    He had already repped out 405 to failure before this, which is probably why he struggled some with the 850. He does experience fatigue like other human beings unfortunately.

    I'd like to see you deadlift 850lbs then. 850 lbs is an exceptional lift for anyone!

    Fanfucintastic, the man is incredible! Thanks for replying the way you did, just goes to show there are other intellectuals on here after all. His lactate threshold is certainly high; his vids also demonstrate his oxygen efficiency when performing high reps with huge weight. This is why his vids impress me Derek's bioenergetic diversity :)

  • @phiten40
    @phiten4012 жыл бұрын

    lol I definitely wasn't going to say that was his warm up! I think the 405 for reps was just another competition he was involved in. And he also did singles with 700, 750, 800 preceding this, I believe. For those reasons, this may be one of the most impressive deadlifts of all time. Incredible that someone can have such stamina at a high capacity like this.

    nah, i was talking about bands, not straps lol, bands are that rubber things that they use to take off some of the tension of the floor... his 1005 lift was 1005 just in the top of the movement, at the floor it was lighter.

    On a flat surface, I can roll that around. I run into some trouble when I get to bumps though. So yeah, I'm basically just as strong.

    The hummer-tire deadlift is a higher set bar. He's pulled 900 at normal height.

    I understand he repped out 405 before this but if you compare Derek who weighs like 330 lbs to say Pete Rubish who weighs 225 lbs. Derek used wraps and hitched 850 and Pete pulled 800 with no wraps and not hitch. I know it is a shit ton of weight but I just expect more from a pro strongman with over 100 lbs on a kid who lifts in his basement.

    He trains the hitch because it's a big part of strongman comp. Sort of like Oly lifters going ATG squats every day.

    yeah,because 850 just doesnt seem to be a weight he should struggle lifting for a single rep,because i have seen lot of videos of him handling similar weights for reps also.

    Hey there, have you heard of "Musclegends" (look on Google)? There you will find a useful free video explaining how you can build noticeable muscles really fast. This helped Ryan to overcome his body building stagnation and consequently build cut muscle mass free of fat very quickly. I hope it will help you too...
