Depression rooms are definitely real. My whole apartment is organised and clean and very beautiful but I am currently working with my own depression room. It used to be my husband and my bedroom and then we got divorced and I didn’t even want to go in there for a few months so I just put all kinds of things there and slept in the living room. Just very recently I have moved back into the bedroom and it helped me a lot to buy new bedsheets, curtains and such as well as redecorating. I now have a beautiful bedroom - at least 85% of it. There is still a corner with stuff I need to deal with but I am proud to have gotten this far.

I don't know how you do it, Carla, but everybody you meet and support is so nice! Maybe you bring some rays of sunshine and positivity with you! 😊 😊 😊

Love this…Masha’s 50!!!! Lbs gone, fast decisions, do-able time on project, awesome music and kitty! Very inspiring!

I especially enjoy the apartment declutters. When you don’t have a garage, basement, or shed things get real very quickly.

I watch quite a few decluttering channels and I am starting to think that the story telling of each item by the subject helps make it easier to let go of things.The sharing of the memory or the original intention of items honors the object and that makes it easier to release.

Just a tip, move the table away from the window and get your kitty some tower or hammocks there so he enjoys hanging out in the room even more. 🐱

Ha LOL... I had one of those rooms I used to call it "the avalanche room." Because it looked like a avalanche hit and everything just fell all over the place. My husband and I used to close the door and pretty much put a do not enter sign on it .Eventually we decluttered and got rid of the avalanche room. Bravo for her!.

My parents home had the Den of Despair! It was awful cleaning it out. At least half of it was my sibling’s 💩.

Honestly, I could feel the joy of having the weight lifted out of that room! Now she has space for creating more fun and joy!

Masha is a real OG of declutterring. What a joy to have someone who is able to make decisions quickly. I expect she’s internally done a lot of declutterring emotionally already. As usual, you facilitated the process with your usual grace and elegance. Well done to both of you. ❤❤❤

I hope the beautiful Masha gets a thrill of pleasure - joy - satisfaction every time she goes into the room for months and months! It's such a proof clutter can be an emotional block, because Masha and Mowie's home was so beautifully put together with loved items on display to treasure and everything with a home and in its home - and then this one room. Then she digs out pictures of a past relationship and she's been unwell - and suddenly the room makes perfect sense. Thank you for helping this lovely lady get back her creative action room - she and Mowie deserve the best 😊

So much better! I suggest moving the Kallax units on the wall to the right of the door as you enter. It would open up the space in front of the closet. You could then mount hooks on that wall to hang pieces of costumes while you are assembling them. Hang a full-length mirror to the left of the closet for trying on costumes! That small wooden shelf unit you took to the garage would work nicely to the left of the desk for storage of smaller accessory items so they're not all stacked in the closet.

Wow, not only the room was transformed through the course of this video, but Masha herself changed too. She looked so much younger and happier at the end. Like some boulders had been removed from her back. Thanks for the vid. It was encouraging to watch!

Dang she was good at letting go!! Her room is so big now she could ditch the air mattress and put a guest bed in there if she wanted.

I would alternate/hopscotch the baskets between the two units to make it look more like one unit.

Wow, fantastic results! She has so much floor space now. Maybe after she is in the space with the way it is for a couple of weeks, she might consider moving the cube storage to the opposite wall. This would help with everything not being on one side of the room and it feeling heavy and give better access to the other side of the closet. She was very inspirational!

Masha did soooo good. And now that it's so cleared out she will be able to easily go through each of her bins to declutter further. I bet she could find a lot more costume stuff to bring to the festival coming up!

When I was decluttering I joined a buy nothing group and when all my stuff was gone I left the group so I wouldn’t be tempted to take things from others.

i love how happy her and her cat looked at the end i'm sure it felt really great to finally deal with the room and now she can really use it again. i love that you're able to help so many different people she has a lot of really cool stuff. I've been doing a lot of decluttering by myself and I think a lot of people would be more able to work on spaces like this if they had such a great and nonjudgemental person helping them like this💖also her cat is so cute wanting to be part of all the action 🥺 lol

Maybe Masha could alternate the color of the bins between the two Units so it would be grey, then pattern, they grey, etc. nI also agree that she might move the units so she has better access to the closet.

I just love when you post because your more realistic about how long it really takes to decluttter that it’s not going to get done in a hour or in just a day sometimes so your my favorite Decluttering videos.

I resisted clicking on this video for a long time, even though I watch all your videos. Somehow the title put me off and I didn’t want to be sad. But this was actually an extremely uplifting and joyful video!!!! Team Carla does It again!!!!
