Thanks for the wonderful video and review of Der Dutchman (Plain City)! We live in southern IL, but our son lives in Ohio and we have been to that Der Dutchman numerous times; it is a great place to eat/shop! We always enjoy our meals there, and their breakfast buffet is the best!

Thank you so much, Dave! Thank you for watching. It is a great restaurant. We’ve never been for breakfast. Do they have the donuts during breakfast hours? We saw a 3rd island on the buffet but didn’t know if it was closed off because the crowd levels were low on the day we went or if it was a dessert bar in the mornings, where they serve their donuts.

@@EveryDayIsSaturdayTV They DO serve their cinnamon rolls and filled cream sticks on their breakfast buffet, or at least they did some weeks back when last there. That certainly was a nice treat in addition to all of their other great breakfast food.

Your boys are such good eaters and have good comments. They seem to get along so well. We have Der Dutchman and Yoders in Sarasota FL. I have been to them and love them-wish I lived closer!

That is awesome! We used to go to the Lucasville Trade Days and have visited the Bob Evans farm not too far from you. The Der Dutchman is the best. Their buffet is wonderful and we really enjoy their peanut butter spread. You grandmother must make some amazing gravy. Thank you so much for watching, El. We were so stuffed after the meal that we couldn't think about buying any other food items but we're going to buy a couple of jars off of their website because it was just so excellent. Very cool looking Amish buffet. I've never been to am Amish buffet before, but I'm hoping to visit one next month when we will be driving through Amish country. All the food looked really good and well prepared. The apple butter and the peanut butter also sounds like a must try. I also was impressed with the desserts. Thank you for another awesome video. Thank you! The Der Dutchman is a great buffet with lots of good comfort foods. That's awesome that you guys will be traveling through Amish Country soon - We'll be heading up to Lancaster County, PA in September to visit some more Amish restaurants. If you guys ever go to the Der Dutchman, you'll have to try to PB spread. It's unbelievably delicious...it's very sweet, but you won't regret trying it. Henry usually has one more final thought that he wants to include when we’re done filming but on this day, he wanted to make sure that we filmed it before we left😁. I’m glad you got to try another Der Dutchman. Was it as good as the one you used to go to ? Their food all looked delicious. That PB spread is great. It reminds me of PB fudge . Hi Julie. Yes, this Der Dutchman was just as good as we remember it being from years ago. That's a great comparison! - The PB spread does taste like a good fudge. We have been in contact with John and Bobbie and hope to meet up whenever it works for both of our schedules. They have some excellent videos and always find the best places to eat at. Unfortunately, we didn't have an opportunity to ask the waitress about the pie surpises. She seemed to have an extraordinary amount of tables and it appeared that she was having trouble keeping up with the large amount of tables she was assigned, so we didn't have a chance to see her except for the beginning and very end of the meal. That is so neat that you used to work at Der Dutchman. We have it on our list to visit Holmes County but we'd like to visit when we have a solid 3 or 4 days so that we can see and do as much as possible. As a kid, I went to the Der Dutchman in Waynesville, Ohio frequently. Sadly, they never rebuilt after the building caught on fire.

Your videos always make me hungry! Love the salad bar, so many dressing options, yum!! Oh my goodness all of the food options at the buffet look lovely. The desserts looks great too. I’m the same about green beans, sometimes I love them sometimes I hate them. Those pies look so good and I’m not even really a pie person. I am all about those beautiful soft pretzels though!! Hey buddy love your channel. My mom thinks Henry and Gentry are so cute likes to watch them enjoy themselves on yalls trips and reviews. I'm not trying to argue or be nick picky with you like your family and the adventure you guys take and food reviews. Hope yall continues to post we all here will continue to watch. But why get your salad along with your meal? I Thought it was odd or maybe I'm odd. I'm 41 years old I always assumed if you got your salad at the same time and ate your salad first , your main meal would get cold or vise versa if you ate your main meal first then your salad would get little warm especially if you had grilled chicken on it. But I always make one trip to the salad bar go set down eat it. Then go back to the main bar get my meal that way the cold foods stay cold and hot food stay hot and fresh. But any ways have fun be safe on yall trips we will keep watching and liking videos.

Hi Shon. Thank you so much for watching and commenting and thank you to your mom for her kind comments about Henry and Gentry. Great question! We're with you and usually eat the salad before the meal. We decided to eat the salad almost like a side dish here on this day so the temperature stayed constant with both the cold salad and also the hot food items. But just like you, we normally eat the salad at a buffet prior to our meal and make another trip. We just tried to reduce the trips to the buffet on this day since we were visiting with some family that we don't get to see often.
