Those kitties couldn't clean their space themselves. I'm sure they are so grateful now to breathe easier and have cleaned potties to use. My heart goes out to all pets who have to live in similar situations as these did. Bless you Barbie for the therapeutic work you do. 🙏🤗🤩

A bigger area rug and a little furniture placement change would definitely minimize how much that damage shows ... the room is really not arranged to maximize it or for the best aesthetics. Now that it's clean, if I were the owner I'd definitely use this opportunity to "pretty it up" a bit!!! It needs "areas" defined.

If the person is unable to clean, etc, due to health reasons, I hope there is someone who can come in to help her to keep up with the litter box and cleaning now. There are services for people that need them, and I hope that she is able to get a compassionate person to assist on, perhaps a weekly basis. Barbie, I am so glad you were able to clean here. Now the kitties can actually use a clean litter box, and all can breathe better.

Very impressive that 3 cats live in this apartment because cats are very clean animals. Hope they live better now and the girl too. Good job, Barbie!!! You're always awesome!!! ❤🎉

The cat fur everywhere isn't JUST a mess, but the dander and cat urine can cause serious health issues - asthma, hives, dermatitis, etc., just exacerbating her existing chronic illnesses. Barbie, I admire your patience with tackling this kind of overwhelming mess. I hope the resident here finds someone to help her on a regular basis.

Agree, I hope she can get some help and someone to look in on her and help with kitties too, know her love for her kitties keep her going, but she needs extra help until she can feel better. It breaks my heart other than her sister that reached out she is on her own. Well wishes for home owner for her complete recovery. The kitties look loved and well fed, they are the sweetest kitties and knew you are helping. Ty for helping Barbie. You make a difference in this world.

As someone who gets allergic to her own cat at times, this looked like a nightmare to clean, I had asthma just looking at all the dust and cat hair! 😫😫😫

That litter box brought back old memories of a friend who lived with her cat in a similar situation. I was once cat-sitting for her and I cleaned out the overflowing box for her. I wish I had known then what I know now about depression and how to tackle overwhelming messes like this. I would have helped her clean the whole apartment.

I have a friend who's a hoarder, too, but she never takes me up on helping her ckean, so I dont offer anymore, and I'm not sure I cld do what needs to be done bc of severe back issues. She suffers from depression and the filth doesn't help at all! She hates how she's become.

I’ve been watching you and getting inspiration! I didn’t feel like cleaning but I read that an uncomfortable emotion lasts for about ten minutes and you can handle anything for ten minutes! Once I got stuck in I couldn’t stop! I have arthritis so sustained scrubbing can be painful so I got some tools! I bought a detailing set of brushes that attach to a power drill so now I just guide the drill and it scrubs EVERYTHING away! Last night I did my front bathroom except the floor because I’m using it for water to fill buckets so it would be a waste but the tub is pristine as is the sink and toilet! There’s no dust and the mirror is clean! I even wiped down the light fixtures and tossed away old products and unidentified flying trash as I consider it! Today I needed to do my kitchen which will take several days! I started with the cabinets and stove top which were sticky with grease from cooking! I was discouraged because Home Depot was out of the Zep degreaser for households! I was desperate so I got a bottle of the degreaser for CAR PARTS! As I sprayed the cabinet from top to bottom! By the time I got to the bottom the grease was literally running down the cabinets! I then rinsed with hot water and then used a Murphy cleaning spray to condition. the wood! I did my stove top in less than thirty minutes! My stainless steel oven is pristine as is my refrigerator! I did the oven grates too with no scrubbing! For people with illnesses that make prolonged scrubbing difficult the detailing brushes for the drill and the ZEP INDUSTRIAL DEGREASER would be lifesavers! I am so thrilled! My kids are watching me a bit scared but thrilled as I keep taking stuff to the trash or putting it away! The more progress I made the more I wanted to do! I got to even see the dining room table which gives me hope! It’s been so long! I feel hopeful finally! I can now actually believe my home will be clean for Christmas!

Dang girl! Y’all whipped that place into shape! That cat box was a real nightmare. I can’t imagine how bad the smell was-glad you were wearing breathing protection. Wow Barbie, you are absolutely amazing! I understand the pain, moving around, stairs, inability to get around. I have had 26 surgeries to include what she’s had. It’s hard, it’s painful and especially because I’m OCD about being clean, neat and organized. I had to force myself to find ways within my limitations to maintain my home. It’s hard, it’s extremely painful but I find by keeping my mind busy and forcing myself to move I can do it. I also have five cats and two dogs so know that if I don’t maintain it, it can easily get out of control. Many thanks to her sister for reaching out to you, for her agreeing to allow you to help and you doing an amazing job❤❤

Ikr! We have four cats, and especially during their spring and autumn molting, the fur is crazy. But we love them, so we keep vacuuming! 😄

The cats were so excited to have a clean litter pan. Mine always came running to be first as soon as the freshly cleaned box was ready, sometimes getting in while I was still filling it with clean litter! (I scooped the clumps at least three times a day and solids were handled right away, but they enjoyed a box that is really clean.)

You are an extraordinaire when it comes to cleaning. There is NO way i would have cleaned the cat litter box, it would have been trashed. You are unexplainable for doing that. I love your videos and thank you for helping this lady. I hope she keeps this up because I know this was hard work. ❤❤❤❤ The cats should have been boarded and a very strong disinfectant used. The smell will probably never go away unless the furniture is replaced. 😢😢 You did your best. A urine destroyer needed to be used. It probably would have taken away some of the smell.

