this is the first time i heard the right thing to say about someone who has mental illnesses… its soothing to know, its not about we re lacked in dzikir or praying… its how our body receiving so many traumas or some of our hormones aren’t balance, we never ask to be mentally sick like this..and i searched around no sheikh that find my answer.. its hard to stand spiritually when mentally its falling.. its true.. and we dont know what to do… its like something is missing in ourselves.. but dont know what… i wish i can find other answer about how Allah SWT being merciful for people who is mentally sick.. because there are days where we re so dropped and dont want to do anything… including prayer its very sad….

I used to have anxiety and panic attacks daily before Ramadan, but alhamdullilah the attacks got less now. People who haven’t suffered these conditions might never fully understand how difficult it is to get yourself up and do something because you are consumed by worries, fear, and helplessness that you find it to difficult to remember Allah.

I agree it was never addressed in this way before, and I think it's because people lack the knowledge about these subjects. It used to be taboo to say that someone is dealing with mental and emotional problems, but now we know that it's just the same as dealing with physical problems. It's also the fact that spiritual practices help with easing the symptoms of emotional problems, people think that the lack of religious practices and faith are the reason and cause of the emotional crisis. this can be caused even by physical imbalances in the body. It's all connected and they all need to be addressed at the same time, physical, emotional, and spiritual. May Allah ease this burden on you, it helps to know that we are being rewarded for our patience, even though we don't see the rewards now but it's on the day when it matters the most is when we see it, if it was easy Allah wouldn't have created special doors to Jannah for the people of patience. know that we are all dealing with problems, it's just that Allah gives each of us the test that he knows they can handle. A teacher wouldn't give a second grade student the test for a third grade class unless she sees that student has strong qualifications and believes that he/she are ready for the higher level. We are all created to be tested not rested, that part will come in Jannah inshaa Allah after we pass. May Allah gives us the strength and guidance to stay and not stray from his path

A real answer coming from someone having dealt with heavy depression? Find someone to talk to about your emotional problems. Talking helps a lot. In bad cases when its really heavy, maybe therapy. I did 11 sessions and got out of it really well. Also writing helps a lot, writing it off from your chest. Having that said, keep up prayer ofcourse inshallah. May Allah forgive your dad and make him rest in peace. InshAllah youll be able tool deal with this, and this will strenghten you only.

So well said. I have heard from numerous people lecturing me to become close to Allah to cure my anxiety. How heartbreaking is that when people question my relationship with Allah and make me feel more vulnerable. I am looking for support and they make me more isolated by telling me that it is my fault that I have anxiety and panic attacks.

Alhamdullah, spiritual state of mind plays a big part of healing, which is why people who deal with such problems are often mistaken to be lacking faith. This is why people who are battling cancer for example, the ones with high spiritual state have greater recovery then the ones that don’t, but you still need to go through the medical therapy part of it as well. Subhan Allah, everything has to work together.

I wish more people in my religious circle would know this and treat me like that. He is the kind of person I would ask for guidance and happily listen to when I have a problem. He thinks big, it's comforting when you ask for an advice. For some reason I can't trust religious leaders in here and it's unfortunately a contributing factor with young people being far away from religion.

It's so true. It is only after I got out of my depression and started to actively better myself that I also became religious again. Only after my heart started to heal, did it open itself to Islam. And now, Islam is what is supporting me. People who have never fallen into despair, they say depression comes from not being religious enough. And like this video say, it's the wrong approach.

For years now I have been trying to find an answer. Anyone i talk to tells me, well Maybe cause you stopped praying you are having these panic attacks “ I was diagnosed with ptsd, just had a lot of people passing. In the matter of a few years I had been to over 30 funerals of close friends and young men. ( that now when someone passes it’s a trigger ) I used to pray and not miss a prayer , but it got to the point where I couldn’t lift myself off the ground, and now I am struggling trying to pray. ( I started praying in a chair and I find it helps ) But hamdellah this is the first message I have heard that truly doesn’t make me feel broken. I almost skipped the video because the background music made me think it was going to be another message telling me why this is happening and telling me a simple answer. When the problem is not simple at all.

It's what imams say to abused women & children when u plead to them to intervene. Have 'sabr.' I'm a child of this environment. The trauma has been long lasting into my adulthood. The decision and my attitude was effected. My mom's dead now. Every time I hear from the elders in the community, Oh, she was a good woman.' Angers me, I literally have to force myself not say anything and walk away. I've struggled with my emotions and relationships with various people. I've finally learnt how to regulate myself around certain people. One good thing has happened because of the childhood abuse, I came to learn about Islam. Im stronger as a person but can be vulnerable at times also. It's a dominoe effect, Some of us siblings have been guided, and others unfortunately haven't yet.

