Derby RTC Yard Full of Class 37 & 97 TRACTORS - Including 2 x Returning BANANA Test Rigs 13/08/22
An early morning visit to Derby Station & RTC to see 2 x Class 37's hauling Banana test trains returning to RTC after a busy nights work across the network.
See these trains position through Derby Station to be able to access to RTC sidings.
A visit to the RTC sidings reveals a large number of stabled ROG class 37's and also Network Rail liveried Class 97's. This is the highest number of 37's and 97's I've seen at RTC for a long time.
It was an early morning so light levels we're challenging however hopefully you enjoy the video!

Sad to see how Derby Midland has been butchered by progress. At least I can recall the days when diningcars were cut-in and out of through trains using the scissors crossovers down platforms 1 & 2, the Bellowing Fell setting out on its test runs to Manchester, loco changes, heavy iron ore trains lumbering behind platform 6 from Northants to Sheffield & Rotherham. They were the days!
