As an old Clapton fan, frankly, I didn't think you could pull this off, but your record remains unbroken - never a bad cover. Excellent slide, as usual, and the two of you make for a spectacular set of voices. I'm suitably impressed!

I have to say this was one of their worst covers. I say that as long time fan of LP. But, of all songs, with Duane’s iconic slide work on it, I think M needed to do more with the solo. The vocal, too. Hey, they’re great and gave it a shot, but this one deserves more work.

Oh yes "I know what time is, time is a thief..........." Still one of their greatest songs, one of my favorite songs. Love it.

The tone of that slide is amazing

A masterpiece, containing all the elements of the original played and sung by a duo. Megan and Rebecca you are both brilliant musicians. 👏

OMFG. Casual brilliance. They ALWAYS make covers their own - and the result is always stunning.

Layla is my favorite rock/blues song thank you for giving us your version, there cannot be too many covers of it. Erick Clapton's version is stunning with his vocals, I can't wait to hear your harmony ladies. I hope its an electric guitar version.

Carl Radle, anyone? Melodic bass lines that became a feature of his interplay with Bobby Whitlock from prior times with Delaney and Bonnie and Friends. Long gone (1980) and Jim Gordon on drums.

Not to mention live albums like George Harrison’s “Concert for Bangladesh” and Joe Cocker’s “Mad Dogs & Englishmen.” Was there a great album of the 1970s on which the name Carl Radle *didn’t* show up in the credits? 👍

You can hear the southern soul that Bobby Whitlock brought to the Domino’s in Rebecca and Megan’s version of this classic. It is a feeling that can’t be faked. Based upon that feeling, is why I believe this version tugged at so many heartstrings!

Props Megan for your take on one of the most iconic slide parts in music.

I have cherished the Derek and the Dominos album for a long time. And Layla is one of my favorite songs. Eric and Duane delivered a masterpiece. Your version is awesome. The vocals and especially the slide guitar are super. Thank you for keeping the music alive

Simply one of the greatest bands of modern day. Rebeccas voice is out of this world and Megan’s slide playing rivals the likes of Duane Allman. You guys are awesome! Truthfully, anything they do with a band that I've seen can't hold a candle to these direct, straight forward, no fills acoustic covers. They remind me a great deal of fretkillr from years ago. Great, unadorned arrangements and flawless delivery of timeless classics. What's not to love? They must have posted 2 hours of these. I'm a guitar tutor near Wellington, New Zealand. Several of my private students are female. Everytime LP posts a YT video I send out a mass text to all of them. LP has small, but loyal fan base here. One of them has gotten a dobro and is learning how to play it. I'm a functional slide player and we've gotten into the basics and she LOVES it. Now they've pretty much devoured all of the Lovell Sisters/Larkin Poe material they can find on YT. Gone to their website. As a result my female student are outstripping the males in terms of development. They see someone like them being badazz and they want to be like them. So, thank you ladies. When you come down under make sure you book a date in Wellington. The girls are waiting to see you in person.

Love, love, love this! There’s one thing only keeping it from being absolutely perfect: there is no high harmony on the last word of the chorus “mind”, which is key for spine tingling effect. And I’m sure these two awesome voices would pull it off masterfully.