Really true, feels like, 1st time someone understood me.....
This is so true. Im told to pray more while having lost my dad and trying to deal with it and it doesn't help what am currently feeling. I know it will help but for now I need emotional help not someone to tell me to pray

I wish people to understand that state of mind. Ustaad is really understanding and describing things which satisfies ones chaos
I had severe panic attacks which would last days or weeks but when I turned to salah and Allah gave me the ability to try and reconnect to Allah, my panic attacks just went away and I’ve never had them again Allhumdulilah

My brothers and sisters please try to stay happy because It is shaitan that wants us to be sad and depressed so if you are sad just do something that makes shaitan sad not you always stay happy and if you want me to make dua for you just comment here ❤❤❤

Good morning, your dua might be helpful
I wish more people in my religious circle would know this and treat me like that. He is the kind of person I would ask for guidance and happily listen to when I have a problem. He thinks big, it's comforting when you ask for an advice. For some reason I can't trust religious leaders in here and it's unfortunately a contributing factor with young people being far away from religion.
finding solution of our fear , and الله invocation and trust that everything will be okay
I have anxiety and panic attack but this vedio is enough for me thanks ❤
That's deep
It's so true. It is only after I got out of my depression and started to actively better myself that I also became religious again. Only after my heart started to heal, did it open itself to Islam. And now, Islam is what is supporting me. People who have never fallen into despair, they say depression comes from not being religious enough. And like this video say, it's the wrong approach.
It made my day🥺. Thanks for your valuable words 💓
Ya Allah swt guide me please ya Allah please I really need your help heal my mental health problems. Ameen 😢😢

Mash’Allah 🙌
Very true what he is saying here spot on actually ❤
A lot of my female relatives have been suffering deeply with anxiety and depression there islam is on point. Yet they are mentally emotionally physically drained of having to be both roles Income provider and homemaker & mom role They receive no support or help to actually solve the problem instead their religiosity Get judged Some left Islam altogether some on depression pills and unfortunately some had to leave to get the peace they’re searching for.
Thank you for relying this message so beautifully. My mother suffers from anxiety and depression and she literally struggles with every each kind of daily chores on somedays including prayer. All of my relatives whenever they calls her, or comes to our home calls her sinner and how bad she is and what kind of worst sin she is doing. I just feel so sad looking at her face at that time.
Remember life is a test always look at it from that point of view , Subhan Allah this is Duniya…
Subhanallah
This opened my mind
I had a incident which i felt was near to death before a year , that incident didnt harm me anything just after for 10-15 min i was good , but that fear of death bought me into anxiety, panic attacks , if i have small pain in chest , i do lot of ECG to check heart condition, its been more than a year still struggling to overcome out of it , i was never emotional , but now i tears come out of eyes for everything, i i hear translation of quran i cry , for everything i cry 🥹 , still that fear is inside me

The way brother Noman gets to the core of any topic and elaborate it with amazing choice of words is what I've always loved. Allah chooses and puts people in positions where they become source of knowledge for others. Subhan Allah. May we all be guided to the right path and stay firm and steady in our imaan inshallah may Allah put our hearts at peace with whatever we go through in life. Prayers for everyone. ❤

Well said, nail on the head. You can't tell a drowning person to pray their way out of that situation.
Masha Allah
Superb, excellent appreciation that mental health is not necessarily a symptom of poor faith but can certainly erode one’s faith without supporr

Beautiful ❤️
Awesome, Awesome, Awesome

If you ask Allah for Paradise, then ask Him for al-Firdaws al-A‘la…’ “Allaahumma inni as’aluka al-Firdaws al-A‘la min al-Jannah (O Allah, I ask You for al-Firdaws al-A‘la, [the highest part of Jannah])
Exactly
Profound 🤲🤲
Soo true. Also they will say you are mad .
Great
Thank you Thank you soo much

This makes so much sense
I can fully relate to this concept sir and i have never heard any one who take such topic I really appreciate your effort and how you talk about day to day realistic problem . I understand the difference but can discussion the solution how to over come from it when there is no one or the situation to heal.
Yes.✔️
That's what my teacher who is psychiatrist told me
Finally i found someone who understands how I feel. I smile outside with a mask on while i am a struggling inside. Ya Allah help me overcome this. Will i be considered my eman been weak if a ask for medical help? I am breaking.
