the start he was talking about usc.
what was the first tracks name
cool
Touchdown bears!!
@jeterwitzki2 he was recruited to play baseball as well
I don't think Tedford placated him at all. There were tons of kids that came through Cal in tedfords 11 years and most had a great relationship with Tedford, including stars like Marshawn Lynch, Aaron Rodgers and Jahvid Best.
Man the Eagles messed up.

I'd say hes had a good relationship with almost all players. Jackson on the other hand has had trouble in many spots and has made himself look rather foolish on more than one occasion away from Cal. And not sure what you're talking about with Keenan Allen. He's only gotten positive reviews at cal. And its silly and unfortunate that you would accuse him of faking an injury. The knee injury he had looked pretty legit when he came out during senior day with a significant limp.
Rodgers was a junior in 2004. DeSean was a freshman in 05, so they could have had one season if Aaron didn't go pro. But Rodgers would have been done after 05. Marshawn played from 04-06 and left after his junior year. Bishop was a jc transfer and was in his senior year in 06. So he couldn't have played another year. And Jahvid was a freshman in 07. And Nnamdi played way before all of em, was a senior in 03. Only Lynch could have played with DeSean and Jahvid.
No, The bears at one point (if all their players had stayed 4 years) could have had Rodgers, Asamaugh, Marshawn Lynch, Desmond Bishop, Desean Jackson and Jahvid Bhest as a rookie (don't hold me to that last one). I remember watching #2 Cal lose to Oregon State when one of the number 1 schools lost. Shake my head. Go bears.
6:04 announcer says LeSean Jackson
On the field, he was the best Cal has seen at WR in a long time. Off the field, he had room to improve. Not the best teammate in the world and someone whos attitude partially contributed to the disastrous nose dive of 2007. Overall though, the best WRs I've seen at Cal over the last 20 years would rank like this: 1. DeSean Jackson 2. Geoff MacArthur 3. Sean Dawkins 4. Keenan Allen 5. Bobby Shaw 6. Dameane Douglas

Damn Keenan Allen is from there too? I think so was Forsett and Best around the same time as D Jack. That's crazy.
it would be a dream come true id desean gets traded to the seahawks or 49ers
Joe Starkey used to be so good on the call! Now he's less energetic and he needs to give it up. Pass it on to the next man to take the mic in the Joe Starkey Radio Booth.
my favorite player thats not a raven
if u take the 3 big time players that play in the nfl that went to cal..u have Aaron Rodgers, Desean Jackson and Marshawn Lynch
Partially yes. The coaching staff at times has been perhaps soft on the team. But at the end of the day DeSean is most accountable for DeSean. The following season the coaching staff didn't have any problems with good team guys leading the way like Jahvid Best and Zach Follett. And I don't think DeSean has learned much over the years, even under a great NFL coach like Andy Reid. He still seems like the same immature kid.
Tedford has had good relationships with some players, sure, but I can name Allen and Jackson as examples that he gave special privileges to stars. Both players gave up on their teams and feigned injury to get out of games (Jackson in '07 after the collapse and Allen last year). Tedford let it slide both times, although last year it was of little importance since the team had already given up on the season as well. Tedford was never a good evaluater of team chemistry in response to his coddling.
He had the Dodgers and Angels caps? Lol
@komodo187x but he was never drafted
Probably USC's biggest recruiting loss, had they had him, they probably win another title or 2
2:24 -2:25 WTF?!!!!! O_O!
Who’s faster? DeSean Jackson or Tyreek Hill?
dennis dixon lost to longshore at home
@TheBostonCeltic if only he had an acurate QB
Djax didn’t go to USC because Pete carol didn’t give him number 1 what a fool
he played with a.rod!
agreed. he was immature and self-centered. still, those issues could have been mitigated by the coaching staff had they done a better job, don't you think?
Joe Starkey had one amazing moment (The Play) amidst a sea of (let's be honest) broadcasting mediocrity. One of his biggest failings as a radio voice is his constant state of disorientation. For instance, you'd never hear Starkey say, "Longshore has Jackson over the middle...", it was always, "Longshore has a man over the middle..." and then 10 seconds later you'd find out it was Jackson. Just so little awareness or understanding of the game, zero anticipation, and as a result, clunky and tepid play-by-play...
I rooted so hard for this guy. But I'll say I'm disappointed in his overall performance. Wrong college, probably went there because he thought he'd be the man. Should've went to usc. And should've had a better attitude in the NFL.
Just checking out our new toy :) I love reading some of the Eagle fan highlights of how they're better off w/o him, or he wasn't that good, um...that's called denial. You cut your clearly best WR and keep a racist...get nothing for him, have to pay him to leave and then signs with your rival. I hope the karma keeps pouring on the Eagles and their methed out fans.