I have found one product to be very good with cleaning animal urine, vomit, etc. It is called Odor-B-Gone. It was recommended to me by a professional carpet cleaner, after I had shampooed my carpet and left too much water in the carpet, and my whole house smelled like mold, and the carpet was a NEW carpet. Ugh. But I shampooed with professional strength Odor-B-Gone, and made sure not to leave the carpet so wet. When the carpet was dry, the odor was gone! That was 30 years ago. The product is still being made. I have since kept it on hand to clean all kinds of things that smell.

Excellent job Barbie & Johnny!!! Everything looks so nice now!! I'm so happy she asked for help and overcame that anxiety. That is the 1st step!! 💞👍💞👍💞💞

I can relate to that. Overcoming the anxiety is a major step to having anyone else helping. I know that for a fact. I have PTSD, clinical depression and anxiety disorder. I had a service dog who died 3 months ago and my favorite cousin died a few days ago. I am emotionally numb and frozen. I’ve had a difficult time for a LONG time cleaning up and decluttering my house and I can’t afford to pay anyone either. I’m at a point many of my rooms are getting harder to walk through. It’s embarrassing to have anyone over at all so for the most part I really really try to avoid it at all costs.

Thank you for thinking of your safety and wearing an industrial mask. Too many people scoff at the idea that such a place is a very dangerous environment where the air quality is extremely hazardous. Especially with the cat feces (poor kitties are innocent victims here).

Another amazing job there Barbie and helper! You are such a wonderful person. The cat hair was frightening. I have 2 cats and I sweep, vacuum and dust every other day. Cat hair and litter just get everywhere! I’m so glad you did this for the resident and the kitties. Everyone will breathe easier.

You've created a healing space in this home. What a tremendous difference! Great job, Barbie and mysterious helper! The cats certainly seem happy, and I hope their person is feeling better with such a welcoming room to relax in. 🙏

This was especially satisfying to watch, maybe because of the love she had for her cats. Now they will be able to enjoy each other in a clean space. Life will improve so much for all of them, thanks to you!

Somehow I missed this video, but I watched it tonight. I really feel for the lady who lives there battling back pain, an autoimmune disease and arthritis. Arthritis has suddlenly affected me, but I'm sure not as bad as her, and I am getting a knee replacement sometime in the coming year. Pain is so exhausting! If she lived where I live, in New Zealand, she would get some free home help courtesy of the government (taxpayer). I was stunned at the cat fur and filth though - that would be so dangerous for a person with an autoimmune disorder surely! I felt so sorry for the cats too, as cats are very clean creatures. The poor things would have been desperate to poo somewhere. Why on earth would she have that big, weird cat litter contraption?! A simple tray would be so much easier to keep clean! You and Johnny did a fantastic job once again. Thank you!!!

Excellent clean up job on what I consider a massive job. My heart goes out to the loss of her Father and to all she's endured. Condition of her living space can happen to any of us under certain circumstances. This is just my humble opinion, if her mobility skills due to her spine is still very challenging, if she's unable to keep it sanitary and semi clean, I think it would be highly beneficial if she could move into some type of assisted living, that's if a place exists where she is and she qualifies. Breathing that toxicity in on a constant basis will wreck her health worse if she's not able to at least maintain it herself or to pay for it. Health is most important. My thoughts and prayers are with her, I hope she's doing ok and she continues to recover. Blessings & light ❤

Amazing transformation for humans and kitties. Professional house cleaners in my area will NOT clean up cat litter let alone dig out 100 lbs of soiled litter from a box. The smell must have been horrific. You are to be congratulated on the herculean effort to clean up all that littter and hair!

I’m glad to see you’re taking precautions not to breathe in the dust, dander and bacteria. You’re doing such a service! I think I’d have used warm, soapy water on the worst parts of the floor. It’s already ruined.

I'm so glad that you could help this lady and her poor kitties. You can see how they didn't want to poop on the floor, they filled the litter box then went directly outside. Poor babies tried. I know the people can't help why these things happen but I do really feel sorry for the pets, they have no control or choice. I am barely halfway through the video, but just had to say thank you for helping all the people who are brave enough to ask for help! As someone who had a totally unexpected medical crisis that resulted in 5 major surgeries in 4 years, I don’t know what I would have done without my husband & family! Too bad we can teach the cats to use the shop vac! They say if you want to have nice things that stay nice, don’t have kids or pets. 😅 I have both and wouldn’t trade them for the world! I love them with all my heart-but wow can they make a mess! 😜Much love to you. Love your videos. I know it’s a lot of work after the actual work! Poor cats can get sick if litter doesn’t scooping or clean. I recommend litter machines self-clean or self-scoop. 😻

Amazing job, once again turning around a dirty chaotic room into a beautiful space. That floor is lovely and it's a shame that parts of it were damaged. I'm not sure spraying the TV was a good thing, better to spray the cloth and then wipe. The cats seemed to appreciate it all, and I'm sure the resident did too. I do hope the resident can now get regular help to maintain it.

Cleaning this apartment had to be one of the most profound and challenging tasks you undertake, with the cat poops and overwhelming degree of dust and grease you thoroughly exfoliated for hours exhaustively. Lord knows the last time it was well organized and altogether spotless. I am thankful someone assisted you because it will take more than one person to finish this job on time. I know that after you completed the apartment, you fell on your bed completely exhausted, you poor thing. I hope 🙏the tenant who occupies this apartment appreciates everything you did for her place to make it fresh-scented and livable again.

We use to have 2 cats and I remember cleaning the litter boxes… such a dirty gross job if not cleaned on a regular basis! This litter box looked like it had a months worth of pee in it. Good thing you had that mask on. Great job Barbie!
