    @jayrezvani38212 жыл бұрын

    Yeah, I'm gonna call BS on most of what's been claimed in this video. Before the diet, I'm highly skeptical about him supposedly hitting a 440 bench at Bama. At the combine, he got 22 reps on the 225 bench. Last I tried, I got 18 and I've never gotten a whiff of 400 for any reps. Maybe he's close to that now, but if he could hit that in college his reps at the combine would have been in the mid 30s at least. That said, he could have been using a bench shirt, so maybe that would explain it. But either way, he has long arms and his chest isn't actually that impressive. His legs are huge though, and I've seen the video of him squatting 500, so no qualms with that. Regarding the food, first off, if I had to guess, they're all just lying and saying they're eating primarily plant-based to help promote Charity Morgan. If Henry supposedly had a hard time keeping on weight when eating animal protein, then it would be significantly harder if he switched to mostly plant-based. At best, maybe he has plant-based dinner every now and then or meatless Monday, or the team just has a bunch of vegan mac n' cheese every once in a while on camera (again, to promote Charity's brand). Additionally, plant protein doesn't "help your muscles heal better". Protein gets broken down into amino acids in the stomach, and when it is absorbed by your liver and into your blood, your cells can't tell the difference on where the amino acids came from. And the amino acid composition of most plant-based sources (esp if not a processed protein isolate) is garbage. So yeah, this entire video is filled with nonsense. Derrick Henry has incredible genetics, likely eats more or less like anyone his size who works out fairly frequently, and could possibly be enhanced (aka exogenous hormones; NFL doesn't even screen for test afaik). That's it. TLDR if you have aspirations to become a NFL running back, don't listen to anything in this video lol.

    Facts, for some reason they just love to promote "plant based diet" like Tom Brady's, but in reality it isn't lol They eat organic grass fed beef and wild caught fish etc thats not plant based lol

    Yeah, it's bs, they even did recent interviews and he said he drank milk all throughout, and that he loves milk, he said he loves steak chicken eggs, etc like first stated in the video on GQ magazine.

    Whatever drugs he is on legal or not are also keys to his success. More then his vegan tacos or w.e. The guy has access to top of the line p.e.ds anyone who acts like he doesn't is just lying. But needless to say the guys naturally just an insane specimen.

    Plant based is not anymore beneficial or sustainable than non plant based. Its a lifestyle choice and the only benefit is the placebo effect you get from thinking you're actually eating healthier. Eggs are healthy, chicken is healthy, lean meat cam be healthy, fatty fish is healthy. Why restrict yourself ?? Just my opinion about restrictions, but all factual about my health points.
