Still my favorite player of all time. Idc if we didn’t get to see *much* of what he could do when he’s right, his MVP season was a highlight reel in itself. Dude was unstoppable. Too big, too strong, too fast, too good.

D ROSE was unstoppable!!! None of the so called GOATS wanted NO Smoke from D ROSE at age 22!!!!! my all time favorite Athlete!!!
DRose is 1 of those players that is loved & respected by all fans in the NBA. To witness Prime DRose was an insane time
The body control this man had with the ball in his hand was special. He’s going to be talked about like the oldheads talk about Bill Walton but D Rose carried a bunch of defenders and under preforming Carlos Boozer to the #1 seed in East Conference the same era of prime Lebron and the big 3 Heat. He was special. 😢
D Rose was my childhood hero growing up. I learned basketball the moment I saw him play. He will always be my idol no matter what
Before his knees were busted he was the most electrifying player in the NBA, and also for the best franchise in the NBA

Yall disrespecting westbrook in these comments. I love rose as well but dammit westbrook was that dude too. Let’s not tear one down to build up another.
Derrick Rose has a DEEPER bag than Ja simple💯 idk how ppl argue this shit
He was like a small sport car with a super big Turbo . So fast so explosive but that power and explosiveness and speed was just too much for his body to handle . Which eventually led to his injuries. Remember seeing him in person here in Chicago, his speed and acceleration was out of this world once that fasbreak started no one i mean no nobody could out run this dude he was a blur in the open court just amazing acceleration and control “he was a ferrari with a bunch of hyundais out there on the court “ just like stacey king once said . Just amazing talent rose had I dont think we will ever see anyone close to drose. Winning the mvp at 22 in a league in a league with the best player’s in the world , this achievement will be one of the hardest to ever break for anyone been 11 years now and not one player has broken this achievement yet , how special and beast drose was, Ja is nice but not even close .

Not many talk about how insane his handles were. Maybe if he was healthy longer he compared to Kyrie or Jamal handles
He will always be an MVP!!!!
I still believe he was the goat when he was with the bulls before the injury. His explosives was to much for his body at that time. Better than lebron and wade.

No way rose was better than Lebron. Brons defense and scoring was much better than rose thats why bron locked him down in the ECF in 2011. I do think rose deserved that mvp though but clearly rose was never better than bron. Drose could have been better though if it wasn’t for the injuries. Injuries robbed us of his peak prime . But a 22 year old drose was nowhere close to miami bron. Thats one thing that people forget about bron his defense in miami. Those where his best years defensively. Ima big rose fan but I can’t ever say rose was better than bron cause I know and understand basketball I can’t agree with you sorry. At 22 rose was never better than lebron . Skip to like 5:33, I think that is like the greatest example of how ridiculous Rose athleticism was. He flies for the block, goes out of bounds for a sec, then accelerates into Ferrari mode, gets the ball, and then becomes a one man wrecking crew, ignores the D, calmly makes his way inside, spins like it's nobodies business, contorts his body and lays it in (against a great defender Hibbert too) Gosh Rose made me fall in love with basketball so hard, even if I could never play like him (not that anyone really can... although some come close)

This gives me goosebumps man. The body control mid air, this man had FINESSE! But he also was able to play through all that contact as well.

This guy (D Rose)went up against a stacked Lebron team. People give Bron credit for guarding him for a moment in the 4th. This dude was the engine and the offense of his team. Bron had monStars (Space Jams)on his team. He was exhaused while Bron was fresh. Most overrated statement made about Bron "he guards one through 5" nonse.

Man stop. Even in Cleveland when lebron lost love and Kyrie injured down 2-1 rose still ain't lead the bulls past Bron. And he did get locked up by a guy that can and has guarded 1-5. Go watch the 2013 finals when Bron was guarding Tim Duncan, kawhi, Tony Parker and got that huge block on Tiago splitter. Or when he locked up russ, harden, Murray, and Giannis. Derrick Rose is Derrick Rose but I just can help to see a mix of like, 50% of Allen Iverson + 50% of Michael Jordan in him. Such a great player and man.
He constantly landed on straight legs. I think this is one of the major reasons for his injuries.

My heart is soaring but my knee is hurting from watching this.
Amazing dude, he's the new Michael Jordan! I only came here because I bought Rose shoes from Adidas !! I love it
The Bulls did this young man a great disservice. He could have preserved his knees and probably prevented a lot of damage to his knees if they would have taught him how to land after jumping😑. As a Chicago native and lifelong Bulls fan his time there was special. Need to retire that #1 as soon as he hang it up

When Rose got that momentum going, there wasn't anyone who could stop him. The man was running on pure jet fuel. Once he got that step off, it was already over.
there was like a 3-4 year period during my high school/ college days where it felt like almost half the people on the basketball court were wearing adizero crazy lights
Damn he was good . I wonder how many trophies this man would have had he not been injured so many times
We all know about the injuries, but we all should be grateful that we got to see him play without them. How can you forget about this ultimate athlete? People talk about the GOAT - MJ, Kobe, Lebron, Bird, Wilt. Rose would def be in the conversation if he stayed healthy, but such is life of an athlete. He was awesome. The end.
King Rose instead of king james. That would be great and more appropriate if he didn't get injured.
