yep plenty of people who see him in recommended but don't click because its not what they subscribed for 5-10 years back. I saw that video just like a bunch of us did and we wanted to know why he isnt popping off anymore, and its good to hear an authentic story.

tbh man, you still make great content, it's just different. I believe your issue with views comes from low click through rates due to having SOO many subscribers that are no longer active on your channel. I think you should start a new channel and advertise it here. Make the content you want there. Starting fresh will probably do you numbers in the algorithm rather than having over 1 million subs who don't click your videos. Just some advice from someone who has a decent understand of the algorithm, take it or leave it bro. Been subbed since 2013!

When I was 24 years old back in 2004 I was diagnosed with stage four squamous cell carcinoma cancer. It hit me hard. I beat the cancer. But the massive doses of radiation treatments messed my body all up. I also had a right radical neck disectomy surgery. The tumor was on my tongue so the cut half my tongue off. I had a stomach tube installed because I couldn’t eat or drink anything because of the severe burns in my mouth and throat from the radiation. I was so depressed. I didn’t have a girlfriend. But I had my family. But I was still very depressed. Especially when I had to give up my career welding at the shipyard. I still get depressed because now that I’m disabled I will never be able to afford to do what I wanted to in my life. I live in Maine. I can’t even afford to put a small home on an acre of land for Christ sakes. What you said about the monks in China really made me think. Maybe I shouldn’t let certain things depress me anymore. I mean I’m 42 years old. I should just be happy I’m alive pain or no pain. Sorry for the blabbering but thank you for being so honest. I really enjoyed this video. I’ll be looking for more of these videos from you. I wish you the very best bud. Take care of yourself. (A dumb ole welder from Maine)

I've been taking Lexapro for 8 years. It was the first (and only) anti-depressant/anti-anxiety I have been on. I started at 46 years old. Before that, I just accepted the nature of being depressed, anxious and sensitive most of the time. I agree with Andrew that it's more like "taking a supplement" than taking a party drug. There is no noticeable high, stimulation or sedation. My personal analogy is that it is like wearing a raincoat. It keeps you dry when it's raining. If you are feeling wet all the time... maybe it would help. I also would like to say that it doesn't seem to affect my motivation level in one direction or the other. It does mute emotions somewhat, but in a mostly helpful way. I also agree with Andrew that given the benefits and the minimal negative effects, it's best to stay on an anti-depressant if they are helping and you are prone to depression / anxiety / melancholy. Going off them is usually not a winning move.

You said it right at the beginning, “everyone has their own problems.” But the part of it being cliche is not true, it is actually the opposite. People like to hear about these things because the way society is today most people are not vulnerable or lack the ability to openly express their shadow. People like to hear about other people’s sufferings because we can relate to them and it brings diction to what one may not be able to form for their selves.

Really needed to hear this as I've seen friends & family OD, breakdown or switch 3 different brands to still go through mental breakdowns. Because of this, I try everything I can to not take medication. I still believe it's a useful tool, everyone's different and what works for you should not be frowned upon in the slightest due to experiences from other people. It's great to hear from you man. As someone currently dealing with very similar day to day spaceyness/ the many meandering thoughts,, I'm considering getting help and considering meds. Hearing your story helps remind me I'm not alone in this endeavor and TALKING ABOUT IT is extremely needed in today's society. We could be a much more tightly knit and caring community with these discussions if only we would all be more open to these deeper discussions and truly connecting with one another. That is the feeling that I get from you here. Sitting by (sounds like it) a lake, chatting about these things. That's life. Connecting with people. thank you for talking about this. i'm 24 years old with a great life, in grad school now, partying, happy but still suffer through anxiety and depression. i am an extremely extroverted person that everyone knows due to being 6'8 and a former athlete but no one ever expects me to deal with anxiety and/or depression. for no reason i had extremely horrible anxiety attacks from ages 19-23 where I thought i was going to die early and constantly felt panicked and would shake at night, unable to sleep and so confused why I felt like the world was going to end and i would die. i literally had times where I was thinking about my funeral and who would show up. i began lexapro 10mg and didn't feel much of a difference at all, went up to 20mg lexapro and it changed my life. for the past 9 months, my anxiety has almost completely been eliminated and my depression has lessened but still exists. the main side effect i've seen is feeling tired CONSTANTLY. even going to bed by midnight, i sleep in til 1pm usually and feel so exhausted. a few nights in the past month, i've slept in til 4-5pm and felt like I could keep sleeping. exhausted all the time but it's better than anxiety attacks. i hope you can get through anything in your life, especially mental health wise. lexapro did help me completely but still i often feel so lazy and unproductive and am currently trying to get my life together. best of luck brother
